I did not take any pictures of food or drinks because I was having way too much fun at this dive bar. This is labeled as a dive bar, but was actually super accommodating and awesome in every way. The food was a pleasant surprise with delicious egg rolls, wonderful grilled tuna steak, broccoli bites, wings, truffle fries. Everything we tried was amazing food wise. I LOVED this place. I went for a friends birthday and got to meet Rocko! Very nice guy and has good taste, he had a social distortion t shirt on. The people that visited this bar were so friendly! I have had several friends tell me I needed to check this place out. I finally made it tonight. Thursday night is $3 well drinks. I ordered a gin and tonic which I thoroughly enjoyed. The atmosphere is fun. Good music. Friendly people. Great service! I was starving so I ordered the smoked meatloaf sandwich. Omg! I will return just for that amazing sandwich. It's definitely not your mom's meatloaf!! I truly live this place, divey enough that I can throw on a cap, but not so divey that I come home smelling like smoke. Stopped by here for my birthday right when they opened at 4 with my husband and son. The staff was friendly with greeting us and letting us know that they don't do table service, you just order at the bar and they page you at the serving hatch when ready. It was pretty quiet while we were there [so appropriate for the family], but they said they have live music later on Sundays [may be more of a grown-up vibe]. They have darts, shuffleboard, and a selection of board games. As for the food we had the egg rolls, queso, grilled cheese, and pork sliders. I didn't try the grilled cheese [I'm no basic b!tch, lol] but everything else was delicious. The queso had brisket in it I think which added a nice smokiness and the pork in the sliders also had a nice smokey flavor. I like the idea of the pickled pineapple on the sliders which made them reminiscent of sweet and sour pork but I think their pickling liquid was a little too vinegar-y. All-in-all, I really enjoyed this little joint and will definitely try to come back. read more

Rocko's has a chill atmosphere and the establishment is clean. The staff are really friendly. My husband had been here with his friend before and told me how great the wings were. They serve them on Wednesdays. Tonight we drove 14 minutes to get the Vietnamese-style salt and pepper wings and Thai peanut sweet and spicy wings. While we waited for the wings, we had drinks. Everything was great! The folks are friendly, service great, and food and drinks are delicious. We'll definitely be back. Love supporting local businesses. read more

I wouldn't call it divey. It's actually very nice. The bartenders are supposed to be ugly, but Jude is a doll. I can actually taste tequila in my cocktail! Amazing hidden gem in friendswood/pearland area. We were visiting from Sugarland and had an amazing time! The menu is on point! So many gourmet options we were amazed that this was a bar with such amazing food options. We had the blue plate special. Spicy Asian chicken with rice and an egg, salad, and brisket egg rolls. It was so much food and so good! Interesting cocktails, they make some of their own syrups just amazing altogether. We came on a Friday. They had four dollar wine specials, which I was there for! We went on a random Wednesday evening to check this place out. We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt comfortable. The owner came over and chatted with us. The bartender was friendly and skilled. The drinks were amazing! Apparently they can their own cherries which were used to make our old fashioned. I also tried a blackberry bourbon drink that was tasty. We enjoyed the pimento cheese and tried a variety of wings. The hot honey and Thai peanut were our favorites. All the wings were meaty and fried perfectly. Our only disappointment were the garlic parmesean. They didnt have any flavor. That was the only miss. Newly opened spot in Pearland across the street from Saloon Door West that is open late every night! Very laid back atmosphere. The kind of place you can visit by yourself and not feel awkward or out of place. Owners were both very friendly and took time to talk to all the patrons. My wife and I met some friends at Rocko's, and I had zero idea how badly Pearland and I needed a great dive bar! We planned on having a quick drink and heading someplace else for dinner, but as the saying goes, "Man plans and the Bar God's and his wife laughs. We stayed for multiple drinks and dinner. I started with the tried and true Old Fashioned, and Rebecca "Nailed it". Rebecca was great; she was like Roy Kent "She's here she's there she every ... where". Besides meeting Rebecca, David and Teresa, the proprietors, were also on site. This place is a labor of love for them. They spent some time at our table chatting about Pearland, smokin' brisket (foreshadowing), why a dive bar, and more. (David, bummer on the arm. I hope you heal quickly and it becomes a great story to tell at the 5, 10, 15... year anniversaries of the opening). The atmosphere was great. This is going to age me, but oh well. The music was played at the perfect level. Yes, I am that guy. I hate it when I can't hold a conversation because someone thinks their playlist is more profound than I am (again, I am that guy). The music was at the perfect volume. I could enjoy the mix while conversing. Getting the volume right seems to be a lost art. In most places, I find either my kids will say something like, "I like this song," to which I respond," What song is music on?" or we will all leave with headaches and lost voices from trying to yell over the noise. I was told it was David's playlist, which, I am not ashamed to say, is better than mine. As I mentioned, we planned on having A drink with some friends before we went somewhere else for dinner. We enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to order dinner. Ordered dinner is not exactly what we did; we almost ordered one of everything and two of some things (my wife made me share). Sadly, we didn't have room for dessert, but we'll be back. THE FOOD WAS ALL AWESOME. Teresa is a brisket whisperer, and the "Brisket Before Bros" tacos ARE amazing - do not leave Rocko's without trying them; you're welcome. I am unsure what is in the crack they call "Pepper Jelly Ranch," but I think I am naming my next dog PJR. You will want to ask for extra jelly if you get the grilled cheese. By the way, your wife will roll her eyes when you lick the last drop of jelly out of the cup at the table, but it is worth it; I write from experience. read more

They rotate in new menu items as seasonal specials, eg, Lent dishes, and do discounts many nights of the week like whiskey and wings Wednesdays. Personal faves are the dumptruk fries, crystal beach destination wedding tacos, sweet baby grilled cheesus and pickled pineapple piggies. They have darts, shuffleboard and get-together games you can take to your table. They've recently started hosting live music on Sundays. The ambiance is definitely divey yet next-level, launching Rocko's into uncharted territory. I'm lucky enough to live nearby but I'd definitely drive from Houston or other burbs just to come here.
