Most of the dishes I had were bland and desperately needed salt. Was really hoping to enjoy some new dishes but am pretty disappointed

Mmmmmmm! This place is absolutely delightful. A true surprise to find this in a food court at the mall. It's run by a local family.

Food it's fresh, heafty serving of fries with the food, and the spices in the tea are so good! Worth the wait for fresh, made to order food.

At last I can finally review this Ethiopian place that I wanted to review after initially coming…read morehere, but I decided to get food from here twice before writing a review. First and foremost, I will have to say that I have been to a lot of different Ethiopian restaurants in multiple states, so it's not a new cuisine to me. That generally says I usually know what I am looking for when coming to an Ethiopian place. Let's just get the basics out of the way, first. The service is incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming and nothing to complain about at all. Ambiance wise, the restaurant is on the smaller side, so seating can be a bit limited especially during busy times, but otherwise it feels like a cozy, intimate setting. The first time I ordered Kitfo and Beef Tibs. The Beef Tibs were not bad, but not special compared to other Ethiopian places I have visited. It had good flavour, but was missing that ooomph! As for the Kitfo, I will have to say that I am a bit disappointed. First of all, Kitfo is usually eaten raw or rare as it is supposed to be a tartare. For some reason, they told me I could not order it raw, and this is the first Ethiopian restaurant of the many I have ever been to that have told me that I could not order the dish raw. I was a bit sad to hear that and when I ate the dish, it just felt underseasoned and was very underwhelming. I was very disappointed. I also got Minchetabesh which had a nice hint of cardamom, but was just okay. It did not get me salivary glands going like Ethiopian cuisine usually does. Finally, I ordered the Doro Wat which was supposed to be spicy according to their menu, but I just found it to be somewhat spicy. Flavour was not bad and the chicken was very nicely cooked and slipped right off the bone. I have to say that this place is ok. Not great, but not bad.
