I recently attended Touchstone Theatre's annual Festival Unbound featuring dance, music, walking…read moretours and socially engaged artistic experiences throughout Bethlehem. What an absolute treat! The events were all unique and extremely well produced. The opening ceremony was held at City Hall and was a wonderful sample of local artists supported by the town mayor. At Ice House I got to experience a new play about affordable housing called "Most Beautiful Home Maybe" which was interactive and very thought provoking. At National Sokols I saw a theatrical wrestling match from LVAC and rock show paired with delicious food from Jenny's Kuali catering (unbelievably delicious!) There were fun pop up story collecting booths throughout the town. Some of my friends attended, and raved about, the historic and artistic walking tours and really got to know the neighborhoods and history. Touchstone itself is also an amazing venue and ensemble theatre company and I look forward to catching a show soon! Congrats to Mary Wright, the Director of Education for curating and directing such a meaningful and impactful festival. Wow!! Absolutely epic experience - I wish every town would invest in community in this way. Outstanding!!

The sound system & screen in the lower 250-seat theatre is certainly nice enough, I've never seen a movie in their smaller (90-seat) theater upstairs. Our movie started right on time, without any commercials whatsoever! That's really odd, and I sometimes look forward to those previews. The bathrooms are easily 70 years old: gigantic 4' high urinals, 1" square tile floors, the faucets in the men's room were separate for hot & cold water, and the one was missing a handle. They have the original silent projector from 1917 on display in the lobby from when the theater first opened. According to the signage, they are one of the oldest purpose-built theaters still in continuous usage. The theater is CASH ONLY.

Parking was free and easy in the attached parking garage but the entrance to the arts center isn't marked (it would be a small and very helpful feature). Parking on level 3 worked as there are steps to a small bridge to the theatre. Definitely planning on another visit.

It was very easy to reserve the tickets online. For sedans, SUVs, trucks, mini vans, it was $16 prior to the processing fee and tax. We reserved tickets for December 24th at 5:30pm. The entrance to Lights in the Parkway is 1700 Martin Luther King Jr Dr. I put Lights In The Parkway(Entrance) in the GPS and it brought us directly there. Also, there were signs leading to the entrance along the way. At first, we showed we had tickets to people directing traffic and then our tickets were scanned at the ticket booth. After that, we were instructed to turn off our headlights and went through the drive-through light display. It took us maybe about 10 minutes to get to the beginning of the lights. There were lighted trees, light tunnels, and animated displays. I can't imagine how long it takes to put up the displays. For the price, this activity was definitely worth it. It is a fun family activity to get in the car, listen to holiday music, and look at the displays. It took us about 30 minutes to go through the whole display. Thankfully we didn't have to wait long to get our tickets scanned. I was worried when I was reading reviews about waiting an hour.

I came to visit DCP Theatre because one of my dear friends was directing a play there, and one of my favorite sequined jackets was making it's theatrical debut in her play. Yes, I gave a big round of applause for that jacket. The theater itself is decently sized, with a large flat gravel parking lot, a cute lobby and comfortable seating. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. The volunteers were to a person friendly and accommodating, and the 'snack bar' of home-made and packaged goods was reasonably priced. It's an older building, which they've been working to restore and upgrade with the funds they earn producing plays, holding raffles, etc. The play itself was funny, well directed (yes I am biased here), and a good pace. It never dragged, the actors were wonderful and I had a great time. I'm looking forward to visiting again soon.

He even went as far as to make us movie popcorn.
