This theater needs some serious help. It smells like mildew and they never seem to have enough people working. The upstairs bathroom is gross and smelly. I only went to this theater to attend a screening of the Fluffy movie and the next thing I know I was watching the movie Tammy. WTH? Several people got up to inform the staff and I even called the front in hopes that someone would come and fix it. I really like this movie theater because of the close proximity to my house and it usually has a lot of showtimes available. That being said, there are a few things that keep me from saying it's the best. First off, this theater is older and has the feeling that the interior hasn't been updated in a decade or so. Secondly, the concession prices are a little high, but if you buy the meals that can cut the cost. I do love how they offer a variety of concession products from pita chips to organic fruit snacks, jumbo-sized candies, and ice cream. Their updated Coke machine is also fun because of the offerings it provides (Diet Seagram's = amazing)! Around Academy Award season they do this special where you can view half of the Best Picture contenders for a whole day at one price. It's a marathon that comes with fun "Award show passes" and special booklets with tons of information. My mom and I have done the special before and we loved it. We also won a free poster after answering the right quiz questions. All in all, a solid movie theater in the perfect location. read more

This place sucks if you're looking for expedient service. Went to see a matinee on a Friday morning. Tons of personnel walking around but a short line at the ticket booth moved super slowly and only one working concession person at the front who wasn't in any hurry to get the line down(and there was only 3 in line). Redeeming grace was that employees were friendly and the establishment was clean and tidy. If I were to come here again, would give an extra extra 15 minutes to be sure not to miss movie starts while waiting in both lines. read more

Worst amc that I've been to. We wanted to order the "chicken tender meals" the guy that worked there told us that they don't offer any "fried foods?" Ok...but it's clearly on the menu. So we ended up getting the popcorn combos and an orange Minute Maid. The Minute Maid tasted like it was expired months ago. The color was just off , so we ended up throwing it away. The staff didn't wear any protective gloves while serving us our popcorn. But they were multi tasking touching the trash can and the ordering machine screen to take out order. Ya NASTY!!!! We didn't finish ordering our food, he went and swipe our card the first time without our acknowledgment and cut us off while we were still tryin to order. He came back and we told him we also wanted another drink, and he took out card and swipe it the 2nd time! We didn't realize until my bf checked his account that the dude charged us twice with 2 different amount. The restroom were filthy and so nasty! They tried to save on electricity, instead of turning on the ac, they turned on the ceiling fans! Wahhhh in the world!!! And when we finished watching the movie, the pulled down all of the gates to close off the exit, we had to climb down the ugly, stinky back door stairway. We will never ever visit this amc establishment again! I feel like amc doesn't even care about this location anymore. So steer clear of this location if you want to have a good time! read more

The management was unprofessional after kicking out everyone in the row I was sitting in by just assuming it was us that were being loud when it was infact the people in front of us. They didn't let us ask why we were being kicked out and they weren't making an investigation to find out if the actual people that were being problematic got kicked out. read more

On 6-25-22 my family and I visited the the theater. There is real need for a handicap entrance to the theater. We tried to use the exit elevator but were told we could not come in. We explained that we were getting tickets by our family member who would be meeting us at the elevator, she made us go back to the parking gargage and not allow us to wait by her. Secondly, seating. for handicap is very poor. You do have a handicap sign posted for disabled to exit the theater elevator but we found out that you do not pay attention to it when we tried to enter. The handicap sign should really work both ways entering and exiting.. We are not trying to rob by not purchasing a ticket but just enjoy a family night out. Two of our family members needed a little understanding because they have difficulty. I will not visit the theater again. I really should file a federal complaint. Signed from Dayton, TX. read more

So a friend and I went to see Aladdin in the Dolby cinema. The first thing that happened was I went to the restroom and there was a giant roach on the floor. Then during the movie the sound went out for 10 minutes finally they fixed it and played it for 5 minutes and then decided to rewind it. Totally disrupted the movie experience. But I have them. A star back for giving us 2 free movie passes because of the sound issue. read more

