The Eight is still pretty great. Easy theater located at the tippy top floor of Burbank's Town Center. AMC Burbank Town Center 8, is an eight theatre cinema with a Concessions Stand and MacGuffins Bar. Easy access to restrooms that are very clean and ADA accessible. They also happen to be along the access points for Screens 5 through 8. Screens 1 - 4 are to the right of the entrance, opposite the Bar and Stand, they have a small staircase with a lift to the left for wheelchairs, strollers, and those who may need or desire to use it. Nice reclining seats, good AC and friendly AMC staff. While the 6 is more indie and the 16 massive, the 8 is the perfect blend. Easy parking at the Town Center in any direction though near Macy's and the AMC 6 is actually the easiest. No Dolby, Prime or IMAX, but you can catch Real 3D flix and the classic Laser experience, usually with more of a mellow crowd even for bigger films. Since as long as I can remember AMC has a no outside food and beverage policy like most major movie theaters, at time they may look the other way, but highly recommend enjoy a meal before or after in Downtown Burbank, at the food court or grabbing some snacks at World Market on the first level. Not a big concessions person but I do enjoy the Impossible Nuggets from time to time or a small candy with a beverages. A List has free beverage upgrades for drinks and popcorn. It's much more intimate than most AMC locations (the 6 is even more intimate). Never had an issue here, though sometimes in the summer the AC has had an issue or two, but typically under control. Enjoyed Sentimental Value here recently, Flow (2024), Barbie (for my third rewatch), lots of Oscar noms, Indie Flicks, Horror and a ride variety on solo outings (self date nights), date nights with bae and with the film lovers crew. Hoping to see a few more things here soon. read more

I came here on my birthday with my husband. We had two full cups of hot tea from Porto's Bakery because this theater doesn't offer hot tea, and I'm 9 months pregnant. I don't want to end up with a sore throat from cold drinks, so I needed something hot. From the moment we walked in, an employee told us we had to finish our full cups of tea before going inside. We asked to speak with a manager, and when he arrived, he immediately started yelling at me and my husband, saying we had to either finish the drinks immediately or throw them away. He even blocked our way to the concession stand and physically prevented us from ordering popcorn while we finished our tea. This was completely ridiculous because we were not trying to enter the theater with the drinks. We simply wanted to save time by ordering popcorn while finishing our tea. After yelling at a pregnant woman on her birthday and her husband, we were ultimately forced to throw away two full cups of hot tea because our movie was about to start and we had not even had a chance to drink them. The entire situation was unnecessary. It created a lot of stress, ruined the mood of my birthday, and could have been handled with basic courtesy and common sense. There was absolutely no reason to be so aggressive or refuse to give us a few minutes to finish our drinks. read more

Of the AMC '30' in Burbank, this is my tertiary location, however, they tend to carry more independent films, and the one-offs that you can't find at the other locations; also those that have a soft rollout before going wide. So while having smaller theatre's and screens, and less crowded, this location stands out in other ways that make it a worthwhile addition. The staff is always pleasant and efficient and the theaters are always clean when going to see your movie. read more

I saw Is God Is at this theater it was my first it located in the mall and is one of the smallest of the AMC theaters! The theater I was in was so small maybe like 20-25 seats! I had never seen or been in a theater that small. It was very intimate so I found that to be a positive! Service was fast and efficient! read more

It is easier to park here by Macys then just hop, skip and jump your way into the third level of the mall. The theater does not have a huge selection of movies and it is smaller. It still is worth a visit. Shorter lines for sure. We had their reclining seats that go all the way back and arms that go up. These are the better seats giving you the opportunity to be up and in your partners space. They are not heated though. If you are looking for a small theater with easy access in and out without the extras this is it. read more

To the wonderful staff that was working there on 4/3 around 3pm thank you! From the person checking tickets to the concession stand staff, and the porters. Everyone was nice and amicable and professional. We rented a theater, highly recommend. The experience was great. Ordered 10 kids pack in advance they were al ready and set to go. Last night, I visited there to see the desert warrior, which was very fulfilling. I always take a shower with me when I go to the movies because I think it may be cold in there. As I have often done, I left my shawl in the seat and was almost to my car when a woman called a young woman called, "Miss Miss is this your is this your scarf?" Lo and behold someone was returning my scarf. I have lost about 20 scarves in the past 10 years and one was wool and very expensive. Never before as anyone return a scarf to me I felt like life was changing for me. Perhaps I'll have better luck in the future from now on! Thank you so much to the young lady who returned it to me. She worked at the theater and was cleaning up and found my scarf. I shall always cherish this kind gesture. read more

