I bought a couple pair of earrings, a few jade/gem bracelets, a couple pictures made with sea glass and a jellyfish wind shine. As I was walking out, I spotted a beautifully made driftwood garland. So I turned around and bought that too. There is so much more to explore in this shop. I definitely will be back and highly recommend checking it out.

The stop ended up being successful, with my wife picking up a tea cloth with Morro Bay embroidered on it. She was hand making bags to put all your goodies in and they were so cute. I ended up getting a few things so I got some that I'm going to regift. They have trinkets and gifts for every kind of person. There's cards, jewelry, art, products from locals and there was even a kid section. I found several things for myself as well as presents for others. I actually had to stop myself from spending too much, I wanted it all. The building is very inviting to begin with because it's wood and has brick flooring throughout. Everything is displayed artistically with lots of space and in a manner that you might use it in your own home, it's like walking from one beautiful dining room to another beautiful area of a home. I started adding pottery from the Garden Gallery to my collection of housewares and they have served me well over the years because they're always such high-quality. Happy the they have extended sizes- they carry up to 5XL. Most of the selections for men went up to 3XL. No extra charges for using your credit card- purchase just needs to be at least $4 Same guy was working the 3x we popped in during our recent visit to MB- he was happy to let us try on various items and take photos to send home to friends and family to ask color and size questions. They even had new items that went out on the sales rack while we were here- made hubby very happy. He gleefully said it was going to make his fall wardrobe more exciting.

Some displays were behind glass, but the majority were open, counting on the carefulness of customers. We stopped by to see if we could pick up a memento from Morro Bay, but no luck. My wife did end up buying a blouse from a brand that she liked, so the trip wasn't a total loss. Apparently the clerk I got on the phone was, unfortunately the same one that has gotten several negative reviews. She sounded older, think she said her name was Martha. I hadn't even finished telling her what I was looking for, and she cut me off, saying "Could you please call back, thank you" and hung up on me! Just like that! Not sure I want to make an hour and a half round-trip if she's going to be running the store, and I don't even know if they have what I want! Owner needs to consider either having a serious talk with her, or letting her go (hopefully she isn't the owner!)

Some of the real beauties are the frames and little animals that they make out of shells as well as the ships made out of shells. I got a lot of scallop shells to use to make craft items with, ranging color from pale white to a beautiful coral in natural colorations. My halibut entrée came with a surprisingly small portion of fish, the vegetables (carrots, squash, broccoli) were cold, and the mashed potatoes were bland and together tasted like a very basic side dish for a $38 plate. The busboy brought the main dish right after the soup, so I had to rush to eat the soup. The waiters should stagger the plates. Overall, the meal felt overpriced and underwhelming. The staff did their best during a very busy rush, but the kitchen simply didn't deliver.
