The staff is very polite and accommodating. The theater is impeccably clean and I like that they say right in the website that the movie will start at X time with 20 to 25 minutes of trailers ahead of it. AMC 309 is a smaller and older theater location located alongside a strip mall in North Wales. It's done a decent job of renovating throughout the years and the auditorium where I saw a movie had what seemed to be brand new leather recliner seating. Concessions are overpriced as they are at most theaters, but the employees need to be cared as the popcorn was excessively salted compared to the AMC theater location that I regularly visit. While I appreciate an air-conditioned theater in the summer, it was a few degrees too cold for my tasting and should turn it down a notch. I tried purchasing tickets online MULTIPLE times, just to receive the same screen that said my payment wasn't processed. When I checked my bank account, I saw that the payment had gone through but now I don't have any tickets. I tried calling two different numbers to get a refund and nobody responded. So now I need to get my money back through my bank when the website shouldn't be malfunctioning in the first place. It's frustrating, to say the least. Wanted to see a movie that was showing in a limited number of theaters and I was pleased they had it at this theatre, so close to home. You can buy tickets online or in person at their self-check out. They have updated seating with the recliner chairs which is awesome. The picture on the screen is very clear and the sound is great. Not a bad seat in the house. Popcorn tasted fresh. Staff were friendly and facility was clean. Overall impressed by this venue, and will be back again soon. Plenty of parking out front. read more

Went to see Jurassic rebirth. Theater 1 seats look like a cat used every seat as scratching post. No leather seats after all that remodeling. Every theater in the area has leather reclining seats. Be all means; go to another theater, the Frank or Regal Warrington. We got three food items, the nachos, mozzarella sticks, and waffle fries. I was told the hot dogs would take 10 minutes to cook; but everyone ordering after me got hot dogs instantly. Staff is uninformed and temperamental. Nachos were cheap and cheese was cold. Mozzarella sticks were good. Go to Chick-fil-A for waffle fries. I will not be visiting AMC theater any time soon after this experience and I frankly want my 39$ back. read more

every time i'm here the teenagers behind the counter look at me like i have 5 heads when i tell them i have a mobile order. it's never ready on the shelf like it should be and ends up taking up extra time that it's supposed to avoid. also it's just an unorganized mess with the concession line no one understand the "amc insider line" vs the regular and it just makes it all take longer. i'm so over it regal is always good about mobile orders. pls train the staff to pay attention to online orders and put them out or don't offer it if it can't be done. read more

Great seats for comfort that recline and you pick your seats ahead of time, good start. On to the bar review, as I love the opportunity to indulge in a good cocktail while putting my legs on. The bar unfortunately is only open Friday - Sunday : / The bars drinks are not cheap but are fun AF, a lot of motif drinks named after block buster movies. Call me corny but I love it. Popcorn has always been fresh, slushies machines have always been working when I visit, candy display average. All in, this is my go to movie theater in the area and they have great deals on Tuesday if you are a Stubs (AMC loyalty/reward program) card member. As always people SYOY!!! read more

AMC 309 use to be a dinky old Theater that I just stop going to a few years ago. They remodeled and reopened in 2018. The theater is beautiful now! I'm not the type of person that stops at the overpriced snack bar for popcorn and soda. Just want to see the movie. I did notice this theater is a little cheaper than most. Which is a plus. Also they offer special deals for AMC Stub members. It has a full service bar and you can serve yourself with the fountain drinks. The theater itself is beautiful with big comfy reclining seats. I can't speak for all the amenities, but a really like this move theater. If I'm in the area, this is my go to theater. read more

It's been a long time since my wife and I had taken in a movie. Mostly because of this thing, not sure if you've heard of it, called COVID. My wife is a huge fan of the Fast & Furious Saga, and I don't mind them, so we made a nice little date night for ourselves. Unfortunately when we got to our seats, they were FILTHY. My wife got someone and they came and cleaned them. But that's not the point. First of all, in any circumstances a seat shouldn't like this on arrival, little things, sure, the cleaning staff only have so much time between showings. That said, in the COVID environment when you've got the stones to tout your enhanced cleaning protocols this is disgraceful. I've attached a screenshot of the urgency that AMC customer service felt about this situation. Clearly AMC's commitment to cleaning and safety is nothing but lip service. If you want to take a shot with AMC, have at it, but do yourself a favor, and avoid this particular theater. read more

It may be redone but it's not that great. I don't know if it's growing pains or just mismanagement. A lot of times it seems like it's hard to find an "adult" if there is a problem or issues. I also find that the lines can be all over the place and there seems to be little order. Some of the theaters are good but the layouts aren't great. read more

