I actually had a great experience!!! Have not been to this movies in some years but it was a good experience. I did not get food but I did try the mcguffins bar. I like how it was by itself like a private area and it had nice seating. The service there was exceptional as well. The guy suggested getting a bottle of wine which was a better deal for two glasses a wine per person. The Kim Crawford was def on point. The stadium was Dolby, which was my fav especially to see Spider-man. Good movie and huge stadium. The only con I did have was that the escalator was down. It was so many stars to take. I'm in shape and was tired and hot when I made it to the entrance. Hopefully it will get fixed soon :) or by now. I will come back here soon no doubt!! Roll sound. Roll camera. Action! These three components in our movie experience are always on cue. Every movie we've seen here so far has been a great (or grand) experience. Summer blockbusters, big screen action, 3-D thrills, and comfortable seating makes this theater a preferred option for us. My butt is happy too, even during longer showtimes. *** ScreenX *** This is the newest edition to their theater lineup. The 270-degree immersive view with multi-projection system gives you a little more picture along the side walls. Personally, I'm a fan, but also the comfy, oversized, pleather seats make longer films more worth it. We saw "Minions & Monsters" here and got a little more of "Eyelene" plus Minion shenanigans as if we were inside the animated story. *** XL *** This theater gives you a bigger screen with crisp, 4K Laser Projection. Great for Marvel Universe flicks. Toy Story 5 was also fun since we felt like we were eye level with Woody, Buzz, and the entire Pixar crew. *** IMAX *** Got to see several IMAX 3D pics over the years. The ginormous curved screen gives you the illusion of a more panoramic experience without warping the visuals. I imagine we'll be see Christopher Nolan's epic tale, "The Odyssey", in this theater very soon. *** AMC Stubs Membership *** We have an AMC Stubs Membership and it helps us squeeze in more big screen action, rom-coms, thrillers, superhero flicks, and animation's finest all year long. The perks pay off when we apply our rewards to buy things like popcorn, drinks, and snacks. There's always an upgrade in popcorn - from normal to gigantic and we get free refills. The Fanta-Coke machine is prob my tastebuds' fave since I love experimenting with pineapple, peach, grape, fruit punch, cherry, and all the other soda options. The ICEE machine is always stocked with cherry + coke flavor, but I haven't been lucky enough to try the dragonfruit yet. Oh, and the Bavarian Pretzel is massive and can feed a small family in the snacks department. Cheese dipping sauce is good. *** McGuffins Bar *** Love that you can order a thematic, foufou cocktail from the theater bar and infuse a little from the movie you're watching. AMC Stubs Membership discounts didn't apply. *** Movie Geeks Love It *** I enjoy looking at the walls and seeing the various iconic filmmakers and actors on the murals. There's always a prop from a recent movie behind glass (like Knoxville's suit from "Jackass"). And in the ladies bathroom, I like to test my movie quote knowledge. It's not just the recent movies, but also classics that have crawled into my heart over the years. *** Parking *** Free parking garages are adjacent to this complex. Street parking can also be found. First, two tickets cost nearly $47, which sets a certain expectation for the experience. Even though the theater wasn't crowded, the concession stand didn't have hot dogs ready and told us it would take an additional 20 minutes to make them. We arrived early because we wanted to catch all the previews, but by the time our food was ready, the previews had already started. To make matters worse, the hot dog bun was cold and literally fell apart. When we finally got to our seats, there was trash left behind from the previous guests, and I had to run to the restroom to get paper towels and clean the seats myself. For the amount of money you're charging, this level of service is unacceptable, especially on a major opening weekend. Basic concessions should be ready for the first showings of the day, and theaters should be cleaned before guests are seated. The surrounding area is still great, and we ended up leaving after the movie to get good food elsewhere, but the poor service, dirty seats, and missing the previews really took away from what should have been an enjoyable experience. It's sad to see what this theater has become. After being a loyal customer for so many years, I don't see myself coming back. read more

