I have mixed feelings because AmeriFreight is essentially the "middle man" and my car / items were damanged in transport by the Diesel Auto Express driver. However AmeriFreight still partners with Diesel Auto Express and that's why I'm writing this review. I will say AmeriFreight's agents were always friendly and answered calls quickly. I had my car shipped with Diesel Auto Express this December via AmeriFreight. I was moving cross country and I needed my roof rack and bike rack to be shipped along with my car. The agent from AmeriFreight took photos of my vehicle (with the roof rack and bike rack on) and specifically looked for a driver who would ship my car with the items attached. My car was picked up with both items securely on and the driver (who was very nice) did not say anything about the roof rack needing to be removed. HOWEVER when my car was delivered my roof rack was inside my car (it barely fit.) My $800 Yakima roof rack was cracked and completely taken apart then shoved into my car. I reached out to Diesel Auto Express's insurance company but their deductible has a minimum of $5000 so they told me I would have to file an in-house claim. Of course, Diesel Auto refused to replace my roof rack. All I asked was that they re-imbursement me for a new roof rack. I didn't ask for any compensation for the scratches and damage to the leather seats (which must have occurred when the driver shoved the rack into the car.) They stated that the driver has the discretion to take the rack off--which I can understand however the driver completely broke the roof rack. Why not just be a stand-up company and reimburse me for the item your employee broke?

We had a horrible experience trying to find a reputable transportation company to transport a 17,000 pound truck from Arizona to Oklahoma that we had just purchased. I signed up on a site to get quotes, did not notice sellers DOT number was still visible, which allowed transport companies to look up dot number and obtain companies name and phone number, transport companies started contacting the seller to arrange pick up, outside of the site I was using to get bids, misleading the seller as if they were the hired transport company. This made the process more stressful, and caused confusion with the seller. Quotes I received on the website ranged from $2600-$3300.00 to transport the truck. Pick up window averaged up to 7 days after transport as booked. Each company that responded, I checked their reviews on BBB/google, their business registration on Secretary of State in the state they were located, and checked the operating status on FMCSA site. I was surprised to see horrible reviews on BBB, and some unprofessional responses from the companies and some brokerages/transport companies had no authorization status on FMCSA I happened to come across Amerifreight on google by accident! I checked BBB (4.8 rating), S.O.S (active/in compliance) and FMCSA (authorized brokerage). I was interested in speaking with them; they had the best history by far on BBB, authority on FMCSA. I called and spoke with Lisa Henderson. She was the most informative agent I spoke with, very upfront about what her company does and what to expect during the process. They only use companies with 4.5 star rating, they vet each company before they are assigned. She reassured me that she would be with me through the entire process, from arranging transport, pick up, and delivery. After I signed up with Amerifreight, with in a couple of hours Lisa had found a transport company, that could pick up the truck the following day (12/6/23) eta arrival 12/7/2023 for $1415.00, requiring a $315 deposit at time of booking, and remainder paid to transport company. Due to shady transport companies bothering the seller, Lisa went a step further and arranged for seller to contact transport company to arrange pick up time to ensure the truck was released to the correct company. After seller made contact with transport company set up pick up time at noon on 12/6/2023. I immediately received an update, the driver reached out and introduced himself. When driver showed up to load the truck he called me to confirm last 6 digits of vin to ensure correct truck was being loaded. I inquired about ETA a couple hours later for following day, attempt to arrange for someone to be at the shop, driver responded promptly eta 1-2pm, would let me know better eta in the morning. First thing the next morning I received an update transport would arrive around 2:00pm, which ended up being the time of arrival. Truck was unloaded quickly, no issues, guy was nice, professional, thorough at the time of drop off. Lisa kept her word and checked in randomly to ensure we had no concerns during transport! I'm very pleased with my experience with Amerifreight and transport company. They worked together, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was great!

For people new to long haul car transportation, it's important to understand that AmeriFreight is a broker, not a carrier. In other words... as a broker, they pair you with companies (the carriers) who can ship your car for you for as cheap as possible. The price you pay with them directly is basically your brokerage fee. What you pay the carrier directly is the cost of the service of actually delivering your car to the desired destination. For whatever reason, I didn't fully understand this as I was going through the process. So what I paid AmeriFreight was a 33% fee on top of the delivery costs. Knowing what I know now, I would have done my own research and found reputable carriers who could do the delivery job and book with them directly. If I did, I would've saved $400. My rep was very communicative and diligent. There were times where I felt rushed to act and rushed to pay to secure a spot on a truck that stressed me out. The carrier did a 5-star job on the delivery. I'm giving AmeriFreight 3-stars because they could really do a better job at explaining their business model and pricing structure upfront. This is more of a rating of the company, not towards my rep, who as mentioned was very communicative and diligent. read more