What else to do over the holidays but see a movie, right?! So off we went to Deerbrook AMC! The line was long, as expected. We tried using the three self-serve machines, but none were working, so we had to get back in the long line. Fail! One nice thing is that they allow you to bring outside food in to the theatre, although they did tell us that that "feature" ends as of January 1. Fail! For some reason that only the movie-theatre-building-gods know, this particular theatre puts steps in the front row of the theatre where you cross to the other side. I have personally unexpectedly tripped and fallen here before (while screaming "Sh*t!!" at the top of my lungs) and it happened to someone else while we were watching the movie. The lady tried to cross, didn't expect a step IN A DARK MOVIE THEATRE, and fell. Fail! Still, the popcorn is excellent -- always freshly popped -- and the seats are comfortable. It's easy to navigate even though it's a two story building and they still offer matinee prices which I love since I'm old and like to go the movies before 4pm. Heh. Dirty! That's one word to sum it up. From the snack bar to the seating in theatre it was dirty. Coke machines were out and only one machine available. Customer service could be better! Male cashier took my first item order and then disappeared to back to talk with coworkers and then reappeared a few minutes later so I could complete my order. Seating was dirty with popcorn, wrappers and even floors and stair ways weren't attended to. Family of 4 and we spent too much money here for the service and uncleanliness. read more

On the plus side: Kiosk check in machines to buy tickets or retrieve ones you've bought online. If you buy a large popcorn or large soda you can get free refills. Plenty of screens so you're movie is probably playing there. On the negative side: it's getting time for an update. Sun. 3/3/19 - Gone With The Wind - HORRIBLE Customer Service - Partial Refund - DO NOT PURCHASE ONLINE: I planned to take my nieces to see this movie for the 80th Anniv. We arrived and everything was good. We got our snacks and our seats. This theater does not let you pick seats but whatever ok. The seats felt DIRTY and on top of that the movie started with NO SOUND. We were told they were looking into the problem but also that they could not re-start the movie. For those that have not seen this movie it is like a 4 hour movie. The opening scenes are important as it sets the tone for the whole movie. Yeah, 20 mins in they are still aka "working on it" and still they are saying that "it is what it is, we are not restarting the movie". Finally they tell us that we can all just go to Guest Services because they cannot get the sound to work. Our tickets were purchased online through the AMC for the Deerbrook location, but upon getting the refund, the young lady refused to refund the $9.75 online fee that is charged as well to purchase the tickets. I basically paid AMC for a movie that I DID NOT SEE. They refunded the actual ticket amount but not the additional charge saying "policy" won't allow them too. WHICH IS A RIP OFF. I do not normally use this movie theater and I WILL NOT EVER use this theater again. The customer service was so horrible and not understanding at all regarding the huge inconvenience this caused some people who traveled a couple of hours to see this movie as it was the closest location. THEN, THEN guest services wouldn't refund your concession stand items claiming "oh I cannot do that, you have to go back into the concession stand line and get the credit over there". #@!^& really, you are GUEST SERVICES what do you mean you can't credit the stuff all in one place, why do you make people go and stand in 2 different lines. The staff was annoyed with us as if we did something wrong when they were the ones that were having the issues and then having to deal with shitty attitudes after the movie didn't want to work was just UNACCEPTABLE. Then to get shorted on the refund with no clear reason why. My family and I will never come back. We love Showbiz-Fall Creek, next time I will just drive out to Willowbrook or Woodlands or Kingwood as I live in Humble I will not go to this AMC location ever again. Luckily they will be showing this movie again at a different location further away so I AM PRAYING that the AMC we plan to go to has better customer service and better quality service on the movie. read more

My family and I had a horrible experience at this theater on December 21 2018. Thirty minutes into the movie a group of people ran out of the theater (#11), screaming that there were rats by their seats. Right after that, the sound went out on the movie. We went to the customer service desk and requested a refund - the manager, Amanda, refused. She said that her computer system couldn't do that, and that we could only have vouchers for another AMC . Given the situation (RATS??), we don't ever want to go to another AMC Theater. She kept refusing, then walked away from us in the middle of our conversation. Turns out that she called security to escort us out - because we asked for a refund!!!! On our way out of the mall we called AMC's corporate offices. They stated that the manager was out-of-line, and could have - and should have - given us a refund. They were able to issue us one, and we received it within 30 minutes. In short, avoid this theater! read more

