This location is in The Grove, which is on Fairfax near the original farmers market. The problem with AMC Theatres their popcorn is stale. The walk to the theaters is long and the parking is inconvenient. The service is OK I suppose. The ambience is what you expect of a theater, but it could be kept neater. AMC's used to be my go to theaters, but now I prefer another chain, which is the Regal. The chairs are not as comfortable as other theaters. It does not offer a reclining chair. It has a cupholder. No place to put your food. This chain needs a renovation to keep up with other movie theaters. Considering the reason for our visit was for a free screening of one of Anne Hathaway's new movie, Mother Mary, (Devil Wears Prada 2, is the other movie), the cost was just right, however if this were a paid ticket, the $15+ cost to see a movie now plus snacks (large popcorn and drink $18+) can get pricey. Add on the $16.00 parking fee even with validation, then you are looking at $49.00 for one person.

This theatre is always nice to visit !! Very clean and validated parking for 4 hours to $5 flat. Concessions was so friendly and they accepted the coupon. Popcorn was so fresh and delicious!! Seats were also a nice size but not recliner.

Came here to watch Devil Wears Prada 2 with my girlfriends. As far as ease of checking in to the theater, it was pretty fast, especially since we booked the tickets ahead of time. I did appreciate their Devil Wears Prada themed lounge/bar area plus their photo ops areas - booth and staircase. So movie decor promotions were 9/10. As far as the movie theater itself, it seemed like our theatre was older, as the seats didn't recline. I thought reclining seats was standard nowadays. So I'd give the actual theater a 7/10. My friends got some popcorn from the concession stands and the line wasn't too long. We were disappointed that there weren't any more themed popcorn buckets, magazines, sunglasses, nor keychains left, and we came the Sunday of opening weekend. Since it wasn't that busy, I also suggest they clean up the area a bit, as the trash by the butter was overflowing, and were left a bit messy. 6/10 Overall, my friends and I had a good time, especially since it's at The Grove. Lesson learned is to check which exact movie theatre you're getting since reclining chairs are not standard seats there.

This is definitely one of the better AMC theaters in LA! Went there today for Disclosure Day IMAX screening, clean place with friendly staffs and their IMAX, DOLBY & PRIME auditorium has comfy recliners.Restrooms are I'll say moderately clean most of the time. The also have Cheesecake Factory literally next door so that's another plus!

Attended a movie premiere at AMC The Grove 14 and the vibe was everything. The theater is spacious, clean, and feels upscale perfect setting for a premiere night. Bathrooms were clean (because details matter), and the staff was friendly and on point. But let's talk about the real star of the evening the bar. Brendan made one of the best Cadillac margaritas I've had. Smooth, balanced, and exactly what a premiere night calls for. It elevated the whole experience. Popcorn was fresh, drinks were flowing, and the energy was just right. Being located at The Grove makes it even better with upscale shops, great restaurants, and a whole make a night of it atmosphere. Dinner, glam, premiere, cocktails done. If you're in the area and want a movie night that feels a little extra, this is your spot.

First time at The Grove--it's like a mini Universal City Walk with a pedestrian friendly shopping and lots of holiday festive decor. The parking lot is a crazy maze so drive slowly and carefully. Even with validation inside the AMC theater, you'll still owe $5 so be sure to pay at the machines on each floor before leaving in the car. Super fun time here with the family, watching No Other Choice in Korean with English subtitles. Seats don't recline but they are comfortable enough for watching a two hours plus movie. About 25 minutes of commercials and previews before the movie starts.

Early preview, omg this movie was sooo GOOD!

AMC always gives a great movie experience. On date night for me and my hunny, we came here for an early premiere showing for the movie Primate! I enjoyed the heated reclining seats. The theater is comfortable and specious. We're reward members so we always get a large popcorn refill on the way out. Overall great theater and this location is right in the heart of the Grove so, you can always grab dinner and drinks before or after your movie.

Filthiest popcorn station. How is this okay?
    Justin K.

I'm honestly shocked at how rough this AMC location is. The bathrooms were the filthiest I've ever seen at a movie theater. Lot's of trash everywhere, floors sticky, and zero upkeep. The popcorn station wasn't any better... it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in hours (photo attached). Having a stubs membership, I'm so happy to learn that this isn't my go-to theater. Came here for a showing that was only playing here tonight (Marty Supreme). Saw this movie in the Prime theater expecting comfort, but those seats were stiff and awkward, definitely not worth an upgrade ticket. However, screen is larger than normal. For a spot in such a popular location like The Grove,, you'd think the standards would be way higher. Major letdown. Happy to report my choice of AMC theaters are in Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga.

Went here just for this screening with a Q&A. It's great that the GROVE AMC has multiple events like this. Probably something we've missed since the pandemic. Back then, it was always at the Arclight in Hollywood. The Grove location is perfect for shopping, eating and of course watching a film. Lots of screens/films to choose from mixed with mainstream and independent films. The place is clean, chairs are comfortable and the quality of the screen/sound system was great.

    Prisma ..

I usually take a stroll here but when I don't I keep in mind that it's $5 for the first 4 hours with VALIDATION.

