Last visit, 05-20-26. I went for the movie screening for the new film "Passenger". Self- Parking is $5 for each hour (1-3). Each additional 30 mins is $2. Just a heads up. I arrived around 4:40p and left around 9/9:30p the latest. Wasn't a long line nor was it a long wait while waiting in line. The even staff were friendly and professional. A backdrop was set up for pics. They also had a green screen set up so guests could take a pic and be digitally placed in a scene of the movie. I thought that was cool. They also offered free popcorn with a fountain drink. Ordered a "Ginger Margarita" at the bar before entering the theater. It was about $21 for cocktail. Wish I would've purchased the "Cutwater" instead. For $10 or $11 it would've been better sipping on that than the 21oz or 24 oz drink. Being that they fill the cup with ice, you're not getting as much of a drink as you think. Didn't have any issues getting thru and having my wristband checked. Was able to just walk on thru. The theater I was in was clean. Found a comfortable seat up top. The movie was better than I expected. The theater itself is really nice. I would come back. read more

the vibes here are pretty bad - people don't really respect watching a movie in public. someone is always kicking my seat from behind and there's a crying baby who clearly isn't old enough to understand the movie. the seat is also not comfortable. it feels like sitting in economy on a plane and the worst part is i can't get up to stretch my legs or my butt because it was going numb after the first hour and a half. not a fan of this theatre and would avoid it at all cost. ended up paying $25 for parking after validation which is the price of another movie ticket! however amc staff did compensate my poor experience with a free ticket for a future movie so will try my luck at a different amc. read more

I was here for the 10:30 PM movie, and I just have to say that Carrie at the concession stand completely made the experience even better. From the moment we walked up, she greeted us with the warmest smile and such genuine kindness that it instantly stood out. Her customer service exceeded every expectation and made us feel truly welcomed and appreciated. Carrie was friendly, patient, professional, and had such a positive attitude the entire time. You can tell she genuinely cares about the customers she interacts with, and that kind of energy is rare to find nowadays. She turned what would normally be a simple concession stand interaction into something memorable. Honestly, employees like Carrie are the reason people come back. Great customer service leaves a lasting impression, and she absolutely deserves recognition for how amazing she was tonight. I actually really love this location, the building, the classic feel inside here. But I have to...have to mention what happened to us last time we came in. Before I wrote this review, I actually saw another couple of people who mentioned similar experiences to mine, so I write this in hopes that it helps the team figure out how to better police it. My wife and I came in for a recent showing about a week ago, and we got in a little early. Somebody was already sitting in my wife's seat, so I had to ask him to move (not a big deal overall). So we sat in the correct spot after that confusion was cleared up. Right before the showing started, another guy - the guy immediately to my left, just started talking loudly in the theater, evidently complaining about having to get up and walk past people for him to go to the restroom. Apparently, he had been told the seats at the end of the row were full by AMC, and so he picked the middle seat and hated the inconvenience. Anyway, when he got back, he continued talking throughout, and it was tough to actually watch the movie. The wrong-seat sitting guy also got on his phone for an actual phone call 2/3 of the way through the film for like 5 minutes. What a mess. Anyway, this never happens to me in my Burbank AMC's, so maybe there's something that can be done to fix this. read more

Theater lobby looks great but theaters themselves are run down if you're in one of the older ones. Seats aren't too comfortable and cup holders are the old types with the hole on the bottom which makes it feel like your drink will slip through. This location is in The Grove, which is on Fairfax near the original farmers market. The problem with AMC Theatres their popcorn is stale. The walk to the theaters is long and the parking is inconvenient. The service is OK I suppose. The ambience is what you expect of a theater, but it could be kept neater. AMC's used to be my go to theaters, but now I prefer another chain, which is the Regal. The chairs are not as comfortable as other theaters. It does not offer a reclining chair. It has a cupholder. No place to put your food. This chain needs a renovation to keep up with other movie theaters. Considering the reason for our visit was for a free screening of one of Anne Hathaway's new movie, Mother Mary, (Devil Wears Prada 2, is the other movie), the cost was just right, however if this were a paid ticket, the $15+ cost to see a movie now plus snacks (large popcorn and drink $18+) can get pricey. Add on the $16.00 parking fee even with validation, then you are looking at $49.00 for one person. read more