Typically a regular AMC and movie goer and often find myself at this location with so many options. I haven't had much time for film outside the house with a crazy work schedule, but often enjoy films with friends, groups and/or my significant other. IMAX and Dolby are amazing here, but not that I believe all theater seating has been updated in quality these past years, you can't go wrong with any. We're gearing up for some of the summer blockbusters. Very much looking forward to Supergirl 2026, following the Woman of Tomorrow storyline, among others. Friday nights are the busiest here, we've learned that a few times and now usually do Sunday mornings or afternoons. Great deals on Tuesdays, and seeing things in the early half of the week are ideal with more parking and less traffic by car as well as on foot. Concessions is massive and well ran as well as kept up. Personable crew through and through making the AMC Burbank 16 not just a favorite, but one that does it's best. Some of the coolest displays and posters you'll see outside of AMC Citywalk Universal which has more costumes and set pieces displayed at times. Love the layout for the MacGuffins bar, but drinks are not reasonable and very mid. Great snack selection as well as merch. They're definitely making movies/movie going better! read more

My first impression of AMC Burbank is that it's big & bustling, which is a refreshing change from the ghost town movie theaters I frequent. From the street level, an escalator delivers you to the ticketing booth, & beyond that, long lines for concessions. When we asked for an empty container so we could share our large order of popcorn, we were given a small bucket already filled -- a thrilling & unexpected gesture of generosity. We caught a matinee showing of "Michael" at one of the theaters with an XL screen. The leather seats appeared new-ish but didn't recline. Best of all, no sticky floors! read more

My last review was about 9 years ago, so it only seems fair to give an updated review. According to Deadline, the AMC Burbank 16 was the highest grossing theater nationwide in 2025. I'd say that tracks - this AMC has huge auditoriums and a good selection of movies. You'll find your usual blockbusters, but they have a real healthy dose of indie/foreign films and special screenings, making it a guarantee that they have something for every taste. This AMC has IMAX, XL, Real-D 3D, Prime, and Dolby Cinema screens. Don't know what any of that jargon means? It means the screens are the bees knees with perfect image and sound - total immersion in the story unfolding before you. They have clean leather reclining seats, but a lot of the auditoriums still have the rocker seats (I don't have any real preference on either). As an avid humble moviegoer, I can say without a doubt that the AMC Burbank 16 remains one of my most frequented movie theaters. The movie selection and experience are hard to beat. Their matinees every day before 4PM are 15%-20% off, so if you're on a budget go early! Only downside is that the escalator/elevator seems to be on the fritz more often than not, so if you're old or disabled it might become a journey to enter/leave. read more

I visited this movie theater on a Saturday. Unfortunately escalator was not working and I had to get some steps in. lol I had to take the stairs which is fine, but it can be really tiring. For service, I can say most of the employees are nice and friendly, but the lady at the pick up counter was not friendly at all. She looked liked that she didn't want to be there. This theater has a variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks to order. Pop corn was really good and my bag was filled fully. You can either order online , at the kiosk or in person( line can be long, but moves fast). This theater was very clean and well maintained. Even restrooms were clean. Seats are very comfortable which makes it easy to fall asleep. Parking is easy. There is a free public parking in walking distance. read more

Came here for the silent hill movie and honestly one of the best experiences I've had. Everyone here is so welcoming and friendly. I was so surprised that they had a full bar and I was able to enjoy my drink during the show. The strawberry margarita was so good not too crazy sweet just perfect. Pretty decent size theater. This is a good spot to see first run and limited release films because sometimes they'll have Q&A's with the actors. I came to the screening and they had Q&A with the two main actors afterward in the front pretty comfortable seats although they're not reclining or heated like the ones at other AMC's. Some of the seats are kind of dirty on the back but as long as you don't look too close closely when the lights come on you'll be fine. There's ample parking in either of the lots one is near the theater the other it's a couple blocks away on First Street. read more

I visited this location for the first time late last month. I'm an avid movie goer, and have been to numerous theaters around the area. When I saw that this location had just gotten ScreenX, I knew that I had to try it. My partner and I went to go see Project Hail Mary in ScreenX and my goodness, the experience was truly astounding. I've been to 2 other theaters in LA that have a ScreenX and this location definitely shines the most. I know soon they're also going to be receiving 4DX, and I'm really looking forward to that. One thing that I really love about this location is their popcorn. I've also worked in a few movie theaters so i know the process of making Movie theater popcorn, and i will definitely say, this locations Popcorn is the BEST I'VE EVER HAD. I don't know what they put it in it, or maybe they use a specific type of oil to pop the popcorn, but whatever it is, it's working. I love popcorn & I usually go to AMC Citywalk as my home theater, its the closest to me, but their popcorn there isn't that great. So when I purchased popcorn here, my expectations were extremely low, but to my surprise, it was the best I've had. Overall, I love this location and may start frequenting this location more often just because of the upgrades It's receiving and mostly due to the popcorn. read more

