Customer service is horrible. Went in for a show and my experience was very poor. I wouldn't waste time or money at this theater. They have dirty bathrooms and drugs on the floor. I won't be coming back here and you've lost a customer forever.

Coming from the entertainment capital Los Angeles, having seen movies in the best AMC theaters in Burbank. And coming here. DAMN! Where am I? No offense but I am not sure people here even know what a real movie experience is. This AMC stands no chance in-front of "AMC Burbank 16". Well getting back from past to the present. This AMC is in a complex with grocery stores & eateries around. Ample of parking space available. The most odd & uncomfortable part about the theater is that they have Restrooms on the the first floor & all the screens on the ground floor. How conveniently inconvenient. This is the only AMC nearest to us since we moved. So thats there.

Woot woot, I have to admit, this movie theater has gone through some pretty gnarly renovation and is now rocking some cool features. Most prominent feature of this place - ample parking spots and comfy reclining seats! For those who may have visited this place many years ago, gone are the creaky, sticky, and noisy chairs. Everything is much cleaner and nicer and overall, this is a nice alternative theater to watch if Regal at Northgate is too full. As mentioned in other reviews, this place takes seat reservations when purchasing a ticket. It's not a big hassle and overall, you can at least get a sense of where you're sitting and if you run late, your seat is already saved and such. Tip - There is a tasty place next door (Fun DJ) that serves some yummy milk tea if you want to kill time there while waiting for your movie to start.

Reviews mention serving food if this is true what's on the menu?.

Nothing too great. Last time I was there, they had "gourmet" hot dogs, like chili dogs or sauerkraut, pan pizza, and chicken strips. The AMC near me has also added bacon mac and cheese, but I'm not sure they have that at the Oak Tree.

I was told to go to their booth on the 2nd floor. I was able to talk with a very nice lady manager who looked into the Lost and Found Drawer. Unfortunately it was not there. She offered to assist with a flashlight once the film was finished. She said that wallets often slip, out of pockets into the side of the chairs and said someone will be there with a flashlight to help out. As I was leaving she asked me what I was going to purchase and I said peanut M& M's, she went to get me one and said it was complimentary. She made my day, it was a very professional move, often seeing it in great hospitality awareness. Working in Hotel hospitality for 4 decades it is noteworthy that she did that kind act. Often if a guest was checking in and it was their birthday or anniversary, I sent up chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of Champagne, or a small Chocolate Cake, with "Happy Birthday ", written on it. I encouraged my employees to do the same. We could send up $100.00 in floral arrangements, hot tea, with honey, and lemon, and a bowl of Chicken Soup if they were sick. It made my day when I was able to do this, once I found out a couple was going out to dinner in Magnolia celebrating their25 th Anniversary. I arranged our Limo to take them there and pick them up. When you're empowered to resolve guest issues, make their stay memorable, it filled me with joy and happiness, just like that manager made me feel... the power of M&M's!

Even during the homeless days with the Capitol Hill and U District tweens with patchwork jackets and dogs mobbing around in packs this theatre was in good condition. I have over 20 years of memories coming here watching indie movies like Pirana, docuseries to Siff films. I also watched plenty of blockbuster films. My fondest memory is the smell of the popcorn that fills the front space. It is so distinct and the melted butter and grease on my fingers rubbed on my movie ticket is nostalgic. I love the indie vibe of the workers. It was a polite Seattle cool, depending on the era a little emo and punk, with some grunge. The attitude was very U District. I hope this theatre can raise the funds to fix itself up. It is one of my favorites and I hope it doesn't get boarded up. It still has so much life left.

At this point it felt like it's mostly dependent on personal preference so I decided to go in and find out. I thought the place is decent. The biggest attraction is that tickets are probably the cheapest in the area. Regular ticket price is around $16 for Seattle but it's $10 at Varsity (as of December 2023). And you get a dollar off if you're a student. Also you don't even have to buy the student tickets in person because you could just order them online (other places like AMC downtown, you have to go in person). I made sure to bring my student ID in case if they want to check, but it was never checked onsite. I think it's a little more shabby than AMC and other more commercial theaters, but it does its job. The movie started on time and there were no issue throughout the movie. I wish they could just shut off the ads before the screen turns on at starting time because you're facing a blue screen that shows nothing while the ad is blasting. On the other hand, I liked that there aren't that many previews to watch through to get to the actual movie I came to see. The bathroom is two flights up the stairs from the ground floor. It's well kept and smells ok, but they probably have to check the toilet paper inventory more often. By the time I went in, there were no toilet paper left at all so I didn't forget to inform the staff that before leaving. The staff was polite and accepted my remarks in good spirit.

The Audio WAS VERY loud but not OVERWHELMING, I think it is what the director intended, for this film, other films were loud enough. The seating is recliner, cushioned, but not the ELECTRONIC, double recliner, stadium style and cramped, however the seating is well done in arrangement, sitting on the edges does not give u a bad angle. The middle sections for the walk way seating are actually great since there is no wall and there is bars, as well as being a level higher up, this is a great choice for a packed theater. The entire theater was clean enough for a busy week, and the concessions staff were amazing, they helped me out on getting my nacho cheese reheated , and answered the quick questions i asked about showtimes and other things. From what we've tried on the menu, I can recommend the quesadilla, the mac n cheese, the grilled cheese, and the fried chicken. The fries are really good. I've tried several cocktails and the mule is one of my favorites. The servers have always been really pleasant. One time a drink was not delivered that I had ordered but they didn't charge me for it without me having to ask. This movie venue isn't cheap. Tickets are $20 and the food menu isn't discount. The food is pretty good, and when I compare to what I'd pay for dinner and a movie elsewhere, IPIC comes out in that range. Note that they do add an automatic 18% service charge to the bill which isn't boldly stated. I was glad I saw that in another review and thought to look for it myself. The screen and sound are good. I was actually surprised by how nice the entire place is. We ended up going to IPIC because the movie I wanted to watch was no longer playing in any of the other eastside movie theaters except at IPIC. I ended up paying beaucoup bucks, about $40 for two tickets and just sucked it up to watch my favorite movie director's newest flick. But I was easily able to get tickets online and reserve seats, making it super convenient to show up last minute. The seats are bundled in pairs, making it nice to have a date night here. The bundled seats include a table in the middle where your refreshments go. The seats recline and there's even a blanket on every seat. It was very comfortable watching a movie here, making the experience all the more fun. The menu features many different dishes and there's a full bar that you can get from your seat. They also have a bar to hang out in before and after the movie, as well as some games and a pool table. The bathrooms were amazing! Holy crap, I was surprised by how spacious, bright and clean they were. I wouldn't spend money to watch every movie here, but it is nice to have this option at Redmond Town Center.

Unfortunately, the experience was one of the worst I've ever had at a theater. The seating is unbelievably cramped. If you're over 5 feet tall, prepare to be uncomfortable for the entire movie. The seats are small, hard, stiff, and offer virtually no legroom. Sitting through a three-hour film felt unbearable. What concerned me even more was how the auditorium is laid out. Once everyone is seated, you're essentially trapped. There are no aisles running through the seating sections, making it extremely difficult for people to get in or out without disrupting entire rows. It genuinely made me wonder what would happen in the event of an emergency evacuation. The concessions didn't make up for it either. The popcorn was stale, and the overall concession experience was disappointing. To make matters worse, seating is first come, first served, so if you want decent seats, you'll need to arrive at least an hour early despite already having purchased tickets. This theater completely overshadowed what should have been an incredible film experience. I would not return, and I would strongly recommend seeing a long movie somewhere with comfortable seating and a better auditorium layout.