This world is becoming an idiocracy. Employees can no longer think for themselves. This is not good for America. Here's the scenario, two lines of patrons approaching the ticket booth from opposite directions (left line and right line). The booth is manned by three employees with two are on the left side and one on the right side. Of the two on the left side, one is just left of center. Once it's my turn to purchase tickets, I go the the employee just left of center, she (Aneka, Ameka?) tells me she cant wait on me because I'm on the wrong side of the line. What??? Huh?? What difference does it make, you're open, I need a ticket we both win. Apparently thats not how it goes. Her position in the booth just slightly off center left means that she can't help me. It must be perfectly acceptable for one line to get serviced much faster than the other. Let's just allow people wait instead of helping move things along. Ugh read more

I've been going to this Theater for at least 20 years, or from the time Deerbrook was built. Maybe I'm not terribly picky, but I think it looks pretty good, and the service was really good as well. A bit of a wait for popcorn, but the popcorn was DELICIOUS! Always aggravates me to drop $20.02 on popcorn and 2 drinks.... but oh well. I understand that's how they make their money. I've been going to this movie theater for about 10 years at least. This experience has turned me off from the entire place forever. The ticket kiosks never print tickets, no one works the ticket stands anymore because they can't have enough people work at this place to keep it open. Today I went to go see Wonder Woman, the movie was supposed to start at 5:20. When we got in the theater at 5:10 NOTHING WAS ON THE SCREEN. Not even a single preview. By 5:30 we had at least 4 people out of a decently full movie theater complain that there still was nothing on our screen. Around 5:35 they turned the movie on but the lights to the theater were still fully on. By 5:50 my own father, who is not a complainer by any means, goes downstairs and tells someone to finally turn the lights off. Wonder Woman was a great movie I recommend you go see it but dear god don't go here. read more

I was seeing a movie with 3 of my friends and we went to get concessions, while we were gone a lady that works at the movie theatre came in the the theatre and gave everyone a warning to be quite. Of course they didn't though so she came back and told all teenagers to leave the theater in the middle of the movie. Thankfully we talked her down into letting us back in but just an awful experience I had with my friends we missed 20 of the movie and about another 30 having to listen to all the teenagers yell at each other trying to be funny . This past Saturday, I decided, to go to AMC for a family fun day. This turned out to be a nightmare. This is probably the worst movie theater that I have EVER, been in during my 41years of living. First, the ticket purchasing went smoothly. Secondly, you get to this guy that check the tickets and that's when the hell start. He is very rude and have an unpleasant odor about himself. He treat and talk to the kids like they are not paying customers. Thirdly, once inside past this bully, most of the staff is literally sweating from chasing down movie hoppers. One senior staff member even asserted to me that the little kids are all criminals and that he was just doing his job. Finally, the nail in the coffin for me was, 5 minutes after our movie actually started we had to send someone to tell the cinematographer to turn the lights off. An all around horrible experience for me and my family. On top of all of that, it was my baby boy first movie experience. read more