We have been coming here since the day they opened. Location is great in Downtown Burbank. Lots of eateries around the movie theater. The theater is huge with lots of auditoriums. Not all theaters are the same. I am used to the AMC in Fullerton which is nice. This theater has a broken escaltor, long food lines and terrible seats. Pay close attention to the type of seats you have. Some have classic rockers which do not recline, they rock. Some are recliners. Those are the seats you want. In 2026 I assumed all seats were updated. All seats cost the same. I was disappointed that the theater had the rocker chairs verses the recliners. I didnt know regular chairs existed. In the future I will be sure to look at the seats to make sure they will be comfortable. The older theaters sure need an update. read more

I want to preface this by saying this review is about more than popcorn (delicious, by the way) or the sound quality of the room. It's about creating a space where accessibility needs are met and providing equal access to entertainment. Scrolling through multiple locations and searching for Open Caption showtimes was frustrating and tedious. Fortunately, while navigating the website, I was able to complete a form and request an Open Caption public screening for "Freakier Friday" at this theater and a preferred time slot. Three days later, I received an email from AMC saying that my showing was scheduled! Note: We didn't have ten people in our party, but noticed that quite a bit of people still purchased tickets for this public showing. I don't know what their needs are, but they all stayed and seemed to enjoy the movie nonetheless. Thank you, AMC, for being deaf-friendly and making the theater more accessible. My friends shared that they had frustrating experiences in the past, specifically with the personal captioning devices (I.e. not charged, incorrect/missing content, strain from looking at the device and screen, etc--this is not an occurrence with AMC in particular, but in general when using the device). We were so happy that we could experience this together rather than waiting for the film to hit streaming platforms. Thank you for providing the on-screen subtitles. It was an enjoyable and truly memorable day for us. Management: Please consider scheduling open caption screenings weekly/more regularly rather than waiting for formal requests. read more

4+ One of a few AMC theaters in the area. This particular location is the largest with most screens. The structure and size makes this feel like one of AMC's flagship locations. There's even a cool Batman statue out front. In terms of concessions, it's pretty standard, which is a good thing. If you don't want the food here, the location is blessed with lots of food options around it. Came here not too long ago (5/2025) and watched the live action Lilo & Stitch. The sound and comfort of the theater was great. Just a great theater and location although it's not the perfect overall experience. I'm a fan, but I personally would try to go when the area is not as busy. The parking and crowds can get pretty congested, but it's what's expected in dense high traffic areas like this. read more

Nice theatre, huge lobby! Went on a Saturday night and parking, and while free, was hard to find. Lots of free parking lots throughout Burbank which is convenient, but next time I'll arrive early. Haven't been going to movies lately but had a good time! Popcorn and a drink set us back $30 but I guess those are normal movie prices. Like I said it's been awhile, no biggie. The restrooms and the lobby areas were clean and the crowd wasn't too loud or rowdy! Overall a cool movie experience! There is the AMC 8 (I believe) that is smaller with better parking down the street but there aren't as many screens. I've been coming to AMC Burbank 16 for as long as I can remember. The oldest memory I have is of waiting in line for a viewing of Spiderman in 2002. Fast forward 23 years and although they made tons of upgrades to their theaters with the help of technology, they have yet to update the women's bathroom. It is rough in there. I can't speak on the men's bathroom but the stalls in the women's bathroom are falling apart. Some of the toilets are leaking and some doors don't even lock. I will keep coming here for the nostalgic vibes and the convenient downtown Burbank area. But at $20+ a ticket they could aim to invest a little into updating the bathroom for their customers! read more

I've been to this theater many times in my decade + living in the valley and want to emphasize that my experience here is never bad per se but usually ranges from just ok to decent. Nothing bad just nothing overtly incredible or memorable. Recently after a very emotionally & physically draining week, I decided to treat myself to a movie. I want to shout out a young man at the concession counter I believe was named Mitchell. He could have done the simple transaction and sent me on my way because there was certainly a line behind me. But coming from a 25+ year stint managing in the service industry, I recognize when someone isn't just giving good guest service but having a genuine interaction and human connection. I hope this guy is appreciated for taking the extra step and energy at work during peak hours to make someone feel seen and valued. read more

