Outside ticket kiosks don't work so you have to buy tickets inside, at the concession area. You can order tickets and concessions online ahead of time but you still have to wait to get your food in a separate line. The whole process is very slow so add in extra time. The theater seems kind of old and not super clean. The heated reclining seats work so that's a plus!

My theater of choice in Charlotte. Popcorn is great and you can add your own butter. They have Dolby, IMAX, and 3D screens. The app is very convenient for pre-ordering tickets and concessions. Seats are clean, comfy recliners.

I'm a lover of movies and I am so glad we are able to get back to watching them in theaters, but the attention to detail has changed for the AMC brand. The Northlake location is ideal for a quick movie after a day of shopping or one of those "Dinner & a Movie nights! We often visit the movies on Saturday or Sunday morning when its a little quieter and I would recommend the same if you don't care for the teen or late night crowd. This visit, we went in the evening as we figured there wouldn't be many people seeing the movie we were looking to see at that time. If you are going to go to the movies, why not have the full movie experience with snacks and all? As the menu at AMC is growing, it is important to make sure you have the items listed on the menu and/or have a way to notate you are out. I had my eye on one thing and that was the Bavarian Pretzel... they did not have any ready to prepare (the exact response was, "We have some in the freeze, but don't plan to thaw them out tonight!" The issue lies with the customer service as they provided no alternative or apology, which should be the goal. I do believe this is an opportunity for the staff to be more customer oriented so they would want to come back and not leave disappointed. So because I have had the pretzel before, let me share the goodness! The Bavarian Pretzel is the size of a medium pizza but taste just as great as a New York style pretzel. You get the option of having nacho cheese and spicy mustard for dipping... so good! It is has a tight outer layer, but soft and lovely on the instead. You'll probably eat 1 or 2 portions during the movie, but have to take the rest home; is a meal for two days lol! I would try one if you can get one. All in all I would recommend visiting this location to see one of the newest films, ideally during the day if you can. The menus has many options, the seats are comfortable and place is clean.

Had a great date night with my wife! It's amazing to see everyone getting back to seeing movies and enjoying the night out during the week, and nothing like Top Gun Maverick to kick off summer!! Friendly workers, clean theater, the sound the rumbled through your body. Everything you honestly expect for the price you pay now days :) however with the right movie and person worth it!

There's ample parking outside and the theater is around the back side of Northlake mall. Super easy to get to. I like this theater because it's very clean. I enjoy the coke free style machines. Yes , I'm all about some Coke Zero! The downfall of this theater is that it is in need of some upgrades. It would be great if it had reclining leather chairs like the other AMC on south boulevard. This is a nice theater but that's the reason I give it four stars in stead of five. Make sure you sign up for the free stubs rewards card. I use the app on my phone. You earn free rewards at all AMC theaters for all purchases. There's also a bar at this location as well. Super expensive alcohol but so are all of the concessions. Pretty standard at any movie theater. Enjoy your movie!

My friend and I watched "The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard" and really enjoyed this theater. The seats recline back and are heated. My friend's seat didn't heat up which was kind of disappointing but everything else was fine. The popcorn was good/fresh. It would have been nice if the bar was open but I think it was shut down because of COVID restrictions. The theater was clean and wasn't crowded, which means we were comfortably spread out. I'd go back to this theater.

This theater is fine. I actually enjoy going to Concord more but this one is closer to my house. They do offer a bar of you want to have a drink. I believe they have Carmel popcorn and I love Carmel popcorn but not this kind. It's the dark sorta burnt tasting kind. But many people do enjoy that flavor. I enjoy the IMAX theater as you can select your seat ahead of time. The bathrooms are okay and somewhat clean, but not the best. I enjoy seeing Tinsley. He welcomes me with a smile each time.

AMC north lake is the best theatre around. It's the only one we go to in the Charlotte area.

Very slow and un-organized and trash everywhere. It took them 20 minutes to make more popcorn.

I was looking forward to enjoying a nice, peaceful movie night--just escaping into a different world for a couple of hours. At first, everything felt perfect. The screen lit up, the sound filled the room, and I became immersed in the story. The audience around me was quiet and respectful, which made the experience even better. A good theater environment allows you to forget about everything else and focus completely on the film. However, not long after the movie started, loud cultural music began playing in the theater room next to ours. It sounded like there was a celebration or a special screening happening, with energetic songs and heavy bass. While I respect and appreciate cultural music and events, the volume was so loud that it carried straight through the walls and into our theater. During quiet scenes, the bass thumped loudly, and the music overlapped with the dialogue on screen. The biggest issue was that the rooms clearly were not soundproof. Instead of thick, insulated walls blocking outside noise, it felt like only a thin barrier separated the theaters. Every beat and rhythm echoed into our space, making it difficult to concentrate. Movie theaters are designed to create an immersive experience, but without proper soundproofing, that experience is easily disrupted. As the movie continued, I found myself more distracted than entertained. Important emotional moments were interrupted by sudden bursts of music from next door. Other people in the theater shifted in their seats, and a few even looked around in frustration. The peaceful atmosphere that makes movie nights enjoyable had completely disappeared. In the end, what was supposed to be a lovely, relaxing evening turned into a disappointing experience. While the event in the other room may have been meaningful for those attending, the lack of soundproofing between theaters showed poor planning and consideration. A movie theater should provide an escape from outside noise, and without proper sound insulation, that magic is lost.

We bought our tickets online ahead of time--super quick, easy process, and we got to pick our seats in advance (huge bonus). I grew up loving this movie, so getting to relive it on the big screen as an adult felt like such a nostalgic treat. The parking lot was packed when we arrived (we love to see people show up!), but the check-in line moved quickly, most people had also purchased tickets ahead of time. We were hungry and decided to split a fried chicken wrap with fries, which came out to around $12. Pretty reasonable for theater food! Something that really stood out? This Cinemark serves craft beer. We didn't grab any drinks this time, but we definitely scoped out the menu for our next visit. We even saw folks walking around with giant 24 oz pours--respect. The theater itself was super comfortable. Reclining chairs, a great view of the screen even in a full house, and an overall cozy vibe. Our food was delivered to the theater, and we just picked it up from the side area without missing a minute of the movie. That convenience alone is a win. Watching Lilo & Stitch in that setting felt special without breaking the bank. We laughed, reminisced, and had a great time. Big shoutout to Cinemark for the smooth experience and that unbeatable $6 Tuesday deal. We'll definitely be back and next time, we're bringing friends (and trying the beer!).