This theater gets worse and worse. I only go there if there is something on Fathom that I want to see. I went to see Batman: The Killing Joke last night, and the Half wit management couldn't even turn on the A/C, or the ceiling fans. The theater was sizzling hot!!!!(Houston Summers) And after the movie was over, the morons in management didn't even turn up the house lights, so everyone can see the steps, without tripping/falling. I used to go here from the early to mid 00's when I was in high school. Used to be a fairly nice, decent movie theater. Went for the first time since then last night, and now it's dirty and ghetto. One positive thing is that someone complained about the group in the back row talking loudly and cutting up, and a staff member came in and kicked them out quickly. That was a pleasant surprise. Not sure why this place has gone downhill, but I'm assuming that maybe it has to do with the fact that some nicer theaters with better patrons opened up nearby in recent years. If I could give zero stars I definitely would. This is the worst theater I have ever been too. From the most disgusting and dirtiest theater I've ever been too to the most horrible food ever. Not only was the movie screen bad but you could take a step without walking on trash the floor was so dirty. Also the movie me and my fiancé went and seen was a good movie but the people in there kept talking and kicking or chairs and people had brought their babies and they continued to stay in the movie while they cried. Okay, I've been here recently a few more times, and this place is filthy! Just last night, the theater we went into was so dirty! The stairs had popcorn and dirty napkins all over, and you bet the rows of seats weren't clean either. Each row I passed by had the drinks in the holders and food underneath the chairs. Then I walked into what I thought was a cleaner row and I went to sit down and there was full drink under the chair and I kicked it and it spilled. I felt so gross. I just tried to attend a late showing (10:15) of the Clint Eastwood movie "The Mule", & ended up walking out of the theater just as it was starting. I showed up more than half an hour early, took my seat as soon as I could be admitted, & waited, yet just as the last preview ended & the credits were about to roll, a group of four people came in with bags full of concessions, sat in the seats directly behind me, and started having their party, talking & laughing it up...whenever I turned around to start to say something, they quieted down, & that would last for maybe 20 seconds...NOW ONE MAY SAY THIS IS NOT THE THEATERS' FAULT...& I disagree...I looked at my watch as I got downstairs & it read 10:45, which was a surprise, & means they admitted this group more than 20 minutes late, easily, conservatively, that late, gambling that it was still previews, that they would not be disruptive, that if they were, then someone already there could move & reseat themselves before the movie started, that no one's experience would be ruined....& they are dead wrong. If you want to cater to everyone, got it, but if you think the money of people who are rude, disruptive, & upsetting to other patrons carries further, well it does not....if you are grateful that they are buying bags of popcorn, that this gives them a pass to be jerks, OK, yet I think they are the ones most likely to throw it around the theater & leave their trash behind, again making things more unpleasant & expensive for everyone else....& these people knew what they were doing....as soon as I stood up they quieted down again & I could see them glaring at me even in the dark, as though I had no right to be offended by them....as to what I did next, I saw if there were any other movies that had not yet started, but even though their showtimes were later, they had in theory already begun, and I did not want to be that A**hole walking in late if I bought another ticket....I thought of asking for a refund, yet could find nobody by the box office that was not occupied....also in theory the movie had been on for 30 minutes, so just what is the policy or cut off time if there is one?....so my evening had been ruined & I left. IF ONE thinks I am some weirdo who needs things to be a certain way or wanted the theater to myself, uh, no....there were others in the theater, certainly, & it is not like all of them were being absolutely silent, & kids or yojnger children being loud does not bother me at all, as they do not know better...these people who were let in late were adults, & come on, they do know better ...so no, this is about setting some limits, of being just a little courteous, & realizing that a few people's right to be loud is not more important than everyone else's right to have a little peace. For everyone that is a jerk socially, there are likely several more who have social anxiety, who have to work up courage just to get out & see a movie and enjoy the experience; & if they do they will return again & again & patronize the theater, become a member, bring their friends & family, all of that, yet they likely stopped long ago due to consistent bad experiences.....yet in my case none of that will any longer apply. I do have my receipt & ticket stub, yes, yet if I were to be refunded or have some incentive thrown at me, it changes nothing. I will not patronize a theater or chain that places more priority on catering to those who are set on ruining the experience for others, when some common sense rules could help mitigate that from happening over and over again....or at least be willing to help out those like me who do suffer from anxiety & depression, who may not be able to cope with sitting in a theater when others suddenly or unexpectedly set out to ruin the experience of seeing a movie....that is all you do, is try to provide that, so do not set up your patrons for failure....on a personal note I am a combat veteran with diagnosed PTSD & depression, on disability....I do not expect anyone to feel sorry for me or give me special treatment, but I did not serve for years to enforce the "rights" of anyone to be ruin things for others needlessly; if that is what is to be going on when I want to simply see a movie, then I will save myself the heartache & just stay home.... read more
