I went to go see Michael! I went on a Wednesday. I ordered my ticket on line and wed and Tuesday online it's half off. I also placed my popcorn and soda orders which was ready at the time of the movie. Parking was a breeze! The popcorn was fresh. The soda was so good. I did have to use the restroom and they were well maintained. The theater was well maintained. The movie was great and not overcrowded! I love this theater even though it's about 25 minutes away from me! read more

Well there aren't a lot of theatre's to compete with. This is only my second time at a theatre in the last few years. We came to see Top Gun. The workers seemed very pleasant. We got a military discount on tickets which made them 5.00 each. (Two PM showing). The seats are comfortable, this particular theatre seems pretty spacious. The floors are not sticky. We got the large drink and popcorn combo. Hopefully the movie starts on time. read more

Everything was overpriced, dirty, the screens/movies looked terrible - washed out and faded. Was very disappointed. Went to see Coraline when it was re-released and it was such a crappy experience. Looked like a VHS copy on an old tv instead of a movie theater. read more

Took the kids to see a movie and just left after sitting 2.5 hours in a sweaty theatre. Pier I. On our way out we mentioned to a worker the theatre was very very warm. He said yah we know the air conditioning is not working. It would have been to know that before spending $30 in tickets and $50 in food and drink. Extremely disappointing. read more

The service has greatly improved at this theater. As you can tell, it used to get a pretty bad rap. I've gone back to this AMC over the other big circus down the street. At least at this theater, I feel like it is staffed by people who actually enjoy movies. They answer the phone, answer your questions like the size of theater and audio capabilities of your selected showtime, and are always courteous at the counter. It is a little bit older building, but has been updated in some houses with recliners and tray tables, etc. I prefer there are larger, traditional houses near the front of the theater. Still not the brightest projection, but that is pretty typical nowadays everywhere. Skip the hassles at the other local AMC and give this a try again. No lines, no waiting. read more

I've frequented this movie theater for years through numerous ownership and name changes. This is now an AMC affiliate. The movie we saw last night was A Star Is Born, starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. The movie itself was terrific, and I would see it again and again it was that good! A few things need change for me to want to return. Here are my issues with the theater experience last night. These put a damper on our full, unimpeded enjoyment of this super movie. The speaker in Theatre #4 crackled loudly the ENTIRE movie! It was hugely distracting, annoying, and a problem for anyone with challenges related to background noises. People started to arrive for the next showing before the credits ended. I've never had this happen before. I wanted to read who starred in the movie. I also was interested in reading the music details to find out about Gaga's and Cooper's writing and performing. The popcorn was awful, tasted like old kernels. Staff poured plenty of salt on it--masking how stale it was?! Staff present at the time need etiquette training. While waiting for my food (after paying), female staffer gave me an empty cup and walked away. She went to the back counter to get food for other waiting customers. A multi-tasking, courteous thing to do would have included a "Please get your drink" or "Just a second while I serve another customer waiting and I'll bring you fresh popcorn." No "Thanks for waiting" or something similar. A friendly comment would go a long way toward reassuring waiting customers that they're not being forgotten. Signs at the box office window to instruct customers to purchase tickets inside can be a bit more enticing and exciting. How about something like, "Hello moviegoers! Welcome inside to get your tickets!" I hope this theater is successful and would love to give a favorable review in the future! read more

Didn't have a large offering of movies to watch, but I did find something to watch. It was clean. Seats comfortable. I was really surprised how clean the restroom was. I didn't get any food so can't help you there. I would probably visit again if I'm visiting this area again. I will say they had to many commercials. I don't know if that's from the theater or the movies. But I've never seen anything like. 15 minutes of commercials and some repeated then they show the previews of coming movies. So I'm thinking it's the theater. That would be a reason for me not to return. read more