Requested quote from AmeriFreight, as well as three others. AmeriFrieght provided a cross country "bait and switch" figure at just under a $1300. Others were coming in at $1800. Signed the paperwork with AmeriFreight to ship.....waited....in the mean time, other proposals kept coming in with ever lowering prices...... Several days after signing for the first week slightly less than $1300 proposal.....AmeriFreight contacts me....thrilled that they found a shipper for me.....contact them immediately.....upon calling, I am told they can pick car up tomorrow and price is shy of $1900....and I am supposed ot be thrilled? I ask about the BS price they quoted....am told that is their estimate and they source out the price at that point...but if no takers, they up the offer price $100 daily until they find an actual shipper.....IN OTHER WORDS...LAZY BUNCH OF WORTHLESS FOLKS....selling out the unsuspecting. Then they get testy with me about "yelling" at them when I question their bait and switch techniques.....and told they don't want to work with me (which is fine), and I can just "drive the car back"....cancelled their contract and in less then a day found shipper at $1500.... DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE CROOKS!...do your homework and find the best price yourself....... read more

I'm giving 4 stars because all in all it was a good experience. Vehicle picked up within half hour as promised and dropped off two days later cross country in the same condition within a half hour as promised. Had a little hiccup in pricing but Jorge Cruzm Sales Manager was relentless to make it right.....quite opposite of what most moving companies do. Would have been 5 stars without the hiccup. Transport was brokered to: RIKKI BOBBI TRANSPORTS LLC 2303 N CENTER RD 2303 N CENTER RD SPOKANE VLY, WA 99212-2240 Rikki Bobbie LLC deserves the FIVE stars for the flawless transport. I was stood up by another auto freight company and needed to ship my car asap. So I called Amerifreight and Melissa Dossett saved me. Literally at the last minute she was able to get someone out to my house to pick up my car. It was shipped the next day and arrived 2400 miles to my destination by the third day! I am so grateful for her quick response and communication she kept with me from the beginning to the end. My car arrived in perfect condition and way before the expected ship date. Outstanding customer service on everyone's part! read more

I had a good experience with AmeriFreight...pickup was on time, car arrival was on time. My reason for 4 stars was that the pickup in Atlanta ended up being in a little bit of a shaddy area because last minute the driver stated that there would not be an area to offload the car near my destination .... This did not feel safe to me considering that payment was expected only in cash I worked with Melissa who was great , would use her help again read more

1501945326-BS is my reference code with Melissa at Amerifreight. At first, I was very pleased with the company. They set everything up for my car to be transported from California to Florida. The first company they set me up with since they are brokers and then hire a hauler, was horrible. They never showed up, were unprofessional on the phone and they did no communicate well. I tried to reach Melissa on the weekend and I had no luck. I was not aware that the weekend was a bad time to try and reach Amerifreight. I emailed and called and someone resolved my problem. Luckily I was not in a rush to get the car to my destination. It did arrive with a second Hauler company. That experience was great but the first company left me with a bad experience. read more

Samantha Smith was wonderful to work with. She was friendly, helpful, and responded quickly and informatively to any questions on concerns I had. The individual who actually transported my wife's vehicle was also friendly. My only complaint was that in both occasions when I had my car shipped, the drives had me pick my car up at very late hours. The first one was at 1am, and this last one was 930pm. Not ideal for making sure no damages were done on the vehicle, nor just ideal times in general. However, no damages were done, both vehicles made it in safely, and both times the AmeriFreight Reps were professional and easy to work with. My order number reference is 5185338. read more

Service assistance to arrange for my transport was easy, the sales person was very knowledgeable & honest. Current skyrocketing fuel prices impacted my final cost compared to the quoted price, but the service was worth it. I priced out the cost of flying to where my vehicle was, gas & toll costs to drive it myself & hotel fees... I still paid hundreds less by using AmeriFreight than doing it myself. The truck/driver that shipped my vehicle was very timely, easy to communicate with, safe & reliable. Treated my vehicle with kid gloves. My order # was 5021650. read more