This theatre definitely feels like the long forgotten &/or ugly stepchild of the 'AMC Burbank 30' as I call all 3 of the theaters in this area. The screen & sound quality is just as good as the other 2 theaters, but the seats all feel out dated and because the seating isn't stadium, it feel like the theaters I grew up in in the 80s & 90s where you could still have a tall person partially block the view of the screen for you. I doubt that'll happen since the rows of seats are spread out a bit, but it definitely gives off that 'old school' vibe. The staff is friendly and they do keep the theaters clean. But, it's still a theater I try to avoid. I'd rather go to the AMC 6 or the AMC 16 which are both within walking distance. This theatre is definitely an 'only if necessary' theatre in my eyes. Will you have a bad experience? Probably not. But there are definitely better experiences literally right next door. read more

Of the three AMC's comprising Burbank's AMC 30, this one feels like the coziest, easiest way to catch a flick. Inside the mall (which means easier parking in the attached garage), and with smaller rooms on average, I end up seeing a lot of movies at this theater, and sometimes get to see the more "indie" pics, since the room size accommodates them better. There are usually seats available in almost any showing and the employees are helpful too. A couple drawbacks...first, not sure if this is more AMCs than this one, but the bathroom faucets shoot out water set at the temperature of the sun. I hope they get that fixed someday. Second, they don't have a great system for getting people out of here late at night. I would love to leave out the front when it's a late showing, but they usually have you walk quite a ways to leave a particular exit, which is a bit frustrating if it's been a long day. Anyway, overall a great spot to catch a weekend movie either way :) read more

This is a great no frills AMC theater located on the third level of the Burbank mall. It's a typical "suburban" AMC that's on the smaller side and doesn't have all of the premium formats that the bigger ones do. The seats are nice and comfy and spacious and recline. The staff does a great job of cleaning here and I've never encountered a sticky seat (just maybe a few popcorn kernels that got stuck between the seat. This is a great place to watch indie films as they screen some more smaller films that don't get a wide release. The staff here is always friendly. I've never purchased food or beverages here but they do have a small bar here. Parking is super easy in the mall's parking lot. read more

This is the smallest of the AMC theaters in Burbank. This theater takes cash but they never have change. Every time I try to pay cash at the concession stand, the worker says they don't have change, like literally not even five bucks. You would think they would have at least something. It's not like I'm buying $5 worth of stuff and trying to have them break a $100. If the total is $27, I'll give $30 but they still can't do it. It's not a onetime thing, either. Second thing I hate is how small the theaters are . They only have about five rows, so even if you sit in the back , you still feel too close to the screen. Icee machines have been out the last two times. The theater does have reclining seats and is kept clean for the most part. Location- Second floor of the mall Parking- Mall parking. Easy to find a spot I'll still come here as a last resort but I recommend the AMC 6 or the 16 to catch a movie read more

My wife and I are AMC A Listers! And we love going to the show a minimum of 3 times a week. We also take advantage of the other perks like upgrading our drinks and popcorn . We also have the luxury of seeing the new movie showing a day early! We just saw the new Superman movie, it was fun and exciting. I just love this theater. The staff is friendly. You can request the popcorn cooked nice and hot. One thing I love about this theater is the recycling seats. I bring a blanket because I don't know about the temperature sometimes. It just make it cozy to enjoy your movie. read more

I do like this theater. It's always clean and never too busy. The theaters themselves are smaller than the others in the area... much smaller. The seats are comfortable, the sound quality is good, and the employees are very helpful. It is a bit of a nuisance for patrons with handicap or accessibility needs. There are some stairs to go up when your theater is down one of the hallways. There is a lift, but that causes a slight inconvenience. The food court area is small but gets the job done! I tend to go here when the other AMC theaters aren't offering showings with the recliners. Overall, it's a solid place to enjoy a movie. I will be returning!!! Enjoy! #jsho read more

