The fries were amazing. Somehow the waffle fries managed to stay crisp under all the cheese. There is a lot of cheese, which I loved. Cheese is my friend. I like spicy so I put their hot sauce on top of the fries and then I also got a side of ranch. Bring on the calories! I got the double patty White Trash Burger. It was definitely overcooked for my tastes. I like my burgers medium and this was well done. I also wish there was more ranch and more flavor. However, I ate the entire thing. I've heard about Pinky's for several years, but I've never been visited. It was a very pleasant visit and I will be back. The customer service was good. The workers are very friendly and very attentive to what we needed. If I needed something, I did not have to wait for a long period of time for them to bring it to the table which I greatly appreciated. I ordered two fish tacos, which came with a side of black beans as well as the crab hush puppies. All of the food was very good and fresh! The fish tacos were very, very big and I liked the coleslaw and sauce that was on the top. It added a nice texture to the tacos. The fish was very crispy and it was well balanced throughout the taco. I only finished one of the tacos while I was there because they were that big! The black beans tasted like they had some type of neckbones or something smoky in it, but there was no meat in them at all. Delicioso!! My only gripe is that the side of black beans was very small. Nonetheless, it is something that I would go back for. The crab hush puppies were very good. The hush puppies were not dry, but they were moist and the crab melted in very nicely with the hush puppy mixture. I ordered eight and I promise you that I could eat a whole 12 or 16 of them by myself lol My guest ordered a patio margarita which was about seven dollars and said it was good and boozy. We came with friends after a soccer game at RBP. It was their first time so I asked to sit in the volcano room. We ordered crab puppies as a starter. For dinner Jacob ordered popcorn chicken and waffle fries, Brody ordered kick'n chicken tacos (3), Michelle ordered Korean pork tacos and I ordered the ribeye sandwich with fried squash. The crab pups were a good start with tartar sauce: Brody ate his tacos fast and he was full of compliments about his meal. Michelle enjoyed the honey cilantro slaw on her tacos. My ribeye sammich was tender and tasty and the fried squash was great with ranch. After dinner the boys decided to try their banana pudding that came with 4 spoons and piled high. Nice spot for decent, standard lunch fare. I came here the other day for lunch, trying out a bunch of spots in the area. I tried the pimento cheese fried wontons and then ordered a salmon caesar salad wrap with a side of onion strings for my entree. I honestly was not super impressed with the cheese wontons. Just a little small/skimpy and more greasy than flavorful. I did like the wrap though, and it was a huge portion. I only had half and saved the rest for later. The onion rings were good too, stringy crispy. They did not come with a sauce though, so I asked for a side of ranch. Ambience wise, this is definitely a place with character - funky decorations, tiki-style hut seating, and a loud/immersive storm(?) experience, very reminiscent of the rainforest cafe. The restaurant has bar vibes such as playing clubby music (like Lil Wayne) and has a pub feel with the decor and style of the inside. The staff were all super friendly and attentive. We had a great time here. It's as fun as can be with the Tiki themed everything, the volcano erupting (on screen) and the lights dimming when it does. I love the vibe. The food is delicious, too. The cheeseburger was delicious. The hot dogs are delicious. I wish there was another type of fry besides waffle, but they have chips and fried squash and those were tasty subs. I never got any sort of notification that my order was ready, so got there around the 15min mark and figured if I was early I was fine to wait. I got there and the place looked deserted...(it was a little later in the night, but during business hours) and there was nobody at the hostess stand (which is where I surmised I'd pick up my order cuz there were bags of food on a stand behind the counter). Stood there for a bit and nobody came or acknowledged my existence, so I went through the restaurant to the back of the bar where I finally encountered someone (the bartender). Its been a couple of years since i have been here and the quality has gone down hill. I got the Asian pork burger because it was featured on diner and drive-ins. First of all the pattys where broken when it came to my table. There was no binder holding the patty together. It was a pile of small broken pieces of meat in between buns. There was a very strong ginger taste that was over powering the burger, could not taste anything but ginger. I could not finish it only took 3 bites. I was there at 7pm it is now 10:30pm and I am still belching up the ginger or what ever the flavor they added to this. Do not get this burger. Only thing good about this meal was the house chips. Great food, great service, what more can you ask for?? The menu offers a wide variety of unique options. Which can