Came here to watch Devil Wears Prada 2 with my girlfriends. As far as ease of checking in to the theater, it was pretty fast, especially since we booked the tickets ahead of time. I did appreciate their Devil Wears Prada themed lounge/bar area plus their photo ops areas - booth and staircase. So movie decor promotions were 9/10. As far as the movie theater itself, it seemed like our theatre was older, as the seats didn't recline. I thought reclining seats was standard nowadays. So I'd give the actual theater a 7/10. My friends got some popcorn from the concession stands and the line wasn't too long. We were disappointed that there weren't any more themed popcorn buckets, magazines, sunglasses, nor keychains left, and we came the Sunday of opening weekend. Since it wasn't that busy, I also suggest they clean up the area a bit, as the trash by the butter was overflowing, and were left a bit messy. 6/10 Overall, my friends and I had a good time, especially since it's at The Grove. Lesson learned is to check which exact movie theatre you're getting since reclining chairs are not standard seats there. read more

Went there today for Disclosure Day IMAX screening, clean place with friendly staffs and their IMAX, DOLBY & PRIME auditorium has comfy recliners.Restrooms are I'll say moderately clean most of the time.The also have Cheesecake Factory literally next door so that's another plus! read more

First time at The Grove--it's like a mini Universal City Walk with a pedestrian friendly shopping and lots of holiday festive decor. The parking lot is a crazy maze so drive slowly and carefully. Even with validation inside the AMC theater, you'll still owe $5 so be sure to pay at the machines on each floor before leaving in the car. Super fun time here with the family, watching No Other Choice in Korean with English subtitles. Seats don't recline but they are comfortable enough for watching a two hours plus movie. AMC always gives a great movie experience. On date night for me and my hunny, we came here for an early premiere showing for the movie Primate! I enjoyed the heated reclining seats. The theater is comfortable and specious. We're reward members so we always get a large popcorn refill on the way out. Overall great theater and this location is right in the heart of the Grove so, you can always grab dinner and drinks before or after your movie. read more

I'm honestly shocked at how rough this AMC location is. The bathrooms were the filthiest I've ever seen at a movie theater. Lot's of trash everywhere, floors sticky, and zero upkeep. The popcorn station wasn't any better... it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in hours (photo attached). Having a stubs membership, I'm so happy to learn that this isn't my go-to theater. Came here for a showing that was only playing here tonight (Marty Supreme). Saw this movie in the Prime theater expecting comfort, but those seats were stiff and awkward, definitely not worth an upgrade ticket. However, screen is larger than normal. For a spot in such a popular location like The Grove,, you'd think the standards would be way higher. Major letdown. Happy to report my choice of AMC theaters are in Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga. read more

Back then, it was always at the Arclight in Hollywood. The Grove location is perfect for shopping, eating and of course watching a film. This has to be hands down one of the best AMC's in L.A. In the past 3 months I have seen new faces. The New people they are always nice and some of them give you smiles. From the Ushers who will stop and ask if you need help to the people who clean the rest room. They are hand down the best part of AMC. The girl they had this past week as a greeter, I think her name is Mariah. Always answering questions with a smile. I like that they started to not allow outside food. I attended a free movie screening here, courtesy of 1iota. Parking was a bit of a hassle and quite expensive. I recommend parking on a side street for free. The theater itself was very nice and clean. However, during the movie, someone decided to pull the fire alarm, causing us to evacuate. It was quite annoying, but the staff was very orderly in ushering us out. On our way back in, they offered us free entry to any other movie at any AMC theater, which was a very nice gesture! read more

Honestly my least favorite AMC location and sadly the closest one to me. Rick Caruso has made parking five dollars flat no matter what when it used to be free with AMC validation. The construction on the concession stand lasted so long with no notice, so if you booked a ticket online, you went to the theater and had no idea you'd be snacks for the evening, something is always out of order or broken in the bathrooms-- it's just a mess. But I do appreciate the bar with the themed drink drinks. read more

