I entered on a Tuesday afternoon and it was relatively empty. Staff just looked at me like: "Who the hell is this guy?" I left. 3. Last night, which was a Wednesday. It was very odd because the light crowd made it feel like a VFW yet there was a bouncer at the door. Huh? Any place that has a bouncer is probably bad news if you just want to chill. I chose to roll with it anyway and when I asked the bartender if they had a drink menu, she placed a small sign in front of me with a QR Code for the menu. This shouldn't be a big deal but this is why I left. I don't go somewhere to have to use my phone. If I want a beer (or wine), I'm there to relax, not work. I was also in a dark corner of the bar, where it's like being trapped in a corner. Btw, there was a drunk guy singing in the bathroom. When at Kickback Jacks all the way in Mooresville, two people mentioned this place to me and how great it was. So, I think this is a "It's me, not you" situation. The place should make sense in theory--it should be enjoyable when you look at it. In reality, it's a no for me. I'll stick to my favorite haunts (and find a new place to add so I have 3.5). All that said, I still might pop in one more time during the day to confirm I don't like it. This review is subjective. Objectively, you might love it. The staff has been outstanding on every visit. In particular, the management has been engaging and attentive upon arrival and throughout our meals. The food has been above average to good regularly. I particularly like their Food Truck Chicken & Rice but have tried numerous items from the menu with mostly thumbs-up outcomes. I absolutely *love* the mini croissants that are served with the salads. I was disappointed by the Jacked Up Chicken but management made and right and removed it from our check to my pleasant surprise. We have also been here for music bingo and trivia nights. Both were a bonus entertainment for our meal. Overall, I would readily recommend this establishment for casual fare and atmosphere.