AMC (at) The Grove 14 is one I'm diggin. It's definitely stepping it's game up much like it's fraternal twin location (AMC The Americana at Brand 18 in Glendale, CA), but maybe even more so in the new year... Having converted from Pacific Theaters in years prior this movie theater in the heart of the iconic Grove LA is shining in a brighter way. Dolby Cinema in theater 2 is true and blue. Prime theater in number 3, we'll be back to see something in you! And a bevy of Laser at AMC theaters for a quality experience that is American Multi-Cinema true! AMC recently added a feature that allows you to add a profile picture so you no longer have to pull out your ID to match up your ticket to your A-List Stubs movie tickets #WinningAtAMC #MakeSureYourAddYourPic The concessions is significantly more stylish than before, as are the Coca-Cola Freestyle beverage dispensers and MacGuffins Bar. Extra clean and pristine restrooms, hallwalls and floors with a full crew ready to tidy up after each show (I have no idea why people don't pick up their trash to make life a little easier for others). There wasn't much of a line at a 11:40am showing, but I've been here only a half handful of times since the change over from P.T. to AMC. The Laser theaters don't have reclining chairs but they have very plush new seats with a slight recline/rock and a really good amount of legroom. Seeing A Minecraft movie after a little retail therapy post check-up at my primary doctors nearby was a great treat. All the AMC staff I interacted with were personably, thoughtful, polite and courtesy. Parking is validated up to 4 hrs for The Grove ($5) versus The Original Farmer's Market (First 90 minutes free OR 2 hours free with validation from select grocers and then $3 to $5 for every additional $15 minutes). Ride share is very convenient as is public transit, which I typically take over to this side of ton and/or the Grove unless I'm with a friend, bae, family or those rare occasions I drive and brave the Fairfax/Beverly Grove/Miracle Mile L.A. traffic. AMC - The Grove 14 opens typically around 930 am as they have show times as early at 10am and as late as 11:30pm.

While enjoying a day at The Grove, walking on high hills, we decided to watch a movie while resting our feet. This location offers liquor for those who want a drink with their entertainment. Most AMC theatres appear to be similar to one another. The inside is clean, has comfortable seats, and has good sound effect speakers. It was a fun day. Good AMC location to enjoy a movie.

    Line for parking validation
    Joel C.

Why is there only one place to validate your parking? As big as this place is. Taking an extra 10 min to get out of here is wild.

My son has been wanting to see Devil Wears Prada 2 and the first one is one of his favorite movies of all time. Personally, I don't like that movie but I went along with him. Tickets are $25 each and they have a $4 parking garage, but we were lucky enough to get a free after-hour meter on the street. It's a nice place and it seems like comfort is their top priority. The recliner chairs are extremely comfy and come with a blanket in case you get cold. You know how movie theaters are always chilly. Once you get settled, you can press a button that sends an employee over to take your order. It's completely optional. We got one small popcorn (light butter, $6) which was big enough for both of us. I like this idea of having the option of ordering and dining at your seat while watching a movie, but the reality is a bit different. It's kind of annoying to see the employees coming and going when someone needs a refill or places a new order during the movie. You can hear them talking and they can even block your view. It's frustrating when you are trying to focus. With that being said, I think it has more pros than cons. There are bars and bathrooms located across the several floors and the one we went to was exceptionally clean. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back to this theatre. I prefer something more standard like AMC or Pacific Theatres (RIP!)...

Last week, we attended a showing of Toy Story 5 at the theater. We learned that not only is the new ownership not offering food service during the transition but intends to abandon that amenity altogether. This is among the most foolish decisions that could be made from a business perspective and will undoubtedly result in a total loss on the owners' investment. The building has a gigantic kitchen going to waste. The screens are small, and the ticket prices are high. The sole reason people have chosen this theater over the numerous options (e.g. Century City AMC) is its special quality of in-theater dining and expanded, up-scale fare. It is absurd that the owners are trying to spin this as an improvement, claiming this unique feature has been "retired in favor of elevated food & beverage offerings -- designed to enhance your cinematic experience by reducing service-related noise, light and other distractions." No amount of polishing to the menu at the tavern will offset the loss of clientele brought on by the abandonment of the in-theater dining option. The owners need only look to the onslaught of terrible reviews streaming in across Yelp and Google or the consensus of complaints in the Reddit community to understand the extent to which this misguided approach will devalue their investment. They will certainly be losing our business until this irrational new approach is reversed.

The seats are the only downside, since they're traditional fabric, pretty rigid, and aren't tall enough to act as more than a back rest for many people. When we got to the top, we were asked to fill out a waiver on our phones--super quick and easy, but honestly something that could've been done earlier when buying tickets online. Parking in the area was $20 at a lot across the street. Not terrible for a Friday night in LA, but still worth mentioning. Your ticket includes skate rental and one drink, so we grabbed a Paloma (the other option was not available) which hit the spot. Unfortunately, the skating surface was a bit of a letdown--treaded hard plastic mats that didn't offer a smooth ride. It took a lot of effort to move and wasn't beginner-friendly. Plus there was a tricky spot that tripped up more than a few skaters. The biggest surprise was the low energy overall--music was pretty quiet, and the vibe felt more relaxed than festive. You have to let your eyes adjust because it's quite dim inside, but adorned with lots of colorful lighting. It's usually reservation only but I called ahead to see if they had availability for us to pop in and luckily they had room for us. Everyone here is so friendly and seems to love what they do. Our bartender was Shane and he was wonderful and really made our experience memorable. Zeke was the other bartender who was great as well. We ordered a Painkiller and a Captain's Inner Circle. Each drink comes in its own unique cup/glass and has such a fun presentation. The painkiller was presented to us with some fire elements and the captain's inner circle was hilarious - they ring a bell and all the workers join in on saying you're a part of the inner circle. Now the taste. Both of the drinks were delicious! We love a painkiller and this one definitely didn't disappoint, it totally hit the spot. I also loved the inner circle drink, it was coconutty and had fruity elements like apricot in it. There are so many drinks on their menu, we wish we could try them all! We'll have to come back next time to try more. They also have food but we didn't have time to try any dishes this time.