What is the point of a "buy tour tickets online, check in here"'stand that is not staffed? I've been very disappointed by this theater the past two times I've gone, so I'm definitely not going back. I purchased 3D tickets for Star Wars online for the weekend it opened at this theater, and when I got my tickets from the guy at the register, he didn't hand me 3D glasses so I asked about it, he said the movie wasn't in 3D. I knew I paid for 3D tickets, so I showed him on my app and he said they changed movie times and the 3D movie wasn't for another few hours. I purchased the tickets two weeks in advance and they couldn't have notified me about the time change? They did refund my money, but how annoying. Just last night, I went with my boyfriend to see Jurrasic World. When we got there, there was a group of people standing outside the theater because it wasn't cleaned yet. We stood outside for probably ten minutes, there was absolutely no rush to clean up and get us in there. Once we finally got into the theater, we sat in silence for about fifteen more minutes until someone went to tell the staff that the movie wasn't playing. Once the movie finally started, things were fine. Until the movie ended and the lights didn't come back on. Not a huge deal, but do the employees pay attention at all? I don't really like leaving a theater in pitch black. It felt like the whole thing was zero effort from the employees. read more

I went to see Rocket Man and ended up only watching the credits. We were in the theater for an hour and they couldn't get the movie to start. We were then told we could get a refund and waited another 20 min to get a refund. Total time an hour and a half! There were three people at one register! No apology just waiting while other movie goers were helped while we had to wait. We got a free movie pass but they didn't take into consideration the food we bought for a movie we didn't get to see. we went to see rocket man but really all we saw were the opening trailers. after the trailers the movie did not start, we then waited another half hour without any employees telling us what was going on. once we did get an announcement (an hour after the movie was supposed to start) they told us they couldn't get the movie to start and they would refund our tickets and give us a pass to a free movie. we then waited in a line to get our refund and ended up waiting longer because only one register was doing the refunds. another register was unoccupied and another register was for customers who were buying tickets or snacks at the concession stand. there were three employees at each register. it should only require one person to help someone at each register. i understand that technical difficulties aren't at the fault of people themselves but i think they could've updated us and promptly refunded our tickets. read more

The old AMC 8 theater in the Hampton shopping center has been completely redone with new seats, screens, sound system, A/C and Heating units, a fresh paint job and redone snack bar. However at the end of the day, it's still another theater that charges between 6-11 dollars to see a show. Which, to my fiancee who is from Toronto, is reasonable but to your everyday Mechanicsburgian, can be considered a little spendy when you take into account you can rent movies from blockbuster, redbox, or your cable company for 4-6 dollars. Still though, you need the theater for that big screen experience. We went last night to see Sherlock Holmes. 2 adult tickets 18 dollars, Medium popcorn, Large soda, 9.75. Standard fare for the movie experience. Seats were comfortable and there is plenty of legroom. The lower seating tilts but the springs are fairly tight so it takes effort to keep yourself pushed back which causes your legs to get tired after a bit. Other than that however, everything else was ok. Pretty clean, floors weren't sticky, carpets were vacuumed. My only curiosity is that there was no one standing taking the tickets, I could have just walked in without paying out front and no one would have even noticed. We've been going to this theater for years but the last movie we went to will probably be the last at this theater. The actual theater where our movie was shown was absolutely disgusting. Trash everywhere, sticky floors and the seats didn't look very clean. The bathrooms looked like ones you'd find at a truck stop. Trash all over the floor, buildup of grime at the sinks, no soap at any of the sinks and no paper towels to dry your hands. read more

Went to watch Circle here on the first day of release - Thursday evening. There were not many people that evening - parking was easy to find. The person behind the popcorn and drinks counter sells the ticket as well. He mentioned some deals also to us - friendly staff. The movie theatre seating was also decent and comfortable - overall not a bad experience. The sound quality in the theatre wasn't that great. Overall a satisfactory experience e- can try them out again for another movie. read more

