We watched Michael at Look Dine-In Cinemas Glendale for opening weekend and had a great time. There were about 30 of us that bought tickets to a Sundat matinee showing in Screen 1. We were there to support someone that worked on the film and Look was the perfect place for our group. We had seen another film as a group at Look a few years back but this one was on the other side of their property. The service was great, the picture quality was good, the sound was good not great and the reclining seats were comfortable. We enjoyed our time there supporting our friend. The movie going experience was a good one so we really dont have complaints. We would go back again. Not the most modern of movie theaters but it suited us just fine. Parking is validated for the structure across the street. Otherwise, there is some metered street parking and other pay lots a short walk away. Go see Michael the movie. Great job crew! read more

Not any better than the old Monrovia LOOK. Same company, same problems. Sometimes the wrong food served, other times cold food served, weird gloopy hard cheese, etc. Most auditorium seats are in disrepair, seat numbers missing, crumbs everywhere, literal duct tape on some of the seats to hold them together. 50/50 whether your seat will recline or not. Some auditoriums are actually HOT - maybe they can't turn on the air conditioning? Screens are also sort of dim and dull, just like I expect from LOOK. I'm not sad that the Monrovia location closed down and this is the only LOOK I can come to. I'm sad that I have this annual subscription at all. I am trying to get my money's worth. read more

What happened to this place. We get there. Print out our tickets. We are told that the theater is being cleaned. To wait. Grab a drink at the bar, was there for 15 minutes. Drink felt watered down. I don't like them strong. But I want a tasty drink. Ok I let that pass. We go back in. Finally allowed in. The theater was so dirty. It was gross. Did they not tell us they were cleaning it? We ordered some snacks and drinks . Watered down again. Doesn't have to be strong. But let me taste my drink. Can't mess up red vines thank goodness. Popcorn was ok. We have been here a few times. Came here for the first time on a weekday date night and had a really solid experience. The theater itself is clean, comfortable, and well set up the seating makes it easy to relax and actually enjoy the movie without feeling cramped. Service stood out. There was a small mix up with our order, but the staff handled it quickly and professionally fixed without any hassle, which says a lot. Food was excellent, especially for a dine-in theater. Everything came out fresh and well-timed with the movie, which made the whole experience feel seamless. The theater is pretty spacious. the seats are definitely on the older side and a bit worn down. Not the most modern feel, but they still get the job done at least the ones we had reclined perfectly, so no complaints there. On the bright side, the movie experience itself was solid. The image quality was great and the sound was really good!! We ordered chicken nachos, chicken tenders with fries, sweet potato fries, and two drinks, and the total came out to $78. So just a heads up--bring some money if you're planning to snack while watching your movie lol Overall, the staff was friendly and the experience was enjoyable despite the older seating. read more

I LOVE this place because every year in December they offer their unlimited movie pass for $99. The fiancé and I love getting it because it's good at all 3 locations near us (Monrovia, Glendale, Downey). There are plenty of theaters and they have a good selection of movies, plus they have mystery movies which might get you to see something you wouldn't have initially picked. You can also order food/drinks and they have a few combo deals that are reasonably priced. That said, not all theaters and seats are made equal. Most of their recliners are super beat up and hardly have any of the leather still on them. It's all been chipped off. But they recline and in the dark I try and forget what the place looks like with the lights on lol. But seriously, all 3 locations need some serious chair upgrades and/or restoration. Bathrooms are also a hit or miss. They tend to be pretty gnarly so I try and avoid them. read more

The only good experience was when we first got there and sat at Millegra's bar. After that, we used the restrooms. There were homeless people squatting in both bathrooms. Trash was everywhere, lights were flickering like a scary movie, two urinals were covered with garbage bags. When we got into the theatre, it's very hot. Air was just...stagnant, without airflow. When the flick came on, the audio and video equipment felt like it's slipping behind the average "premium formats" we're used to. Sad that they closed the one in Monrovia, bummer to have to travel 30 mins longer for a movie to use up my pass that I bought. Parking across from the movie theater even with validation had to pay, movie wasn't too long, and we didn't go anywhere but from the theater to our car. They have two sides of the theater so make sure you check your ticket. Then you have to scan your ticket and give them a print out. Movie theater is more up to date than Monrovia but the bottom of the theater didn't have lights on so it was fun to travel through the dark lol read more

