We did not see the no food and drink signs and my husband brought in an empty metal cup. We were told as the woman walked past us and not to our faces, her back turned to us the whole time, to put it at the front but my husband wanted to hold onto it just to not forget it and my husband even indicated it was empty. The woman then proceeded to loudly talk about us with another worker as we were also the only ones in the store. She said "they can probably hear me talking about them" and said it was rude and she didn't like rude people. We promptly put back the merchandise we had been holding to buy and left the store, she was also singly loudly a song about thieves and jokers and singing get out. Yes we did not see the signs walking into the shop as there is a lot going on in terms of signs at the front of the door so a kind warning letting us know drinks and food are not allowed would have been sufficient. She did not have to talk loudly about us trying to embarrass us to the other worker. This is not even kind or customer care at all. If you would liked to be talked down to and treated poorly this is your shop. Not that it should matter, but I am also a visibly Muslim woman and she was very peachy to other Caucasian customers prior to our entering the store.

It seemed like the vendors had autonomy to sell what they wanted. The single employee would call a vendor if there was a question from a prospective customer. Some displays were behind glass, but the majority were open, counting on the carefulness of customers. We stopped by to see if we could pick up a memento from Morro Bay, but no luck. My wife did end up buying a blouse from a brand that she liked, so the trip wasn't a total loss. I did enjoy slowly wandering down the cramped aisles...a lot of hobbyists displaying their passions: a lot of toys, comic books, and hardcover novels.

I really enjoyed walking around the store called Dress Your Soul, which reminded me of a store that…read moreused to be here about 10 years ago, but left the area called Southport Traders They have interesting things from all over the world, including clothing from India, quartz and special scented candles, as well as crystals I liked some of the sweaters and sweatshirts and felt they were totally appropriate to wear in Morro Bay, which is by the sea where it gets a little chilly, They also had a life-size statue of La Katrina and her partner. The woman working there even offered to take our picture with them, so it's a great place for selfies or photos. I sometimes forget about the unique shopping opportunities in Morro Bay, but I'll be sure to return to Marina Square to check out this store for gifts!