STOP SUPPORTING THIS PLACE UNTIL THEY GET THEIR BUSINESS FIGURED OUT!!!! They forget to start movies, they leave the fluorescent lights on in the theater until the previews start, they leave spotlights on during the movie, the movie does not even fit on the screen, and the bathrooms are broken. There was a solid half inch of water in the bathroom, and nothing but a fold out plastic sign to warn you. 54 bucks to get 3 people in and 3 drinks, and nothing but an "I'm sorry for your experience" when you try to complain. They put fake flowers on the sink and front door mats in front of the sinks so you don't fall down, but it's like lipstick on a pig. Their core business is broken. Just go somewhere else...or better yet, stay home. This place truly sucks. read more

Dirty theatre from previous movie. I mean mess level 10. You could sit in a good seat if you wanted to deal with someone else's previous mess. Men's restroom paper towels were also jammed. So no paper towels. Told manager and he said it SHOULD have been clean. End of conversation and never cleaned. This used to be a nice place once upon a time when it was Flagship. Me and my wife enjoy coming to this theatre as the staff is always friendly, it's clean, and it's never over crowded. The prices are good and they do offer the bucket deal where you can get your popcorn refilled on your future visits for only $4. Overall a good time to experience the latest movie that are out. read more

Disappointed... Purchased tickets online for Incredibles 2, figuring that it would be sold out otherwise, got to theater only to be told that the show was sold out. I explained that I had purchased tickets already, and was told that I would still have to wait for the next showing, get a refund, or choose a different movie. How does this happen? I bought tickets. Discussed with my family and decided to see the next showing, arrived earlier than necessary to make sure we had seats only to see a grouping of seats "out of order". I wish I could say that that was the first time I've seen this at this theater, but it's not. I'm just glad we didn't have to sit in the aisle as we had in the past. The only saving grace was the manager who we spoke with regarding the issue (I believe his name is Austin), he seemed like he understood that he's trying his best while the ship is sinking. Since there is another theater across town, I'll probably go to that one from now on. read more

We went to the theater to watch Star Wars in 3D last Saturday. The location on the Carlisle Pike is nice (it's close to everything). There were a fair number of people in the theater for the same move. We arrived early enough to watch the previews and get popcorn and sodas. The previews got stuck at one point (we could hear the audio but not see the picture). We went and spoke to an attendant who got it fixed. However, when the movie came on, it was NOT our movie. We checked our tickets, and the sign outside the door-- we were in the right spot. We went to the attendant who check to see what was going on. He came back and said....."oops, you are in the wrong theater you need to be in theater one". We asked if the movie was already in progress and he responded that we were lucky as the previews for Star Wars were longer than the movie we were sent to in error. We, and most of the rest of the theater moved to theater one. At no time did the movie theater apologize or attempt to make things right. On the plus side, we didn't miss the movie and the movie itself was great. However, sending patrons verbally (the purchasing clerk told us the wrong theater), having the tickets and the sign outside the door for the wrong theater is a HUGE Minus! Going to the movies is an expensive time out - it should be a good experience from start to finish. To be honest, this may have been the theater's last chance for us. The service, building and snacks haave gone downhill over the years. This may be the straw that puts it over the edge. read more

Flagship Cinema is Amazing! I went to see breaking dawn(way after the premire) at 7 and only 8 dollars a ticket! Seats are no way like any other theater, they are extreamly comfy! And each theater only has like 5 or 6 rows! Also there are these little tables I really don't know what their are for but they make great foot rests and each seat has them so nobody is kicking your seat. The only reason why I didn't give it all five stars is because they must not show previews because we got their alittle late 3 or so min and the movie was already started so that kinda sucked but other than that Flagship Cinema(by the way is a submarine themed) is a awesome theater! read more

Came for the early showing at 10:20 and Lee Freeman (the manager) never showed up to open the theatre. The two employees that were also there waiting were very nice apologizing and trying to call all the managers and no one was picking up! I am extremely disappointed in this theatre the management is very irresponsible and I hope amc takes a hard look at the management. I give the employees a 5 they were doing everything they could to help us. read more