After being closed for months, we wanted to check out the new theater. AMC totally dropped the ball. They're still holding onto the old theater concept of overpriced drinks, candy and colossal buckets of popcorn. They offer about 3 food items but it's all self serve. Lame especially in this age of Movie Tavern. The snack bar itself was minuscule. There must have been 20 people in line on a Sunday afternoon, and they still couldn't handle the crowd. Ran out of popcorn - had to pop more. And they made us wait for 10 minutes for pretzel bites - wtf. They take your order, then you go down to the other end of the counter to wait for your food. On top of that, the people waiting for food are in the way of customers who just got drinks and candy. Total traffic jam. The only improvement - the seats. The seats are reserved and they are really nice. The recliners are whisper quiet when they recline, and really comfy. AMC has been in the movie business since 1920, you would think they have learned something in that time, but I guess not. read more

Genuinely disgusting. The entire facility was filthy. Popcorn on the floors everywhere. The theatre wasn't cleaned between shows and there were cups and trash all over the place. People literally banded together to clean 5 minutes before the show. Every trash can was overflowing. These pictures are of the lobby I wish I had gotten them inside the theater. When the issue was raised the staff were rude and non responsive. Pointer that everyone needs id to order drinks (I'm 43 and couldn't get served). I understand the policy on that one. The food was also terrible. $9 of hamburger mac and cheese was 5-6 fork fulls that looked like dog food. What a shame the facility itself is very nice and the seats were as comfortable as I have ever seen... if only they weren't covered in trash and food. read more

This theater is a bit out of the way from the city of Philadelphia, but still very accessible - directly on route 309. I was at this theater once before prior to their major facelift, and I liked the old retro feel. But truth be told, it was time. Retro chic or not, it was falling apart. And I am here to say the new facelift is AWESOME. It's very clean and bright and modern. And as most major theater chains have been doing the last decade or so, it's got assigned seating and recliner seats, which has completely transformed the theater experience for me for the better. It is a smaller theater for an AMC, so beware of this if you don't purchase tickets in advance - don't show up on a Friday night blockbuster premiere and expect to have your pick of seats. The only issue I had was, for some reason, they left the lights on - dim, but still on - during the movie. I don't know if this was by design or if it was an isolated mistake. I honestly didn't even notice the lights were still on during the movie. But afterwards, I complained to the person I was with about how the movie was dark and a little hard to see. It was then pointed out to me that it wasn't the movie, it was the lights. So, while I didn't notice it in the moment, it had an impact on my ability to enjoy the show. However, I am not going to let that majorly impact my overall enjoyment of this theater and it's modern conveniences. Stay safe, and let's get back to the movies! read more

This used to be a pretty dinky mega theater. you know the sort, little leg room and lots of room to get lots of screens to show lots and lots of movies , pack 'em in. It was not pleasant. there was a vague sense that if they ever turned up the house lights you'd see stuff crawl out of the shadows. Then they gave it a major face lift. The number of theaters seems to have been reduced and the rooms have VERY nice seats with lots of leg room. It is very comfortable and one does not have the feeling you're a sardine jammed in to a room. Now the down side. You don't just buy tickets. You reserve a seat. This is a freaking movie. Show up and grab a seat. now I handed over a couple of bills and am told to pic seats from a screen? You've over complicated the most simple part of the whole thing. buy movie, find seat- ugh! They have also added a full service, sort of, bar. It looks like an airport bar but when you've arrived 20 minutes before 20 minutes of commercials start running you've got a nice place to wait. The prices are a little high. $8-9 for a beer. cocktails for $12-14 . But the cocktail I had was very nice BUT-when I'm paying that much for a drink i'd like it to be in a glass, not a plastic beaker that looks like it's waiting for Toby Keith to sing it's praises! The bar tender I had was very inattentive. I wanted to leave a tip but she never came back to see how things were going or did we want another, for me to break a bill. If she didn't care, then neither did I. The snack bar was where it always was but it is something of a trial. They have lots of options. LOTS. great. but on a Saturday night they had only two people working it and I was stuck in line as they explained to the people ahead of me options available for chicken fingers and how much of a wait there would be for each one. I'm not making that up. Neither am I making up the fact they charge $9+ for a freaking tub of popcorn. The seats are very comfortable and for watching the movie great but ANY other options, including just buying the ticket is stupidly mangled by poorly trained staff and stupidly high prices. read more

