A great neighborhood joint. Great drink prices, Cajun food, and community! Def recommend the bayou for a less typical weho experience.

The bayou is a hole-in-the wall bar in West Hollywood. It has the most fun vibe of all the bars in the rainbow district. What it is missing is the pretentiousness of the other mega clubs of the area. It's definitely a bar you don't want to miss if you're visiting from out of town. They have slushies infused with alcohol, beer bongs, Jell-O shot syringes, and a spin the wheel for a drink! And their happy hours are unbeatable. The bathrooms walls are plastered with memes, photos of Britney Spears, Ryan gosling, and others. And when you're visiting they will give you fluorescent paint pens to leave your signature on the wall of the bar! Also, they ask that you "Please don't do coke in the bathroom." Also, there's a dj on Fridays and Saturdays playing an eclectic mix of Beyoncé, Madonna, Taylor swift, Lana del Rey, Lizzo, katy Perry, cardi b, megan d stallion, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, lady Gaga, and many other pop/rap/house hits. The manager's name is Graham and he's a really friendly and comes and talks to all the guests and the bar tenders are all great too. If you're visiting WEHO, do not skip The Bayou.

Very cute hole in the wall bar. Not as packed as the other bars on a Sunday but nice for just a chill place to drink with friends. Very nice staff. Will be coming back next time I'm in town. They didn't put any sauce on the buffalo cauliflower but were nice enough to bring some after I asked . Kinda vinegar like sauce but wasn't terrible . Make sure to come 4-8pm for half off happy hour great deal. A lot of food. Overall great experience.

A small bar with graffiti everywhere. It's kinda cool by all the color and lights. Drinks are pretty cheap here especially happy hours. For the price you get、it's pretty decent and not over priced. Drinks comes out pretty fast as well. Restrooms are not the best. I think it was shared and it smells terrible. But it's a fast bar with cheap drinks、can't expect much. Service on that slow night is meh but at least the drink kinda makes you feel better. Overall 、it's an ok place with good drinks and affordable price. Definitely recommend here if you're looking for some fast/cheap drinks. Great for hangout and getting some drinks to start your night before clubbing. The price here is better than the $14+ drinks everywhere else Haha. Personally felt it's good to come here to start your night before heading elsewhere at WeHo. Just make sure to drink responsibly~ Feel free to check it out.

    Chicken nuggets

Came here with two friends on a Friday night around 7:30PM (during their happy hour). I ordered the Cajun tator tots and the chicken nuggets. A friend ordered the chicken wings, so I got to try those too. The food was decent but nothing really stood out to me. I had the jungle juice for a drink. It wasn't too strong (which is good) and tasted good. As far as the bar itself, it's super small and darkly colored/designed. The bartender was nice. Even though there was nothing bad about my experience I don't quite understand the 4 1/2 star rating. Maybe it's because the drinks are cheaper here than at the surrounding bars(?), but I didn't feel like there was anything particularly special that would make me want to come back. Everything was just ok.

The decor is retro and glitzy and makes you feel like you are stepping back in time into a world of neon. The bartender was very personable and able to keep up with everyone and didn't leave anyone waiting to get a drink. There were some interesting characters day drinking, and it was great people-watching with lots of regulars. The interactions were priceless. The bartender asked a regular if he'd left his helmet, and when he showed it to him, the regular quipped, "My head is bigger." The helmet looked like a kid's size, and the guy did have a small head. It was a funny interaction in a room full of characters, like something out of "A Confederacy of Dunces." The bouncer checking IDs outside, sporting a Santa hat, noticed my wife's upcoming birthday and wished her a happy birthday. It was a really nice touch! Funnily enough, The Infatuation, of all resources, ranked this spot as the top gay bar among the twenty currently in business in WeHo. It's conveniently located a couple of blocks from Hamburger Mary's where we had reservations for the drag show. I know what you're thinking. So predictable. Anyway, we had time for a round before the show. The big black door did not give us an indication of what was inside, but the 1970's art deco font of the bar name did. Inside it felt more like a Studio 54-era lounge with a big rectangular bar in the middle. However, the owners managed to avert tackiness and provide comfy plushness. The period artwork, gray banquettes, and massive amoeba-shaped chandeliers add to the sophisticated ambiance. This was definitely not the typical WeHo club west of La Cienega. There's no dance floor, so you won't hear clunky platform shoes on a rainbow florescent floor. However, you'll likely hear classic Donna Summer or Earth, Wind & Fire wafting through the space. With their black, open-collar shirts and untied sequin bow ties, the bartenders were cute and attentive.