This theater is conveniently located in Burbank off of Brand Avenue. 90 minutes of free parking across the street. Our theater was located downstairs which was dark. It had recliner seats which was nice. The have a full menu of drinks, cocktails, shakes, popcorn but entrees which includes a smashburger and fries! It was nice to order on the phone and have it delivered to your seat except when customers are seated to the right of you! Twice servers walked in front of me to deliver drinks then food. Interrupted the movie twice! :( The bathroom was a mess! Dirty and stinky! The whole theater is dark so you cannot see how dirty it is! read more

We used to love this place - convenient parking, recliner chairs and nice food and drinks with friendly service. Now, this place needs a serious refurbishment. Our faux leather seats were run down to the bare thread. Even if you are willing to ignore this, the food is getting worse every time we go and I was willing to forgive and allow them to recover from Covid. Sound & image quality was nice - and other than others we did not experience any technical issues (but broken bathrooms and flickering lights outside the cinemas itself). Yesterday we went with four, ordered four quesadillas - got two pizzas - and there were only eight people in the entire cinema and only us in our row. The water tasted as if it was taken from a pool, my friend's Long Island Ice Tea was horrible - the worst I ever tasted. I do not think we will go again. Should we do, we will certainly no longer order food or drinks. I am so sorry, but reading the other reviews, I see the end coming. I would for sure not dare to invest in their $99 watch-all-movies-for-a-year-offer anymore. I doubt they will survive the year. A shame really. read more

I've been coming to this movie theater for years and always enjoy the experience but this review is specifically about the restaurant. Tonight, I decided to skip ordering from my seat and instead went directly to the restaurant, thinking it would be quicker. Big mistake. I placed my order with a red-haired woman with a neck tattoo: a pizza, a quesadilla, two fountain drinks, & last minute a kids' chicken tenders meal. The total came out to $68, which didn't make sense. Upon reviewing the receipt, I noticed she charged me full price instead of a kids' meal. If adults aren't allowed to order kids meals, that's fine, just say that. Instead of offering a refund or adjusting the order, she gave me alternative kids meal options to choose from... still at full price. That's not what I asked for. On top of that, her attitude was cold and dismissive. As someone who works in the service industry, I was shocked at the lack of customer service and emotional intelligence. It felt like she just didn't care. Also my friend and I ordered two regular fountain drinks, yet somehow we were handed two kid-sized cups? Make it make sense. I didn't want to escalate the situation, especially since she was clearly avoiding me when I tried to get her attention. Another employee saw me standing there and didn't even bother to ask if I needed help. Spend your money elsewhere! I spent almost $200 here and they still made me pay $3 for a cup of TAP WATER. Seems like something small, but it's the principal. If your prices are already high and your customers already are spending a lot of money on tickets and food, at least provide tap water when requested for free. Nickel and diming is not a way to get repeat customers. Also, you can't order food from your seats; there's no button and servers don't come to take your order. You have to get there early so you can order from the kiosk outside of the movie theater and the kiosk is not user friendly and doesn't work right sometimes. Ok- rant over! read more

It was our first time at this location and wasn't sure where to park because GPS took us to the back side. We finally figured it out and parked at the structure. The theater does validate parking, but we still had to pay $1. There are two separate buildings, kind of strange. We walked through the bar since it eas the first one we saw. We thought the actual theater was located there, but we had to exit that building and go next door. As soon as you enter they scan your tickets and give you the menus. You have to go down the stairs/elevator to get to the specified theater #. We chose the middle seats of the last row. Once I saw those seats I didn't really want to sit there anymore. They look old, have significant wear and tear, and the leather is all scratched up. It made me feel like there's no maintenance/cleaning to keep the theater in good shape. Not all the seats are like that, it's mostly the middle ones. But it would be nice if they fixed up the seats. Definitely would look better and make it look clean. As for food, we ordered the lemon pepper wings. They were nice and crispy....but ridiculously salty. It comes with 6 pieces and fries. We chose the crinkle cut fries and they were also super crispy. At least those weren't as salty. This location wouldn't be my first option, but if I'm ever in the area maybe I'll stop by. read more