I'm 17 and went to see challengers with my friend for her birthday in which the staff said we needed a to be 18 to see the movie or an adult over 21 to come with us to watch the movie. And then we had no other choice but to watch something not R-Rated and then we're forced to go watch another movie and sit in the very front row of that one. I understand they have polices they need to follow but we're teenagers who wanted to go see one of the so called best movies of the year and were not permitted too. I'm very disappointed in the fact that we weren't allowed to watch the movie.Only gave it 2 stars cause the people at concessions were nice and polite unlike the rest of the staff. It's so nice to see the face lift at this AMC. I remember the before and now I know the after. I went during the afternoon on a weekday for $5 Ticket Tuesday and it was a pleasant experience. Unlike others have reviewed, it was clean and the reclining seats were comfortable and fully functional. I didn't visit neither the concession area nor bathroom so I cannot say the state of them. The only minor issues I did notice was the sounds you can hear from the adjacent movie theater showing; however I do have to consider I viewed a mostly quiet movie called A Quiet Place lol! Pretty good movie! The other issue was the air conditioning. It was too high so I was a little uncomfortable with the temperature. Everything else was copesetic. read more

This was our first experience to the newly remodeled AMC 309 and my girlfriend and I will not be coming back. There were so many people standing around doing nothing. Nobody even bothered to tear our ticket. Then we watched people in the concession area on their phone and sitting on the counters. No one was working the bar for the 10:30 pm show. It was dead. The bathroom was filthy. It was covered in piss and water. The floors were so wet they were slippery. Who decided to only have one small bathroom at the front of the lobby? Then there was the theater experience. There was stuff on my seat. We had to clean it before we could sit down. Then, I raised my foot rest only to discover a smashed box of nachos and cheese.... The movie was out of focus. The projection wasn't centered and that affected the picture quality. This place had a lot of money put into it, but the management and staff will sink it. We aren't going back, and we are telling you why. It's depressing watching people piss money away, but theater customers have options and more theaters are opening all the time. Had issues with yellow tickets purchased through my company. Apparently AMC is only accepting black tickets. Was told to wait at the counter by an employee for the manager to show up. Manager shows up after I stood there for 15 minutes and starts servicing a line further down. When I brought up that I was waiting for the manager I was told I would have to wait as I was not in line. I am then given a card to use to contact guest services as AMC is no longer honoring yellow tickets. Poor customer service, untrained staff, manager was not even wearing a name badge. read more

Wow... Purchased tickets to the Mule on line on the AMC 309 website for a 4:30 movie today. Got popcorn, soda, candy spent over $50.00 for our Friday night date. After waiting 30 minutes, they ended up have to cancel the movie because the equipment was not working. Had to stand in like to get my refund but they would no refund my service fee, only the ticket price and now I'm stuck with all this food I only eat at the movies. In addition, only one sink had soap in the ladies room and the counter a the snack area was a sticky mess. The reclining seats are comfortable but that's about all this place has to offer. When you work all week and look forward to a Friday night and get this... it really sucks and so do you AMC 309. Work on you customer service and cleaning crew. read more

This is a great theater. Plenty of parking and guest/member services. Visit the counter to your right to purchase tickets or use the kiosk to scan your WR code (for tickets purchased online) or manually enter your confirmation number. The area to your left is a cozy sitting area and bar. Order a beer, glass of wine or cocktail (ID required). Snack bar is always popping popcorn and make your own drink and load your popcorn with as much butter as you want. Each theater has a screen at the door so you clearly walk into the correct theater. The isles are huge and every seat reclines. Even pick your seat when you purchase your tickets. Awesome experience! read more

Sound and film quality is great. Concession guy worked hard. Restrooms are horrible! They stink, not cleaned at all and clearly there is no visible effort, charts and so on. It smelled like a subway tunnel. Self service soda fountains were not far off. Maintain these areas and the theater will become wonderful place! read more

We came here to see Avengers on opening weekend. The theater recently got renovated and all the chairs are full recline. This is an awesome feature. However downside is less seats and you have to book early to reserve a good spot. We were able to use AMC passes here without an additional upcharge. Overall nice remodel. Biggest negative as others have said is that staffing is low and lots of trash clutter that needed cleaning. read more