Absolutely love this theater. I used to live in Sherman Oaks when I started frequenting this theater, and even now, living in Palmdale, I skip past Porter Ranch and Northridge for the Burbank 16 experience. This theater is typically very packed and for good reason. So many good eateries around, theater is always clean, and most importantly, respectful audiences! As an A-list, I find myself at the movies at least 2x a week and always in premium formats. I do wish they had IMAX 70MM but something tells me thats coming soon. The ONLY challenge here is parking. I do wish the attached parking lot had additional spaces for AMC but you can also always park at the nearby lots and there are plenty. Just plan to come early on big release weekends. read more

Been here many, many times including before/after renovations. It's okay. Most of the time it's pretty crowded - out of the main 3 in the area, I think it's the largest and the only with an IMAX screen. Having said that, the line for food, bathroom, etc. are long and it's not the cleanest overall. Recently went for the 50th anniversary of Jaws (IMAX) and took advantage of the bar for the first time. I love that you can take your drinks into the movies, it does make a difference lol. Additionally in the past, they've done special things for first screenings of new Star Wars movies, etc. Parking is available at so many lots all over San Fernando Rd. Plenty of food options for before/after walking distance. Right beside the Burbank mall. read more

First of all their air conditioner has been broken for the last two weeks that's unacceptable. It's honestly hell coming to this theater. Secondly, the manager can't seem to get it through his head to schedule more people for concession to make the lines move faster. I honestly can't say enough bad things about this movie theater I'm I've been coming here for years and now I'm switching to another theater because at bare minimum they can't even accommodate their guest with air-conditioning. Surprised I've never reviewed this particular AMC considering I've been a few times and never minded coming here. Coming on a Saturday afternoon would not be my ideal time to see a movie, but it was for a screening so I didn't have a choice. Parking is plentiful around the corner, and I believe it's free for 3 hours. You can take an elevator to the top, or as I did, walked out the entry/exit to the street, walked past Barney's Beanery, and took the stairs, plenty of them, up to the AMC level. This is obviously a huge space, and #7 was a short walk down the way. #7 was also a large theater, with entrances on both sides. Concession area was kept up well, and the employees were friendly. I always get the pretzel bites, lightly salted. Girl came up to confirm this, and even presented them later, asking if it was enough salt. Never had an employee follow up, so this was really nice of her (wish I had her name, it was around 2:45p on Saturday, October 12th)! As for the movie experience, screen/sound was fine, usually guests for screenings are more considerate where they aren't on their phones but that isn't really the problem of AMC. When leaving, it was getting busier for the Saturday evening rush, so I'm glad I got out when I did. Even though I don't come to the valley area often, this theater makes it worth the trip. read more

I used to go to the AMC Burbank 16 every week but that theater is run really really poorly, half the time that movie I want to see the projector is not working right or at all, sometimes I hear the movie but not see it sometimes the projector is working fine but the sound isn't working, and the worst thing is sometimes you'll be watching an anticipated movie and for some reason the movie jumps to the end and spoils the surprise. And it happens over and over again so it's not an isolated incident. I tried talking to management about it but they're useless. So if you want your movie experience ruined, come here if you don't go literally anywhere else. read more

This is the first time I have ever been inside an AMC, and it was actually not too shabby! The atmosphere of the entire location is pretty coolio if I say so myself, the theaters are cold and loud and pretty spacious! The line for food and snacks were pretty long, and kind of slow.. sorry AMC 16. The seats were semi comfortable, it is pretty easy to accidently kick the seat in front of you, so try not to swing your foot out too much! Overall, a great experience in my opinion and I'm glad this AMC made my first trip at AMC a solid and amazing trip! read more

I always come to this theatre because my family and I enjoy the atmosphere but we came here on Sunday and the employee we placed our food order with (his name tag said Edwin) was super rude. My family is bilingual and we accidentally tried ordering in Spanish at first to which this worker responded "what?!?" while rolling his eyes. We just brushed it off and ordered in English while the whole time he was rolling his eyes at us. It felt like we were being targeted for being hispanic as he wasn't as harsh with other customers. The way he treated us was honestly super hurtful and put us off returning to this location. read more

The theater itself is fine, but the manager, Michelle, was completely unwilling to be accommodating. They clearly have vouchers for situations like unused tickets, yet she refused to issue passes for tickets I bought the previous day--even though I wasn't asking for a refund at all. When I asked to speak with a higher manager, she told me she was the highest authority. I ended up going to another nearby AMC, where the staff handled the situation politely and immediately issued passes for my unused tickets--no issue at all. You can usually tell when someone simply doesn't care about being kind or customer-focused. That was very clear here. Customer service like that reflects poorly on the theater. read more