It's definitely stepping it's game up much like it's fraternal twin location (AMC The Americana at Brand 18 in Glendale, CA), but maybe even more so in the new year... Having converted from Pacific Theaters in years prior this movie theater in the heart of the iconic Grove LA is shining in a brighter way. Dolby Cinema in theater 2 is true and blue. Prime theater in number 3, we'll be back to see something in you! And a bevy of Laser at AMC theaters for a quality experience that is American Multi-Cinema true! AMC recently added a feature that allows you to add a profile picture so you no longer have to pull out your ID to match up your ticket to your A-List Stubs movie tickets #WinningAtAMC #MakeSureYourAddYourPic The concessions is significantly more stylish than before, as are the Coca-Cola Freestyle beverage dispensers and MacGuffins Bar. Extra clean and pristine restrooms, hallwalls and floors with a full crew ready to tidy up after each show (I have no idea why people don't pick up their trash to make life a little easier for others). There wasn't much of a line at a 11:40am showing, but I've been here only a half handful of times since the change over from P.T. to AMC. The Laser theaters don't have reclining chairs but they have very plush new seats with a slight recline/rock and a really good amount of legroom. Seeing A Minecraft movie after a little retail therapy post check-up at my primary doctors nearby was a great treat. All the AMC staff I interacted with were personably, thoughtful, polite and courtesy. Parking is validated up to 4 hrs for The Grove ($5) versus The Original Farmer's Market (First 90 minutes free OR 2 hours free with validation from select grocers and then $3 to $5 for every additional $15 minutes). Ride share is very convenient as is public transit, which I typically take over to this side of ton and/or the Grove unless I'm with a friend, bae, family or those rare occasions I drive and brave the Fairfax/Beverly Grove/Miracle Mile L.A. traffic. Validated Parking?! Apparently not, I paid $25 and feel ripped off!! I just came back from watching a 3 1/2 hour movie and I validated my parking ticket at the theatre (no special instructions so I assumed I did it correctly. 4 hour validation for $5 charge). I paid $25 for my theatre ticket and $11 for popcorn. Theatre experience was fine although why do they have only 4 sinks in the women's restroom? I walked around the Grove and got a quick bite for an hour then went to the parking structure and was charged a whopping $25. What the hell? read more

I come here to watch movies about twice a month and there is a very rude (short, Latino man in my photo attached). This group of employees were just standing and joking around, yet this man wouldn't let me walk back in to validate my parking ticket. He wouldn't let me through and told me to go to Barnes and Nobles or Norstrom instead because "there would be no questions asked". I was also at Barnes and Nobles (since I attended a book signing there earlier), but it's Christmas season so the cashier line to get a validation was over 30 minutes long! I'm not going to wait in line for 30 minutes to validate a parking ticket! It would've taken my 10 seconds to just get my parking validation at AMC, which is what I've done in the past! Also, if you're at The Grove for more than 2 hours, B&N validation is invalid anyways. I spoke to The Grove's customer service about this incident later and they made everything better, so it's disgusting how this little man went on power trip and wasted my time last night! read more

We stopped by on a weekday to see the new predator movie on the IMAX screen in 3-D, absolutely amazing! Sometimes watching a 3-D movie can be a little distracting, but for this sci-fi adventure, it was perfect. The 3-D really enhanced all the action and really worked with the giant IMAX format. The seats could recline and we're very comfortable and we enjoyed the entire facility. We had a couple drinks to start off at the MacGuffin's bar and enjoyed just hanging out in the beautiful lobby for a few minutes before the movie. Really enjoyed the new predator and I'm so glad I decided to see it in this Amazing 3-D format. read more

AMC The Grove 14 is one of my favorite cinemas in LA. I grew up in the area and used to come to this location when it was Pacific Theaters. AMC The Grove 14 is usually the cleanest and most updated location. I like the big seats, especially at the Prime and IMAX theaters. I only wish they offered a better variety of food. At least the popcorn is always fresh! I highly recommend signing up for AMC Rewards and Caruso Signature to optimize your experience. You can also earn movies rewards through AMC Rewards. The theater offers parking validation for 4 hours, but you can earn parking rewards through Caruso. Lastly, have a bite at The Original Farmer's Market before your movie. Your stomach will thank you during the movie. read more

My visit to the AMC at The Grove last night was actually my first. While I had been to the one at the Americana, I simply had no reason to go this one. That changed when the film that I wanted to see was only showing at this theatre. Like the AMC at The Americana, all of the theatres have stadium seating. This one also had fully reclining seating which, for me, is great. I find that if I sit for an extended length of time on my tailbone, it eventually starts to hurt. Here I could easily lounge on my side. I ended up buying my ticket at the theatre and found the touch screen interface at the entrance (it was after 10 and had limited employees around). I was pleased to be able to bring up my account and use my credit without signing in. All I needed was my birth year: definite bonus when it comes to easy sign-in. As stated the seats were quite comfortable and the picture quality was very good. I was also glad for the two mid-sized bathrooms just down the hall. You didn't have to hike into the lobby to use the facilities. Definitely another plus. My one major complaint is this: the film I saw was two hours (plus another 30 minutes for previews), yet when I left I was only validated for two hours or less. I still had to pay five dollars for parking despite getting to the lot a mere 15 minutes before the film technically started. Given that parking takes a while (and during the prime business hours can be a hassle), I was disappointed to have to pay at all. The AMC is not cheap, so adding 5 dollars to a 25 dollar ticket was a bit much. Would come again, but not my first choice. read more