As I'm reading the reviews of my fellow Yelpers, I see a lot of low ratings and the common theme is the customer service, food options and pricing. Unfortunately, I can't speak to that because I didn't purchase any food or drink items the other night, but I can definitely speak to the overall appearance of the theater. Plus, I went to the last showing of the night, which was at 9:30pm on a weekday. When the movie was done, it was after midnight and the lobby was deserted. As you pull up to the theater, you automatically notice how bright and modern it appears. If you're familiar with this theater or even if you drove by before the upgrades, you know that it was extremely dated. The appearance is drastically better now. I purchased my tickets via Fandango. Unfortunately, this theater does not have the technology that will allow you to simply scan your purchased ticket. As you walk in, you have to go to a large monitor and simply enter your confirmation code. I went to a late movie, so I didn't have to deal with any lines. The theater itself is nice. The sound quality is great and the reclining seats are very comfortable. Although, they're not as wide as other theaters I've been to. I plan to see more movie here in the future and hopefully I won't any customer service issues as others have experienced. read more

The theater is new but prolly staffed. Bathrooms dirty and no soap or towel. Manager went home we were told and was the only one with keys to refill. The have no signage letting people know how to pick up tickets or that the one line/ kiosk with a person is only for cash sales. My review is based mostly on the location of this theater as well as the price. While it is certainly not my favorite theater, I have to say that I've never had a terrible experience. Visiting some other nearby theaters, I've noticed either screen brightness being off, volume being too low, lights not been turned down, the room being too hot or cold, etc. Nothing here is very new - the seating is old-school - no fancy stadium style seating. The theater isn't dirty but it is dated in its appearance. Ticket prices are cheaper here than most surrounding theaters. It's also conveniently located near some restaurants, both sit down and fast food. It's also located right across the street from a Trader Joe's which makes for a fun afternoon. The one thing that is sometimes frustrating is that with another AMC located in Plymouth meeting, they won't play the same movie so you often have to travel to one location or the other to see a movie. read more

I was excited to go here for girls night I heard they had beer and reclining seats! The place was very dirty! I thought it was a joke that our seats were so dirty with tissues that we couldn't even sit down! Every single person complained! It was soooo bad! On a Friday night at 10pm they closed the concession stand and you could not get any food or drinks. No beer available! They apologized for being short staffed and I felt bad for the people that were there trying to keep up but something needs to happen differently! The whole experience was actually funny it was like being in a dream I couldn't believe it was brand new and this was happening. The newly renovated theater is great. I love the reserved seating because my family has a knee brace and left side seating is most comfortable--- It's the little things able bodied people take for granted. The option of different flavored popcorn is also a plus. Short story--- I mistakenly dropped my phone in trash as I was throwing away my leftover popcorn container and didn't realize it until I was at the front door. I went back to the ticket taker, who walked me back in, used his phone flashlight and rang my phone so I could get my phone out the trash. He was so helpful and I'm sorry I forgot his name. He deserved a bonus for that one because he was so patient and didn't think twice about helping me-not so short ,sorry. read more

I had been going to the old AMC for years and saw a few months back that they were renovating which I was happy about because I was glad to see they were utilizing the space and continuing with the business rather than doing away with the business. With that being said as nice and clean and new as the new one is , I don't like the new model- that means ticket buying, seat picking, etc. and this is not exclusive to this location , it's many theaters now. The reason being, yes the seats are nice but they will need to be consistently cleaned to not get gross. There are cup holders built in the seat which will need to get thoroughly cleaned. Also the more relaxed people are and reclined there will be more messes, more things falling in the seats and I hope AMC is prepared to keep up with this. There was a lot of people here in comparison to any time I had gone to the theater before but each theater also holds significantly less people due to the large comfy seats. They are nice , they recline but I don't like picking them ahead. I don't like going to a kiosk. It really doesn't matter to if you pick your seat if people are going to sit in your seat, like these much older ladies. They claimed they didn't get the right seat and sat in the seat they originally wanted. So a lot of good picking the seat does. Now must of these issues, like I said, are with the new model and not with this location. This location is bright, new and clean and the staff was nice! No complaints here. I'll give it a few months to see how everything holds up. There is a bar and a very nice spacious sitting area adjacent to it. A whole group of ladies rolled out to the bar after the movie because it was national wine day which I thought was funny. There is ample parking as there was before. I'm excited to see where this theater will go with it's "new and shiny" interior/exterior and hope it brings in business and that it remains popular! read more

I'd like to give this place a good review HOWEVER the manager Justin (no one knew his last name) was just a pathetic display of customer service. He was ignorant - and soooo unhelpful. I demand more, period. As a luxury sale professional I work with customers all the time. They aren't always happy and they aren't always nice but I ALWAYS assist them completely. The level of care is that of a Walmart greater and they are kinder. Please people if you do not like working with people get off you power hungry ride with your manager title and work behind a computer where you can stop offending paying customers and ruining a business name. So sad when someone's disdain for their job bleeds out for all to see. Perhaps he just needs to find inspiration elsewhere. Sorry dude read more