First time trying this AMC located inside the Burbank Town Center Mall. I had no disappointments whatsoever, the service was really good and clean theatre. I like how cute it is and they have good food options to choose from that are limited. The movie stadiums are close together except theaters 5-8. It is a little walk. Further, I like how they celebrated Halloween to the customers and gave out candy tonight. Inside the theatre is really small but cute. It had nice leather seats and they are willing to clean them if you want to feel comfortable. They close at 10:45, and you can still exit throughout the mall to the parking garage. It is very easy to find on third level of mall. Overall, I will come back here good experience and I like the set up and how it's lowkey, and of course good customer service. By no means would anyone call me a 'Movie Buff' which is probably odd living in La La Land. I just don't connect with the art of film (I'm a reader - books are where it's at!). This means I am not a frequent movie theater attendee and in fact the last time I attended a movie in the theater before this review was about 5 years prior! What this ALSO means is that I am actually quite particular with movie theaters with strict boundaries versus a, "Love them all!" - attitude. Big, small, old-fashioned, stadium style... Los Angeles has it all. Let's take a visit to AMC Burbank Town Center 8. AMC Burbank Town Center 8 is located on the top floor of the Burbank Town Center mall near Burlington, Dairy Queen, and the center escalators - NOT to be confused with the AMC theater on the first floor or the fancy-schmancy AMC theaters across the street. Sound confusing? It can be, for sure. There have, I'm certain, been incidents of patrons going to the wrong theater in this AMC puzzle. Parking immediately adjacent to AMC 8 is easy-peasy if you park in the (free) garage on the Magnolia/3rd corner by the Burlington entrance. This puts you steps away from the theater box office. The best descriptors that will come to your mind when entering AMC 8 are cozy, intimate, old-school, small, etc. Some might say 'outdated' but honestly, I like the diminutive real estate and prefer this over feeling like I'm at a Rolling Stones concert on a stadium tour. A small ticket counter sits on the left, there is a bar for cocktails (although wasn't open for my 9:15 show) and a concession stand. Check-in was quick as we had purchased tickets online. As you walk to your theater room; look down at the carpeting that reminds of a bowling alley or the roller skating rinks of our youth. Be sure to listen to the staff telling you which number room is yours as there are no digital signs here listing the movie playing! My room (#2) was definitely undersized in comparison to regular size theater rooms and perplexingly smaller than the stadium theaters so if you hate crowds like I do - this is perfect. Even despite the size, AMC 8 still boasts lush, reclining chairs (that you can pick ahead of time) so your viewing is comfortable and allows you to stretch out. There were no sticky floors or arm rests so the cleaning staff does their job well. I do think the stereo volume was a bit loud (perhaps because of the small size?) but I am trying to find negatives. Overall, it's an enjoyable, inviting experience but again only if you err on the side of liking smaller theaters which I do. I do have to complain about the ladies' room which was modern but filthy with toilet paper everywhere, a non-working sink and water puddles galore. My male friend said the mens' room was "gross" so I can assume it is across the board. When my movie was finished, the main AMC 8 lobby entrance was closed (the mall was already closed with stores gated when we arrived) so you exit through a side door in the hallway which is slightly off-beat but this also didn't bother me. I rather liked all the out of the ordinary characteristics of AMC 8. AMC 8 is the definition of 'subjective' and comparable to the phrase, "One man's junk is another man's treasure" as some may view it as a dinky, archaic theater while others like myself enjoy its personable and down-to-earth nature. It truly revolves around whatever it is you prefer. But don't be deterred from viewing a film here in their lush chairs - you will enjoy yourself, regardless! read more

I've got such mixed feelings about this theater. First off, I am really concerned about the exposed wires in the ceiling of the hallway. Seems like a safety hazard and OSHA violation. See my pictures. Also, while the seats and theater seemed tidy, there was a prevalent musty smell in the air of theater 8. Could be due for deep cleaning or be a ventilation issue? Unpleasant though. It was the smallest theater I've ever been in. But I liked the decoration in the theater; seemed like a fancy private theater in a rich person's home. The employee we scanned our tickets with was a pleasant young man. So I really hope the issues I mentioned get fixed, it's a nice small theater. I visited this past weekend for a late movie show, and I had purchased my ticket online, so once I arrived, you get your ticket scanned right away. The food concierge is just a few feet from where you enter and since I (thought) had 20 minutes left, I decided to get their popcorn. While waiting, I noticed the MacGuffin's bar (small) and once I spotted my fav beer on tap, I had to go over and order it. There were two customers ahead of me, one slow bartender, aside from being slow, he kept chatting away with these two. Mind you, I kept eating my popcorn as I waited for the "bartender" to assist me. Literally, my spare time was spent waiting at this small and slow bar, once it was my turn, I showed him my ID, I give him my order, and he still says " I forgot if I checked your ID?" so I responded with "do you want to see it again? and showed it to him. I only wanted a beer and to get going and this guy made it almost impossible for me to do so. His name was not displayed on his tag, unsure if it was erased or whatnot, but I also did not get my receipt. The most annoying customer service ever. Other than that, I do enjoy the fact that I was able to take my beer inside with me and they offer recliners. Regarding one other concern for me, the hand dryers inside the restrooms, covered in "mold-like" which is totally unsanitary in my opinion, so no do use them, just grab paper towels. read more

