Located in the Deerbrook Mall in Humble Texas, this AMC theater has 24 screens playing movies, one of them in IMAX. Parking is plentiful and free in the mall parking garage. AMC has discounted pricing on Tuesday, even for IMAX (though they have a hefty $2.50 per ticket price for reserving it on-line...discounted if a AMC loyalty member). So my brother and I took the opportunity to watch F1 during its first week for release. The movie was excellent, basically Top Gun - Maverick on a racetrack. The IMAX theater had reclining lounge chairs which made the viewing comfortable. Though in that position, one can't see the bottom of the screen at all. For this movie, we hardly missed it. The experience definitely sucked us in.

As an A-List member and self-proclaimed cinephile, I frequent this AMC location because it's conveniently close to home. Sure, many theaters are getting fancy upgrades, but I kind of appreciate the nostalgic charm of this place--until I sit down that is. The IMAX and Dolby screens offer those sweet, sweet recliners, but the rest? Think dirty, outdated, and about as comfortable as a rock in a blender. Now, AMC's motto is "We make movies better," but apparently that doesn't apply to customer service. You'll find a rare gem or two who genuinely care, but the rest seem more invested in their phones or personal convos than in, you know, doing their jobs. And that A-List line? It's basically decorative. If there's only one person at the register, it's a free-for-all: "I can help whoever's next" -- whether you're A-List or just wandered in from the parking lot. Popcorn? I'll give them credit there. Most of the time, it's fresh and crunchy, with butter and salt stations for your DIY flavoring needs. Jalapeños used to be free, but apparently some rogue popcorn rebels ruined it for the rest of us, and now there's a surcharge. Then there's the soda situation. Those touchscreen machines with a buffet of drink options are great, when they actually have something in them. Half the time, they're out of everything except some obscure soda no one drinks. And don't even get me started on the audience. Since the pandemic, it seems like people think they're paying for both a movie and a social hour. Despite the pre-film plea for silence, there's always that one group that treats the theater like their living room. Whatever happened to ushers kicking out chatty patrons? Ah, the good ol' days. In short, I've accepted that the service here is permanently set to "meh." I still grin and bear it because, at the end of the day, I'm here for the love of movies, even if I have to bring my own patience.

The Deerbrook 24 AMC theatre is a good choice to spend a few hours. If you can get beyond the noise about mall crime you might find the Deerbrook mall has been nicely renovated. It has 24 screens and a full bar. The theatre itself has also been remodeled with comfortable seats, clean bathrooms and great movie experience with IMAX, SDX and Dolby. The biggest thing they lack are customers. It's way too quiet. It's a little unnerving to watch a movie with on 2 or 3 other couples. With the food court located right outside the entrance there is no reason not to enjoy an evening here.

The dirtiest movie theater I have ever been too. I would give this theater 0 stars. The seats where stained and disgusting. I did not even stay for the movie I paid for automatically left.

This theatre is located inside of Deebrook mall. We were not able to enjoy the movie the whole time due to the uncomfortable seats. I booked our tickets without knowing that these seats do not recline. We enjoyed the movie its self but will not be booking any more shows at this theatre.

It is now 2:06pm. Our movie was supposed to start at 1:30pm. We have told the manager twice now. He came in and made an announcement that it could be another 25 min before the movie starts. W. T. F. This is ridiculous. Im not coming back here even. Too many bad experiences from previous visits.

A year later... This theatre is still in progress or is poorly taken care of... The escalators to the second floor aren't functional. The restrooms are not working on the second floor and the repairs/updates are still in progress.

This place is nasty. Holes in the floor and seats. Seats sit straight up and are so small they think they are spirit airlines. Food is super pricey and stale. They were the only ones close playing our movie and we regret not driving an additional 30 minutes to not sit and watch a movie with cockroaches.

    Great resolution and sound!

We wanted to see the new Bond movie and noticed that every seat in every theater that we liked was booked. It made us uncomfortable to think of sitting through a whole movie in a pandemic in a crowded theater when the level of individual compliance where mask-wearing is concerned is so low. That is, until we went to the Deerbrook web page. I hesitate to write this because I don't want it to become so crowded as well, but I also hold some of the stock and I want AMC to succeed. Importantly, I believe in the golden rule so, if you're looking for a really good experience at a non-crowded location, Deerbrook is for you. Honestly, about as good as any theater you go to but without the lines. The restrooms are as clean as you can expect (cleaner even), and they have paper towels not the nasty blowers. No line at the concession stand. The theater was clean and they have recliners that work. Screen crisp and rich sound. It felt like going to the movies 20 years ago before Houston got so densely populated that you can't go anywhere without dealing with crowds. The type of crowd was reminiscent of my youth in Alief where there were middle class people from just about every walk of life and demographic. Honestly, it's not a posh theater in a bourgeois part of town, but that's also part of its charm. Will DEFINITELY go back for the next movie!

Outside inside, wood built bar, 2 stories, gravel rocks parking and grass entrance. Has the feel of a local crawfish spot but good hole in the wall joint, with good food good prices drinks and vibes. Everyone here either greeted with a smile or greeted with a hi. That's right, leave your worries home, and any bitterness you have on your chest, cause this isn't the place for it. No kiddos here or young folks either. Closes 2am every night. Seems like a more club on the weekend, I can only imagine with alot of open flooring space and a DJ nightly. Grown Grown here. This place... I should of been coming a long time ago. This place is Underrated. Forget your chain bars these days, this is where it's at. Bathrooms, and tables and service everywhere. Behind a Shipley's donut along side the feeder road. You'll miss this place if you blink. Sat up top for the views, FIRST TIME. Fans are near seating so you're not hot. But wanted Medium well, it was more like Medium, but turned out better than I normally thought. Seasoned, butter and savory hands down, and potatoes was well done, and fully loaded. Drinks were stiff here as well. I can only imagine a Fri-Sun night... more crowded, probably standing at times for a seat. Parking lot is first come first serve, very limited. And of course parking near Shipley Donuts when they're closed, in case full, just another secondary. I would really recommend this place if you like enjoying outdoor eating and music with a crowd. This is a real bar, no questions. Must try on your bucket list.

Let me start by saying there is PLENTY of parking as it in a shopping plaza at the end. So when I arrived I came a sat at the bar and was greeted by the bartender. There was a waitress and she stated I should order a Frozen Pineapple Margarita. It was sweet so probably wouldn't order it again. What I thought was good was there was a lot of wait staff around and the menu was HUGE. It appears what every day they have a food special around $11-12. There was a good amount of people in the spot as the ambiance looks like a typical sports bar. Currently it's hot but there is a patio outside that I plan to take advantage of later in the fall. I sat at the bar and order a six piece battered wing which was around $8-9. The flavors were barbecue and lemon pepper. I enjoyed the barbecue flavor as the sauce had a little kick but was good. Now I didn't like the lemon pepper. I think they fried the wing dings and sprinkled ALOT of lemon pepper. It was so salty I couldn't even eat it. I tried dusting it off but it was too much. Wouldn't recommend. Overall all I would be back maybe to get more of a bar experience as I think this spot has potential to be at least a 4 or 5. If you're in the area I'd definitely stop in.

They have fantastic wings and an IPA that resonates to all IPA drinkers, I can say, I have drunk many different ones to count (lived in SOCAL for some time) and attended many BeerFests. They have more than 30+ televisions and show mostly sports and some other programs. They also feature a jukebox, darts, a cigarette vending machine, video golf, and other digital bar games that require a tablet to play.