This was my first time at a LOOK location, and I watched Last Breath in PX (Premium Experience). The massive screen made for an immersive viewing experience--while I'm not sure if it's as big as IMAX, it definitely felt engaging. The image was crisp, and the sound quality was sharp. The luxury reclining chairs come with heating, cooling for beverages, and a built-in light. The food was decent, and I recommend ordering with a server to avoid the app's convenience fee. I've been here quite a bit since I leave walking distance, but today was by far the WORST experience I've ever had going to the movies. My movie is at 10:10pm, it is currently 10:15pm and the theatre is filthy, not cleaned yet. I arrived at 9:30pm, checked in and found the theatre dirty so I asked for a manager and was told that someone would clean it within 15minutes..here we are, a group of us standing outside waiting in the halls. The food itself was brought out on time, but our soft drinks arrived more than halfway into the movie, which defeats the purpose of a dine-in theater experience. The seats are also getting noticeably worse, and the restrooms that are currently open are dirty and poorly maintained. While you now have digital kiosks, the overall service and customer experience have not improved at all. On top of that, an automatic 18% surcharge has been added to all food orders, which feels unjustified given the decline in service and facility conditions. Please address these issues. This was my first time visiting this theater, and unfortunately, I wouldn't come back. When we arrived, we entered through what I later learned was the second building through the bar, which was extremely confusing for first-timers. We really needed help and finally came across an employee, but he was not helpful at all. I explained that it was our first visit and that we didn't know where to go. He simply told us to go to the box office and walked straight out the door. The frustrating part is that about two minutes later, we realized the box office was across the way, and that's exactly where the employee went. A simple "follow me" or clear directions to the main entrance would've made a big difference. Once we finally got to our seats, we only ordered dessert since we had already eaten. Thankfully we didn't order more, because we weren't provided napkins with messy churros. There's also a service button at the seats, but no one ever came when we pressed it. I'm not sure what their service protocol is, but it didn't make sense, especially since all we needed was a napkin, and it wasn't late enough for service to be cut off. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. I'll be sticking to my usual go-to, IPIC, where the service and food are consistently 10/10. My rating for this place is an F. read more

Where to begin? So the seats are good in the sense that they're big and they recline (they recline for the legs and also the headrest), but they were all torn up. It was really unacceptable that every single chair was so torn up that I felt uncomfortable to sit down (almost turned around and walked out of the theater before the movie even started). We had good service, everyone was nice, but when we had the service button on, only our server would come (even though a couple other servers passed by us, they just ignored it). We ordered three entrées, one beer, and candy. We got our 3 entrees within 20 minutes which was great, but after another 20 minutes we had to ask where the beer was, and after another 20 minutes after that, we had to ask where the candy was. You can order through the app, which apparently has additional fees and automatic 20% gratuity, or you can order through a server and pay whatever gratuity you see fit. The fact that we prepaid for everything with our server, it was a bit disappointing she forgot a couple of our items. They have a big menu, but it's just all so unhealthy. I got the only decently healthy option which was basically a burrito bowl. Was it edible? Yes. Was it great? No. I only ate half of it. I could get one 10x better at chipotle for half the price, or make one at home 10x better (no exaggeration). It had cilantro lime rice that tasted like it was made two days ago, and the meat was very dry and not great quality. The cheeseburger quesadilla was so heavy and then meat in that it was just I don't even know how many days these ingredients I've been sitting there kind of thing you know. Surprisingly the nachos were very good. Fortunately the movie was wonderful, but safe to say this was the first and the last time coming here. iPic is 10x better and so is my living room. read more

So I went back to the very nice venue because... a Good Reviewer should always visit an establishment 3X. Order different items and attend at different times. So friends, here is my 3rd review of the LOOK DINE-In Cinemas in Glendale, Ca. It's a very Heavy Task to attend a theater full of people All Ordering at the same time and All Feeling like they are special. A Venue Keeper is supposed to make Everyone feel special if they'd like renewed patronage. The LOOK DINE-In Cinemas work very Hard at making everyone feel Special. I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it and these folks made me feel amazing tonight watching F1. There were so many attendants moving about to attend to everyone and they did it very well. I ordered the Bacon Smash Burger with Truffle Fries. Delicious!!! No Joking. Really Good Burger. I watched Mission Impossible here, the 007s, here. Not sure if ownership has changed but these folks running this place make it worth a visit. Park across from the theater and it's $1 with Validation. Smelled like a backed up sewer when we arrived, not an auspicious start. I ordered food & so did my date. His came, but mine didn't like an hour into the movie (ordered before it started). Spent 15 minutes trying to figure out how to call someone & ask about it. No call button. No way to report an issue in their app. We were disturbing nearby people & had already missed a bunch of the movie trying to sort it out, so we left to try to find help. Had to go all the way upstairs to find anyone working. Asked for a refund for the food (got that, to their credit) and the movie which we had now missed a lot of. They said they couldn't refund the movie since we bought tix on Fandago. Offered us a free pass for future use, as if we'll ever go there again. We left & won't return. read more