This theater is inside the Burbank mall. My usual go to for movies is the nearby AMC 16 but I had the opportunity to see a movie here just recently. It's a lot smaller so it's less chaotic. The best of all? I love those comfy reclining seats. However, I do find it a little hard for disabled people. You have to go through several steps to go in and out of the theater itself or the restroom which is at the hallway. Thankfully, there's a lift that you can use especially if you have a wheelchair. read more

This AMC theatre is located inside the Burbank Mall and in the heart of Downtown Burbank. The theatres are small and intimate with electric vinyl seats. They have a bar and different types of pretzels and special hot dogs for the month. Today, they had chili dogs. The staff was cool and helpful. The theatre was clean but the hallways near the restrooms needed to be swept. The restrooms need to be upgraded the sinks are faded. Great place if you want to go to the movies after shopping or eating. There are two more AMC theaters around the corner that are bigger if this theater does not have the movie you want to see. AMC Burbank Town Center 8 is a small theater location (smaller than the AMC Burbank Town Center 16) located inside the mall on the top floor. Parking is easy to find at the nearby structure and it is a small walk to the theater from there. I actually don't mind the smaller theater size, it is pretty cozy. The seats are spacious and comfortable (they recline). Just be prepared to wear/bring a sweater as it can get a little chilly in there. They have a little bar area where you can order drinks that you are allowed to bring inside the theater. The beverage prices are rather high in my opinion ($30 for a cocktail and a beer) but maybe that should be expected. read more

I've been to this theatre on and off. The sound quality is maybe one of the worst I've experienced in a theatre. You can hear every move of people walking and shifting around, which is unpleasant and nerve-racking when its dark. Some old seats also squeal. The worst is my latest trip. As the movie was starting, I noticed the door was left open. It's one of those that if you push far enough, the mechanism locks and stays open until you pull. So you have to get up to close it, it won't close on it's own. After I did this, an employee with the most jangly set of keys, a manager or usher, pushed it back open. Not once, but multiple times throughout. So I had to get up multiple times to close it. When it's open you can hear just about everything. People walking by. Other movies playing. Crowds at concessions. And those jangly set of keys walking up and down the hall, incessantly. The sound instantly bleeds out, and you can no longer hear the movie if you are in the back few rows. Not to mention the bright light shining in. Whoever that employee was made it a deliberate unpleasant experience. Sometimes this theatre is the only one playing independent films. Screens are as small or smaller than an arthouse. The seats are comfortable recliners, though the retro eye-line isn't optimal when heads are still in view. The price is the best if you are not a subscriber, so it's affordable. There are pros and cons; however, the sound is the biggest con there. read more

This 8 screen theater is inside the Burbank Town Center on the 3rd level. It's a nice alternative to the larger AMC Burbank 16 outside. While smaller, it also gets less crowded and has fewer crazies so it feels safer (to me at least). The theaters are clean and I haven't had any problems with the projection/sound. If you want to watch a movie with no fuss no muss, watch here instead of the 16 screen. read more

Fryer wasn't working so couldn't get tenders or fries, got the 4 cheese pizza which you can see in the photo was burned and also the sodas from the machine tasted really bland and not fresh at all (Yes! Not one smile, maybe I heard a grunt, but zero customer service skills. They must hate their job as it showed. We bought tickets to watch Cruella and walked to the wrong theater, we weren't aware there was another theater in the mall. No big deal as they are practically next to each other across the street. This place is small, the hallways, the restroom, and the moving screening rooms too. The seats are very comfortable but my seat would not recline so I changed to another seat. Seats are assigned so make sure you are not assigned to the first row where you have to stare up throughout the movie. read more

Very disappointed. My sister is in a wheelchair and our movie was in auditorium 1 which is upstairs, the elevator for her was broken so we waited for the manager to give us a solution. She was very rude and not friendly at all, she didn't even introduced herself when she came up to us I only knew she worked here because she had the AMC t shirt but not a name tag. She only said that the elevator was broken and that the only thing they could do is get us into a another movie. We came specifically to watch a movie and she couldn't offer us maybe the same movie but in a different schedule. So my family and I had to carry my sister and her wheelchair upstairs, not a single staff offered to help. I've been to this AMC three time and haven't had a problem whatsoever. They have reclining seats, a small bar and food service. Plus, it is located inside of a mall. You're able to do some shopping before or after (considering what time you're movie is over) you movie. I've seen people bring outside food and not be told to throw it away which I love. We bring snack yet still purchase popcorn and a drink for the movie. I did give it 4 stars only because the women's restroom is filthy the times I've been there. Not sure how often they clean them but there's always toilet paper all over the wet floor. Other than that, the theater is is small and just fine.