This was my first time shipping a car from one state to another and Danielle Roth from AmeriFreight knocked it out of the park and hit a homerun. I recently moved from the Greater Los Angeles area to Salt Lake City (SLC), Utah to gain work experience. And I was deciding between shipping my 1998 Toyota Camry or buying a newer used car in SLC. Moving to another city was pricey and I was spending like there was no tomorrow. It made more sense financially to have my car shipped from the LA area to SLC. I decided to go with AmeriFreight based on the mostly good reviews that I saw on Yelp and on Google Reviews. There were some bad reviews on Yelp and Google Reviews but nobody is perfect. I called their main number on a Friday evening after I finished working at the office and Danielle Roth answered the phone. The next day on Saturday she emailed me a quote of $649, $208 for AmeriFreight, and $441 for the Carrier. On Monday morning Danielle was able to obtain a Carrier to transport my car, and she emailed and called me to arrange eveything. Everything was set up on Monday morning and I had a Utah based carrier who agreed to ship my car from CA to Utah. The final price was $858, $208 (remained the same) for AmeriFreight and $650 for the Carrier ($209 increase). The driver's name was Clark and his estimated time of pickup and arrival was almost exact, he came on the days he said he would for pickup and for drop off. The car was picked up the next day on Tuesday and he delivered the car on Thursday the same week, and the car arrived in good condition. Communication between Danielle and Clark was amazing! Everything was done fast and was done well. I was impressed by the quality of the work done by both Danielle and Clark. If my family and friends need to have their cars shipped to another state, I will highly recommend AmeriFreight for their car shipping needs. For anyone else that is looking for a car shipping company I highly recommend AmeriFreight and Danielle one of their customer service agents. FYI I didn't buy their additional insurance since my car is an older Toyota from last century, but if you have a newer car like a Tesla and you want piece of mind then buy the insurance. read more

Their prices are high. It's not because they offer exceptional service, but because they expect you to have a competing offer if you want a reasonable market price. Don't expect the initial quote to be 100% accurate. However, I will praise them for having patient customer service when I had questions for my West Coast to East Coast auto shipment. The actual carrier they hired for my vehicle was friendly and reliable, going above and beyond to communicate with me. No complaints, no frills, got my car. read more

WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD. Do NOT use them. I am not exaggerating when I say that my experience with AmeriFreight was the worst experiences with a company I have ever had. If you do not want to read the entire review, essentially they ended up charging nearly 2x the quote, I had to meet the driver at 3am, I had to call repeatedly to get ahold of anyone, they were rude and it was just terrible all around. Makes Comcast customer service look like waiters at a 3 star restaurant. I got in contact with them weeks before I needed my car shipped and they assured me it would be picked up in plenty of time. Well a week goes by...no word. I call and can not get ahold of my agent or anyone else. After days of calling, I finally get ahold of someone and they tell me that the agent I was working with was no longer at the company. So I got a new agent (glad I kept calling). Finally there was an offer to pick up my car but when AmeriFreight charged my card, my bank flagged the purchase (which I immediately approved). Instead of running my card again or calling me, they just canceled the pick up...then a second offer several days later but they miscommunicated with he driver and then it was too late. Finally a third offer to come get the car and AmeriFreight gives me the number of the driver and dispatcher and then ghosts me so that I have to negotiate how the car is picked up. When I expressed my frustration to the AmeriFreight employee working with me, I was yelled at and hung up on. After I negotiated the pick up/drop off BY MYSELF, I still didn't hear from AmeriFreight for weeks! Then they had the audacity to text and ask how it went weeks after. Never one apology or anything. DO NOT USE AMERIFREIGHT!!! Save yourself the time, money and headache and use someone else! read more

This company used scare tactics to try and get my business. $225 was charged to my card to simply obtain a quote. When I declined to accept the quote they provided they told me my card was already charged and they would not refund me. When I was disputing this with the customer service representative she was continually condescending, lied saying my email declining their services was never received and when I asked to speak with a manager she eventually hung up on me. It was shocking. The reason I didn't accept the quote to begin with was because their fee was $900 and the company I ended up booking with was $600. Don't use this company, they are bullies, they lie and they refuse to put you in touch with the manger to further discuss concerns. Then they hang up on you. It was a terrible experience and you should avoid them at all costs. read more

My wife and I had the unfortunate experience with Amerifreight on August 28, 2020. My wife and I moved cross country from the Charlotte North Carolina area to San Antonio and my wife's pristine Lexus was damaged even before it left the Charlotte area. The car had all 4 tethers loose and banged into another car on the trailer the entire ride to Texas. We were not notified until 1 hour before the car was delivered on 9/1/20. Which TVs car cane 1 dat before we requested and we had to scramble to meet the driver. They refused to drop off at the hone and we were forced to meet the driver off a busy main road. The subcontractor used a trailer that was not insured and we the car cost 5k to fix. We used our own insurance and had to pay a deductible. My insurance has been trying to subrogate and collect payment the last two months from thei insurance Progressive. To add insult to injury they refuse to compensate us with a rental car or offer depreciated value for a previously garage kept fully loaded Lexus. read more