I used to love this place. In a post-Arclight LA, with AMC being the Nicole Kidman-riddled hellhole that it is, Look was a beacon of light. Sadly, I went to see 2 films, six months apart, in theater 3, and the left screen speaker was blown out both times. What makes this worse is that I informed them of this the first time I heard it, as I mix films for a living and have heard my work in this room, and they assured me they would look into it. When I went back into that theater six months later to hear the exact same, very obvious problem, imagine my disappointment. They don't seem to care about the viewing experience. Oh well. read more

Oof. First time here and probably my last. The projector stopped at 3 pretty key moments and no one came to address it or apologize. After the second time we went to tell someone and they asked "has it started back up" and when we said yes, they said "ok good" and just moved along. Other issues like a non refillable soda for $7.50 and "truffle" popcorn that's literally a ramekin of salt sitting on top of your popcorn for the bargain price of an additional $1.50 is a joke no one found funny - several people around us all sent theirs back, both because of how ridiculous that is and for stale popcorn. This feels like someone wanted a budget Alamo or iPic, but both of those theaters have budget options that they're doing 1000 times better than this place, but knowing Glendale, and people who hate leaving Glendale, this sad excuse for a dine in theater might work, but probably not if it stays over priced and poorly run. read more

I've been to this location back when it was two other theaters (yes, it's had more rebrands than a washed-up pop star), and every time, someone new thinks they can finally make it work. Spoiler: they can't. Enter Look Dine-In Cinemas, the latest contestant on "Let's Pretend This Is a Functioning Theater." Let's start with the good, because it'll be short: the seats are comfy. Technically. But also torn, so it's like sitting in a Lazy Boy that lost custody of its dignity in the divorce. The little table and the heating/cooling drink holder are nice in theory--if they weren't surrounded by broken lamps and the eerie sense that no one has done maintenance since opening day. I ordered the churro doughnut, which looked decent online. What I got? An undercooked, sad, greasy lump of dough that tasted like it was fried in motor oil left over from a '93 Corolla. Felt sick for over an hour from one bite. One. Bite. My Dasani water also showed up 60% smaller than advertised, for $5. Because why not rob me while I'm already emotionally drained? The parking structure is big and validated--great if you enjoy walking back to your car with existential regret and churro-related nausea. In short: concept, cool. Execution, embarrassing. This place feels Mickey-Moused together with duct tape and denial. Glendale deserves better. Or maybe... just let it die. read more

We had a fine experience but I don't think I'm in a hurry to come back! The biggest pro of this place to me is that the tickets are typically cheaper than the AMC at the Americana. We arrived towards the end of the trailers and used the button on our chairs to call over a server to order food. My partner got a beer and I ordered the coconut chicken with sweet potato fries. The total was ~$27. The beer and food came quickly! The fries were nicely cooked but not warm, and unfortunately the coconut chicken was very tough and oily (but the flavor was ok). After the movie my partner used the restroom and told me there was a tray of silverware on the bathroom counter- as if someone working was cleaning them but had to use the restroom first. To me this is super gross and makes me question the hygiene practices of the staff :/ read more

I ordered the popcorn and it didn't arrive at all. i had to get up and miss a chunk of the movie to try and find a worker and ask about my order. I wasn't impressed by Look. I miss ArcLight and the Cinerama Dome so much, and Look was a dismal reminder of what we've lost with those closures. The screen and sound were fine. The cinema and lobby/hallway areas were dirty and obviously well-used. We ordered drinks - no food - and they took forever to be delivered to us in our seats. We were there for a noon show; the cinema wasn't crowded. Maybe the bartenders weren't in yet. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here. Regal and even AMC deliver a more pleasant experience (and Alamo Drafthouse is A-one for dinner-and-a-movie if that's what you want). read more