make it hard to decide which route to take but never a bad problem to have. The vibe is causal and unique in a way that has to be experienced to understand. All in all, a great option when out to eat and I can't wait to try it again. Service was top notch. We never waited around to order or get refills. The waitresses seem to all work together to cover the tables which makes sure guests get taken care of from the time they sit down until they cash out. They actually yell out the status of the table to each other as they all constantly go from place to place. No idea how they keep up with it all but they make it look easy somehow. It is quite naturally louder in places like this so you really don't even notice the staff calling out table statuses unless you focus on it. This place seems to run like a well oiled machine and whatever they're doing obviously works. The decor is very eclectic. The main dining area has a tiki hut vibe. There's also tons of random knickknacks all over the walls that gives you plenty to look at while you eat. Definitely a unique look that somehow just makes sense. Even if it includes tiki huts, UFOs, Nascar, Guy Fieri and who knows what else in places I didn't see. It all works perfectly even if it makes no sense why. As for food, we ordered the crab puppies as an appetizer while we studied the menu a bit more. They came out fast and were hot and fresh. I love crab and hush puppies so those were obviously a win. Neither of us are big tarter sauce fans but gave it a shot and actually enjoyed it. It wasn't as horseradish heavy as most and had good flavor that worked well with the crab. 10 out of 10, I would order again. I ended up deciding to go with the Nature Boy burger. Half because of the name, and half because I love a good veggie burger. Loved the bun, it was soft but substantial enough to hold up to the rest of the toppings. They load it up with red onion, so just be aware since red onion can be fairly potent. I removed quite a few to save me from tasting onions for the rest of the day. The burger had great flavor and all the toppings worked well with it. If I wasn't eyeing so many other options on the menu, I would certainly order it again next trip. I had the sweet potato fries with honey mustard as a side but only had a few before I was just too full to go on. The fries and honey mustard were both great. I took them home and plan to have them with my lunch tomorrow. Looking forward to it already :) My husband ordered the Asian Pork burger with waffle fries. It was quite the mess but had so much flavor! Definitely not the prettiest burger you'll ever see, but it tastes dang good. I only had a bite but remember it having somewhat of a curry flavor to it. Yet another item I would order again. The waffle fries were kinda plain but cooked well so if you like those, they're a solid option. With so many other side choices, I would opt for something else but that's just me. I'm already studying the menu some more to plan for the next visit. She politely asked to switch it out, but instead of handling it with a little customer service, the manager came over and told us multiple times that she tasted the wine and thought it was fine. That's not the point my wife didn't like it, and any halfway decent manager would have made it right. To make matters worse, she refused to comp the glass so she could order something else. It wasn't about getting a free drink it was about being treated with basic respect and hospitality. Instead, the manager gave us attitude and made it clear she wasn't interested in making the experience better. Pretty decent restaurant! Apparently was featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" so of COURSE we had to try the featured menu items was that shown! We started with the Greg's Pickles - just sliced deep fried pickles. Nothing special, and comes with a huge vat of ranch to drown each slice. I will say for an appetizer, the serving size is plentiful! We were a party of 3 for lunch that day, and we each had a good size helping of pickle slices. My boyfriend ordered the Viking Corn Dog and the Green Chile Pork sandwich. His friend also got the Green Chile Pork sandwich and the Reuben Dog. Both said the sandwich was ok, but not enough meat nor flavor - too much bun. The Viking Corn Dog is just a normal corn dog, and the Reuben Dog was all sauerkraut. Neither of them said they would reorder their menu options, but would elect for something else should we ever find ourselves back there again. I had ordered the Asian Pork Burger (as a double) with pineapple. When one of our servers gave the guys their sandwiches, she explained she served mine to another table, so the kitchen is working as fast as they can to get me my order. They were kind enough to take my order off the bill for their mistake. We ordered a side of fries for me to snack on while I waited. Once I finally got my burger, I was underwhelmed. The Korean BBQ sauce was not enough to salvage the dry pork patties. The cilantro-honey slaw was as bland as "normal" coleslaw. The bun got soggy quick and I ended up picking the burger apart and eating it in pieces.. was decent but wouldnt order it again. Id come back to try again, but other menu options.
