I've been coming to this movie theater since i was little and they have made quiet a few updates since. They now have reclining seats and several 3d/4d/XD options. I recently came, just this week, to watch the newest Avatar film, and it was great! They had several Avatar showings in the same theater that had the movie in 3d and 4d but we just watched the regular movie. The theater itself was clean and the lines weren't crazy long, but we also went mid-day at around 3pm so it could be very different post 5pm. We did get some snacks, which as most movies theaters go, were quite expensive. My only real gripe is that I bought tickets in advance for five people online and the total was $73. The tickets themselves were $11 each but then they had an online fee (i think it was around another $11) on top of taxes which I thought was a little silly. If we had tried to buy the tickets in person to avoid the fee, we likely wouldn't have been able to watch the film bc of how popular it is. read more

Last night was my first time seeing a movie at Cinemark 18 and XD. My favorite part about this theater is the grand set of stairs leading up to the entrance. They offer a great vantage point in the parking lot, allowing you to easily spot the person you're waiting for, and making it easy for them to spot you. The theater was clean, lines weren't too long. Greeters and ticket scanners were kind, efficient and a little silly, wanting to make you laugh. I always appreciate the kindness and cheer of others, especially around the holidays. We didn't get any snacks, having just eaten dinner down the street at El Tiempo, but the concession lines were short and seemed to movev quickly. The theater also served alcohol for you adults who may be interested. This theater has D-Box, motion-enabled seats that are synchronized to the movie as well as more standard auditoriums. We were in a 3D auditorium without D-Box. All seats are luxury lounge recliners. We watched Wicked For Good, which was showing in multiple auditoriums. It was a great movie night and this is a theater I would recommend to others and to which I look forward to returning. read more

Nice & clean theater. We took the grandkids to see GOAT! Theater 18. Hardly anyone in there on a late Monday afternoon. Cute movie. It's in a strip mall but is very big inside and nice selection of snacks!! The reclining seats were roomy and very comfy! I forgot to ask if they offer Senior discount. I was treated by my daughter but could have helped on price. I didn't know they had free popcorn refills. I read this on another review so it would help the staff would advise us. My person overfilled our drinks and we had to ask her to correct that and we had to clean our drinks. She wasn't too nice about it or apologize whatsoever. I still gave 5 stars for the movie experience. Birthday girl was happy! read more

I've been coming to Cinemark 18 and XD for years even back when I used to work here and I've always loved the experience. The recent upgrades to the reclining seats and enhanced sound systems have taken the theater to a whole new level. Super comfortable, great visuals, and immersive audio it really feels like a premium movie experience now. A few months ago, I did have a not so great experience when I saw rats coming from under my seat eating leftover popcorn. I let management know right away, and they were understanding. They gave me free passes and said they would be bringing in an exterminator. This was my first time back since then, and I'm happy to report that everything went smoothly. I came to see Jurassic World: Rebirth (great movie long but worth it lol), and the theater was clean, comfortable, and totally pest free. Looks like they handled the situation, and I appreciate that they took the complaint seriously. I don't want nothing crawling up my leg trying to enjoy a movie lol. Seriously though. In all glad to be back at my favorite theater, it's looking and feeling better than ever! read more

I had no idea that Cinemarks came this huge. I grew up watching movies at the Pearland location, but this was the closest one that offered a showing for Ne Zha 2. The massive lobby and spacious halls almost feel overbuilt for the amount of customer traffic. There are endless choices of ridiculously priced snacks; a medium popcorn cost me $8 -- hilarious, but the tickets only cost $10 each so I looked the other way. Their XD movie experience feels satisfactory. It didn't blow me away, but it does a good job at immersing the viewer in the movie. I wish the seats reclined a bit more though. They stop at roughly 100-110 degrees. Bathroom smelled a little odd, but clean overall. Looks like some previous reviews mentioned hygiene issues but I didn't notice anything glaring today. I wouldn't mind returning to this Cinemark. read more

I visited the movie theater and observed an older gentleman viewing inappropriate videos on his phone without discretion or consideration for others. I reported the incident to customer service; however, I only received a refund, and he was merely issued a warning. The situation warranted a more appropriate response and the enforcement of legal measures. read more

I went to see the new Conjuring: the last rites movie, and about an hour in, someone down the row shouted, "There's a rat!" Fifteen minutes later, three people jumped up and ran out. I looked down the row and saw a rat scurrying across the seats toward me and my friend. At that point, we were more frightened by the rat than the movie itself and decided it was time to leave. As we were walking down the stairs to exit, another rat ran right across my foot toward the front row. While we did receive free movie passes, all we really wanted was to see the end of the film. This was definitely not the experience I had in mind for a visit to one of my favorite theaters! Something definitely needs to change! All in all 2 rats maybe more and didn't even get to enjoy the movie:( read more