I've been coming here for years and it's just such a lovely experience. Especially during the holidays! Not all the decorations were on display yet so looking forward to that! We decided to come see an afternoon matinee of the movie predator Badlands and the movie was excellent. Heartfelt as well as plenty of action and fabulous graphics. A lot of great humor as well. Average price tickets. Pay a little extra and see it in IMAX and 3-D and you won't regret it. We sat a little too close to the screen but still enjoyed it thoroughly. I think in IMAX and 3-D sitting back a little further is practical. We stopped at McGuffin's bar inside the theater lobby for a afternoon cocktail, and the prices are steep, but look at the location. Nice large concession stand with some extra fun nibbles if you're in the mood for ice cream. Very clean theaters and plenty of bathrooms. The seats were amazingly comfortable. Nice big cupholders and they reclined as well. Very plush and soft. I could've taken a nap Lol. Highly recommend. read more

I don't usually like going to The Grove because it's a high-traffic area and always packed with tourists, but I'll happily make the exception for AMC The Grove. As an AMC A-List member, this location has become my go-to theater in LA. The experience here is consistently great. The theaters are clean, the recliner seats are super comfortable, and the reserved seating through the app makes everything easy. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the Dolby Cinema and IMAX screens offer crystal-clear visuals and immersive sound that really elevate any movie. Even with the busy surroundings, once you're inside the theater, it feels like a completely different world--calm, comfortable, and focused on the film. The A-List membership adds even more value, especially if you're seeing multiple movies a month. Despite my usual hesitation about The Grove, AMC has made this theater absolutely worth it. read more

I'm still trying to figure out why this theater is open during renovations are we the audience, or part of the construction experience? We showed up expecting a movie night and instead got survival training. First red flag: no popcorn. At a movie theater!!!!. That's like going to a pool with no water. Then came the beverage situation no fountain drinks, just the sad remains of what I can only describe as archaeological nachos. But the real star of the night? The climate control... or lack of it. The theater felt like it was auditioning to be the surface of the sun. Easily over 100 degrees inside. At one point, I wasn't sure if I was watching the movie or hallucinating it. Sweat was dripping, patience was gone, and honestly, I was rooting for the end credits just so I could escape. If renovations are this intense, maybe take a bold new approach: close the theater until it's actually ready for humans again. read more

This theater is ok for being in the "bougie" area. The grove. The popcorn is usually stale and the seats are super outdated in the regular theaters. What really threw me for loop was the $8 small smart water. This shouldn't be more than $3. Only reason I choose to come here is because I get discounted tickets from work and it's close to home. This review isn't really a reflection of the theatre and its staff, which are great btw, so the 3 stars is little unfair. I JUST NEED TO VENT. We went to see 28 years later last night, which was good but I wasn't expecting a happy ending. My wife nudged me 10 minutes into the movie alerting me to what was happening next to her. I looked over and saw a woman giving her tool of a boyfriend a handjob. I call him a tool because he looked like a poor man's Guy Fieri. Highlights, Hawaiian shirt, shades. And why do you have shades in the theater? Also, why are you getting a handy during a zombie movie - really??? I should've told the staff and made a scene but we just switched seats instead. We saw them on the way out as the woman sheepishly noticed us and scurried away. Later on the drive home, a few miles away on Beverly, who pulls up next to us?? 99 cent store Guy Fieri, driving a beat up old t-bird with the top down. I looked over but managed to avoid eye contact. Why is he following us? Go away! WITAF. Then I got nervous - what if he lived near us? Neighbor? Thankfully he turned into a pollo loco and never popped up again. Still though, I enjoyed the rest of the movie and tried not to think about discount Guy Fieri getting a handy. FML read more

Yesterday, I saw Spider-Man at The Grove. I like the fact that the theater seating doesn't have divider walls. However, the floor underneath my seat was dirty, there was spilled liquid and a strong smell coming from underneath the seat, and there was used gum inside the cup holder. All of this was distracting from the movie and made the overall experience less enjoyable. read more
