just left the restuarant after a very nice meal. The doors were wide open so it felt like we were alfresco, which was very nice. We were the only people there at 5pm. We ordered 1 hot meze and 1 cold and i can safely say they were among the best i have eaten before. For the main we ordered the mixed grill which had a variety of tasty meats on it served with 2 diff types of chilli, salad and rice. You were also offerred 2 condiments chilli and garlic sauce The food was very filling and tasty and can not fault it. The decor was nice but a little dusty on the floor and table we were on poss because of the doors being open? They have belly dancing on a saturday and when i asked about booking a mums night out they informed me they could book a man lol. I know this will be an absolute hoot on a girls night out. I will definetly be back and can recommend it.

Bill comes in a cute treasure chest with complimentary Turkish delight or 'lukum' as it is in Turkish

Was nothing great. Not very authentic food. Our glass had some yucky stuff in it. Completely put us off. Hygiene is questionable

The interior is very nice and as I had arrived just after noon I had my choice of tables. I sat by the window for a nice view out onto the street. While I was waiting for my meal I was served a bowl of warm flatbreads (apparently made in-house) and a little bowl of olives. The main course I opted for was adana kofte served with rice and salad. The lamb was cooked on skewers which are then removed before serving leaving two perfect pooh-shaped sausages on the plate. And very tasty it was too despite the slightly off-putting appearance. The salad was very nice and a generous portion too. I just about managed to finish my meal (washed down with a glass of tango) despite the flatbreads almost having filled me up. The bill arrived along with a small, but greatly appreciated, cube of turkish delight. Service and ambiance was excellent, I look forward to returning and trying something a little less pooh-shaped.

Turkish food, mainly kebabs. A great array of starters too. We went for the Special Mixed Grill for two. All meals come with complimentary bread and olives. Service is friendly enough and the decor of the place is great. Great value, quality food. A great place for lunch or dinner

The interior is a modern, stripped back take on middle eastern decor, but with traditional imported wooden furniture. There's a small seating area the front and a larger area behind the kitchen. The food is familiar Lebanese cuisine with hot and cold mezze for around £5, from which you could construct a satisfying meal, with grilled and roasted meats, fish and stews for the mains. We chose the vegetarian menu for two at £35, which provided a choice of 7 starters, followed by moussaka and rice. We had baklava to finish. It was a great way to introduce my dining companion to this type of food and everything was wonderfully tasty. There's a similar non-vegetarian menu for £35 as well. They're not licensed but you can bring your own wine, and they don't charge corkage. Service was polite and efficient, and they waited until we had finished the starters before bringing the main course, so it felt unhurried. The bright decor means it doesn't really tick the box for a romantic evening, but it is a good choice for groups or families.

Abdullah, the main cook, has good taste in Lebanese music with respect to traditions of Fairouz and Marcel Khalife - and he knows the Beirut pop beats of Nancy Ajram as well. A respectable establishment that I shall frequent from this day onwards. My standards with Lebanese food are high, and Aya has met the very highest in food quality. The only downside is that this outlet of Aya is a small "hole-in-the-wall" concept, and has a few small tables. Better for takeaway.

Authentic Turkish food! Amazing, just amazing service from Berken and his team with the smiles and warm" where have you been" greeting the second we entered! Belly dancing( better get warmed up and ready to jump in); The best kebabs in the south and east of London, not just my vote but unanimous via polls and 5 star customer reviews. Gorgeous interior. Beautiful tea. Huge portions. Unbelievable prices - €35 for a multi course dinner( three meals in one basically). The aesthetics and ambiance of this restaurant were great and we soon found out that Thursday is 'Belly Dancing Night'. Ordered more food than we could ever finish as we do not have easy access to Turkish food back in the States. We ordered garlic bread (thumbs up from my son), the cheese platter/ tomatoes, fried cheese rolls, Scottish ribeye, mixed grill platter, Chicken shish, and chicken addana. Everything was great however the Adana was a bit dry. My son and I loved the Ribeye steak which had a rosemary flare to it. Solid 4.3 out of 5 and would definitely return if we are ever back in this part of the Country.

The shop was still busy with customers eating in, the meat was still slowly roasting and the guys behind the counter still looked rather clean and neat. I liked this right away as it proves they are running a hygienic business. They have a little sofa for people to wait while their meat is done. We had Kebab and Sishe Kofte (one of my favourites), took it home and it was delicious and filling. I will go there again for sure!

Decent kebabs, good value for money, authentic staff…read more I judge a kebab place based on the size of the meat skewers slowly being grilled and if the fire is on. Nothing more I hate than seeing a kebab shop where the meat isn't turning and the grill isn't on. Either they haven't had a customer in ages or they just can't afford to utility bill, neither of which is really promising. Marimaris has the meat on fire and turning and since I had missed lunch and dinner and was walking up Balham high street towards the common, I thought I'd give it a try. I got a large mixed kebab and the thing was damn huge. There was so much meat and veggies that I ate my fill (and I'm no shirker when it comes to putting away food) and still have a bit left over. I felt guilty throwing it away but you reach that point where you know another bite is just going to be a bad life decision. Yeah I was past that so definitely time to go. Food wise, the meat is satisfying but by no means the best I've ever had. It's good for 6 pounds to get enough food for two regular people and it's close to my new house so I'll give it another try.
