He is confused about the type of water line I have and didn't demonstrate a basic understanding of the differences between PEX-A and PEX-B. He then quoted me $850 in labor alone to cut out a small section of PEX and install the valve--even though I would be providing the Moen Flo device myself. To "justify the price", he claimed the system would need to be "programmed," but my own research shows that the Moen Flo does not require any special programming during installation. Charging that much for a job that should take well under an hour felt unreasonable and misleading. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a plumber, and STAY FAR AWAY

At the end of this, our AC units weren't working! It turns out that either the initial technician, or the technician who was providing an estimate for new systems, had left the breakers off at our two main compressors. Intentional? Probably just negligent. But a homeowner who just wanted working AC would have been stymied. Champion's service contracts are significantly overpriced, vis-à-vis the competition. My advice - stay away from this company. They only want to sell you overpriced services and systems.
