Lady with the short hair and smoker voice is insanely rude. Beware. Visited 9/2 on Labor Day for our day visit. We did not see the no food and drink signs and my husband brought in an empty metal cup. We were told as the woman walked past us and not to our faces, her back turned to us the whole time, to put it at the front but my husband wanted to hold onto it just to not forget it and my husband even indicated it was empty. The woman then proceeded to loudly talk about us with another worker as we were also the only ones in the store. She said "they can probably hear me talking about them" and said it was rude and she didn't like rude people. We promptly put back the merchandise we had been holding to buy and left the store, she was also singly loudly a song about thieves and jokers and singing get out. Yes we did not see the signs walking into the shop as there is a lot going on in terms of signs at the front of the door so a kind warning letting us know drinks and food are not allowed would have been sufficient. She did not have to talk loudly about us trying to embarrass us to the other worker. This is not even kind or customer care at all. If you would liked to be talked down to and treated poorly this is your shop. Not that it should matter, but I am also a visibly Muslim woman and she was very peachy to other Caucasian customers prior to our entering the store. read more

Best shirt shop on the Embarcadero- best selection and best prices. We were able to get some souvenirs for friends and family who were expecting gifts when we returned home. Happy the they have extended sizes- they carry up to 5XL. Most of the selections for men went up to 3XL. No extra charges for using your credit card- purchase just needs to be at least $4 Same guy was working the 3x we popped in during our recent visit to MB- he was happy to let us try on various items and take photos to send home to friends and family to ask color and size questions. They even had new items that went out on the sales rack while we were here- made hubby very happy. He gleefully said it was going to make his fall wardrobe more exciting. read more

The Shirt Shop in Morro Bay! LOVE this shop. My husband and I go to the Central Coast and stay in Morro Bay, every November, for at least a week's vacation. This place is a "must" go to when visiting. I've gotten loads of quality T-shirts, sweatshirts, various jewelry, and trinkets there over the many years. I recently lost an earring, but distinctly remembered what store I had purchased the pair from . The employee looked into it, when I called for a replacement, and contacted the artist who designed them. Voila! Luckily, the artist still had the same pair in her stock. I was elated! Just like the other 2 recent reviews, had a bad customer service experience here too. Walked into the store to no greeting, which I normally don't mind except a couple of patrons came in after and nicely asked a question about selection. The cashier grumpily pointed them in the direction of "those people" aka me and my bf. When not finding what she wanted, the customer said thank you before leaving the store and the cashier made an annoyed sound. Immediately dropped the things I'd picked up and walked right out too. No need for such attitude, especially when people are being nice. read more

Friendly staff, always a go to spot to get some nice Morro Bay shirts for friends and family. I especially like that they have a large infant/child section. Wall-to-wall display of novelty shirts [Morro Bay CA] After walking up and down Embarcadero in Morro Bay stopping at all of the t-shirt shops I finally found the kind I like in this store. After browsing and finding potential purchases, and trying to remember to return to them to buy them later, the stores were starting to all look alike. They were all cool stores with nice shirts but some of the price tags were "tourist" prices and were more than what I'd like to pay for. The Shirt Shop was the last store we were going to stop located at the end of Embarcadero before turning into Front Street (just next to Giovanni's Fish Market And Galley around the corner). The Shirt Shop didn't have that many but I was looking for a women's shirt that's designed to be much narrower in the waist than a men's t-shirt... men lacks definition (in shirts, that is) LoL! the cut is straight for the bulk of the t-shirt. Most of these shirt stores are 95% men's cut. Anywhoo, we wandered around inside. The store was packed with merchandise and very cramped. Lucky for us it was later in the evening and not that many customers, we probably only had an hour left before the store closed for the day. All of us each found a shirt (mom found a pullover sweatshirt). The shirts are great quality and the prices were reasonable. Hubby even found a shirt he liked under the clearance section ($6.95). My son got his sweatshirt wet at the beach. So I was on the hunt for another one. I remembered the Shirt Shop has great prices compared to most stores in Morro Bay. Sure enough, as soon as we walked in the store he found a red lifeguard sweatshirt he liked. He tried it on and loved it. 24$ you can't beat that! They had some 2 for 50$ sweatshirts and some other pretty reasonable deals. I wasn't crazy about the baseball caps though. We were greeted as we came in, customer service was great. It's a packed tight store, so if you get a handful of people in there it's too much. My husband left because it was too busy. My son is very happy with his new sweatshirt and so is my wallet. read more

This shop is a fine establishment. They have reasonable prices, and the merch is excellent quality. It is located on prime real estate on the embarcadero. The staff is really friendly as well. My last trip I got a new sticker for my collection. I even scored a 4XL T-shirt for my pops big Lou, now finally we can have family photos where we all have matching shirts! I'm retired now and need not wear a crisp shirt and tie to look "professional". Increasingly, my personal wardrobe is a mass of sweaters and sweatshirts. While relaxing on a visit to Morro Bay, I stopped at The Shirt Shop and purchased two sweatshirts, only to return for another. The prices were reasonable, the sweatshirts are comfortable, and the sweatshirts have survived the cold wash, rinse cycle and dryer - the ultimate test, in my opinion - to emerge just as comfortable as they were when I first put them on. I come every year to this shop for myself and my kids. The cashier was very rude. He over priced me and once leaving the store, i called and he was rude over the phone to me about my overpriced purchases he given me, when the sticker said something way different. He wasn't willing to give me my phone back all he said was to give me store credit. His own words "well i can't do nothing about it, store is closed. " rude the whole time.