Overall a pretty good place to see a movie. It has big giant screens and nice seats. I would definitely watch something on one of the XD screens and if it's action packed then splurge for the DBOX. They have a large selection of snacks but like most theaters now, quite pricey. Still a good place for a date night but probably better going a little earlier in the day. read more

This theater has a great location and has all the modern amenities you would expect in a theater. It is well maintained and clean. There aren't a lot of long lines to get tickets or for food due to options to order tickets in advance and order food. I've been to this Cinemark-Webster location several times. The temperature in the theaters is comfortable. The chairs recline and are very comfortable. More importantly, seats are reserved. These are all positives. Sadly, the negatives far outweigh the positives. First, the online fees for buying tickets are exorbitant. They charge you MORE for buying ahead online than they would at the window. They "wave" the fees if you join their movie club. That's hogwash. I shouldn't have to join a movie club in order to avoid a fee. Furthermore, we were there for a matinee and yet the place was already a pigsty. It didn't seem like there was anyone in charge in the entire theater. It was full of teenage employees who were either on their phone or just standing around. The ones working the consession stand were friendly but the stand itself was a total disaster. What a freaking mess. There were napkins and popcorn and other trash all over the floor. It was pretty sad. I told two employees that were standing around that it needed to be cleaned up but they clearly had a "it's not my job" mentality. Really a sad state of affairs at this theater. I'm beginning to think I'll go elsewhere from now on. A total disgrace. Bottom line - Comfortable chairs and reserved seating. However, high online fees for pre-purchased tickets and a consession stand that needs a thorough cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. One star only because I can leave less. read more

This place has had a rat infestation problem since 2014. It is absolutely disgusting. When I reported my sightings of this, they give you free passes and say we have an exterminator company spray for rodents once a week. Well gee, that has done good. I even filed a compliant with the City of Webster Health department, and they are fully aware of the problem, but refused to shut this place down until they get rid of the rats. I guess it might have to take a certain tv station to come into this place to get something done. Nothing like negative media to turn heads. Cinemark is my jam when it comes to movie theater chains. They have the coolest new technology if you want to see something in high definition with the best sound around. The seats are updated and the most comfy around. This particular location checks all the boxes except customer service. I've been here on numerous occasions and always get the same, uninterested employees. It is what it is. This is one of those places that can get away with subpar customer service because there's minimal interaction. Cinemark 18 has been the main movie theatre in the Webster/Clear Lake area for as long as I can remember. Throughout the years, they've made upgrades here and there, which has kept this theatre at the average. Nothing about this theatre will WOW you, but nothing about this theatre is terrible either. The newer XD screens and luxury lounger seats are nice and a lot more comfortable than the older models. Cleanliness is a hit or miss though depending on when you come. To make the most of your experience though, try their Cinemark app as it's the easiest way to book your seats for a movie, check other showtimes, and get nice discounts on popcorn/drinks. I also recommend coming on Tuesdays, as that's Cinemark discount day all day! Enjoy the newest movies as soon as they premiere at midnight, or come to special showings of different things sponsored by fathom events. read more

I like this theater. Like.....it's nice. Yeah. They got popcorn. They got soda, if ya like that sorta thing. Ok but now for real, this theater is good. It's got all the modern amenities you'd expect from large theaters nowadays. When you enter you'll find two touchscreen kiosks you can purchase tickers from. Or you can just walk up to the counter and speak with an actual person to buy some tickets to a movie. If you purchased tickets online you can walk up to that same counter with a person standing behind it and get the barcode scanned on your phone and said person will print the tickets up for you. Good times. Every time I go here I am reminded (Yes I forget every time) that every seat in these theaters is a good seat. Because of how they have their nice recliner cushioned seats arranged. I'll try and remember that one of these times. I buy tickets online sometimes and I'm often wondering what seat to get since the ones in the middle are often already purchased quickly. I always come to this cinemark, and things are usually ok, but tonight was awful. The dudes at the concession stand chatting were rude, then when i got to my seats they were covered in popcorn and the cupholders still full of trash. This was right at the start time for the movie I saw, so it's obvious it was all left over from the previous movie and nobody is cleaning anything. Pretty disgusting and subpar service. read more

This theater is understaffed and filthy. We saw an early movie so I can imagine it gets worse through the day. The food selection is only junk food (pizza, popcorn, candy). The reclining seats lift your feet up, but the backrest hardly reclines, putting your neck in an uncomfortable position. The chair to my left and right was broken and made pooping noise when they tried to adjust it. Pre-movie they play a bunch of ads. It's like watching over the air tv, but only the commercials. Overall, I can't justify watching a movie here vs my own home. This wasn't a good experience. Two stars because the movie played and was visible on a big screen. Sound worked. read more