So, I initially reviewed the Look Dine In Cinema in Glendale right after purchasing the Thanksgiving special for the Infinity Club. It was true that the upholstery on some of the chairs had seen better days. And I, who was more familiar with movie theaters in pre digital days, found the first couple of screenings a bit dim and lacking detail. But, the more screenings I've attended, the more I realize that much of the blame is in the companies providing the source material. Most of the screens are actually fine, although there is a variety of screen sizes and auditorium capacity. The multiple channel sound is invariably excellent. The staff is also excellent, very helpful and professional. It's also nice that there are documentary and foreign language screenings, some with Q & A's with the filmmakers. As for the dining options, the wait staff is is also polite and unobtrusive. I prefer not to eat or drink while watching a film. The staff respects that, simply leaving a napkin, and telling me to press a button if I care to order. I was dismayed to learn that the Look Cinemas were obliged to close their Downey and Monrovia locations virtually overnight. But, I discovered that the responsibility was in the hands of the Landlord, who wanted to raise the rent on the three other California complexes. But, meanwhile, it seems the people behind Look are pusuing other recently shuttered cinemas to grow their company. They've also just opened a new Latin restaurant called Mirabella next door. It's gotten favorable early reviews. In conclusion, I'm very pleased with the Glendale Look Dine In cinemas, and will certainly resubscribe in late November when my first year is up. read more

I get the low stars now! I was going to the movies and wanted a different experience so I chose this place. I looked at the menu beforehand, truffle fries! Sign me up. Also I swear the menu I saw said $9. Someone else said it's deserted, it is! Some guys came out of the garage the same time as me and I followed them to where a girl was that scanned my ticket, otherwise I wouldn't have known where to go or what to do, there's no directions or signs and theaters are split between buildings. It looks lovely, it's just deserted. Movie experience in and of itself was 5. Comfortable seats and I like the cooling and warming options for drinks. Why 1 stars? I could've gone anywhere for just a movie experience, reclining loungers aren't uncommon anymore. I wanted to enjoy the food experience as well. The food - so I see my truffle fries, $14! I still swear I read $9 upon original menu review. The menu can be kinda confusing and it's a pain on iPhone w the code and anytime you shut your screen down, having to turn on the flashlight and rescan. I'm sure I annoyed someone w that bc I annoyed myself and it took me out of the experience some. So I start looking at other options and think about just adding truffle fries on for $2.99 and getting an entree or app plus the fries. It would've been $20-$21 for the things I was looking at. Ultimately I just did the fries. First they have you enter your card, if you've never been before and I hadn't. Ok fine. Then I thought I placed the order but it was confusing bc after entering my card it gave me the option to Apple Pay or use my card. Again, taking me out of my experience w the movie. Finally I figured it out. Auto tip. I guess? Takes a bit to get my fries and they're cold! Like from the moment he sat them down, also he gave NO napkins! I had to scan the code again, turn the light on, to get help. It took a while! I noticed a button on the seat, hit that too, easily 10-15 mins! They weren't that busy in my movie anyway. Finally dude comes (different guy), he asks me if they were cold like I'd do all this just because! He then goes, "oh, I think we're out of fries, I can offer a refund." Fine, do that. He takes my tray and leaves a napkin, ok. Annoyed but still trying to enjoy the movie, then he comes over again later to confirm that the refund was done, I wasn't given any paper or receipt confirming. Just taking his word. All these things and turning on the flashlight to rescan super took me out of the experience and enjoying my movie. To add insult I went to the bathroom on my way out and a toilet was GROSS! Nice last memory to have on my way out of a lackluster experience. Parkings a $1 for 4 hours tho. If you JUST want to watch a movie you'll be fine. If you want food, good luck. read more

How can you improve? 1- fix the seats. They are disgusting. The fake leather has peeled off 90 percent of them. Spring for real leather. In the end, it will cost you less. 2- the service is way too slow. 3- the blue lights for cooling down drinks or whatever are good in theory but they don't work and they flash blue and completely took me out of the movie because the entire row was blinking neon blue. 4- both gender bathrooms were a disaster. The woman's bathroom sounded like Niagara Falls and was a big puddle. The men's bathroom I didn't go inside but walked by and looked like the shining with pitch black and flickering lights. read more