Where to start with the whole business of car shipments, first off all we found out that this is brokers asked for money before a truck is even sent to pick up your car. The agent Danielle R. was very prompt in answering emails with questions about shipping my car and did return my call within 2-3 business days and apologized that it had not been sooner. It seems that they have been lowballing the estimates more than when I used them last year. This time, the actual cost ($1350) was $350 more than the estimate. Also, another agent at Amerifreight called, emailed, and texted me multiple times one day about an offer that was not during the time period for pickup. The initial carrier found fell through due to another car being larger than reported and Danielle quickly informed me and found another carrier at the same price within a day. The carriers they used both times have been very professional and easy to communicate with. read more

I can't recommend them at all, unfortunately. On June 9th, I inquired with AmeriFreight about a quote to move my 2016 Hyundai Sonata and my parents' 2000 Lincoln Navigator from the San Francisco Bay Area to the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina. I chose the Open Carrier type and was almost immediately sent an email that quoted me $925 for my car and assigned Danielle Roth as my agent. I emailed Danielle to inquire about a quote that included my parents' car and she replied that it would be $1,900. Danielle sent me a more thorough list of questions to answer and when it came time to confirm my order, after which she could post for bids from transport companies, the cost was $1,900 with a $608 deposit (by credit card) and $1,292 (in cash to the transport company upon delivery). A carrier ended up responding on Thursday, July 2nd and someone named Lisa sent me a voicemail message. I called her back and this time she told me that the total was $3,700 - $800 deposit via credit card immediately with the carrier being paid $2,900 in cash. At this point in time, my family and I had already been in North Carolina for two weeks with a rental car and just wanted to have our cars transported so I paid the $800 deposit and then used money orders from the US Postal Services to pay the carrier (Aledi LLC). Aledi LLC ended up picking up our cars that Sunday, July 5th and said they'd have the cars delivered by Friday, July 10th. The carrier got me the driver's information on Saturday, July 4th (name and direct phone number) and I was able to coordinate with my aunt and friend who were still in California for pick-up. The original pick-up window was 1-4 PM PST on Sunday, but the driver ended up missing it by an hour because he said he had difficulties contacting the person he was either picking up from/dropping off to ahead of me. At around 4:30 PM PST, the driver also let me know that he couldn't pick up from the originally agreed upon location because of the size of the trailer. We ended up scrambling via text to find a good location and he ended up choosing a place near the off-ramp of a freeway. Thankfully, my aunt and uncle were really flexible and willing to assist. It was stressful, though, and I truly wish such details were ironed out ahead of time. When it came time to do the delivery, they were actually a day early and dropped off the cars on the evening of Thursday, July 9th. It was completely dark by the time my dad and I got the cars so it was pretty impossible to do a thorough check of their condition. The actual process of checking the bill of lading consisted of being handed the driver's phone to sign off that I had received it. I hated that I had to essentially do that because there was no more daylight and we were in a poorly lit area (again, another change to the delivery address location). At the end of the day, I'm happy to have my car and I think that's what matters. However, I'm disappointed that the quote was $1,800 below what the actual cost of moving the vehicles was. Had AmeriFreight been honest about the quote, I would have gone with a different vendor. Lessons learned I guess. Danielle sent me a text on Thursday, July 7th (4 days after the actual pick-up) to inquire about whether or not there were any issues with the carrier. I informed her of the missed timeframe and changed location and got crickets. Not even a token "I'm sorry to hear that" or "I'll look into it." On Monday, July 20th (11 days after the actual drop-off), I get another text from her asking about the delivery and then informing me of a quick survey sent via email. So here we are and this is my honest recollection of the events. Other people seem to have had great experiences with AmeriFreight, but mine was horrible. read more

First rep Ben Payne didn't respond to my emails. Second rep Samantha Smith was helpful, but had issues with pick up times. They'd give a notice of less than 5 hours for some pick ups. Shipped 2012 Nissan Altima from NJ to San Diego California . It needed to be in a specific time frame. I heard the process of auto transport was stressful. Read many reviews on (brokers) for Auto Transporters before making a decision. AmeriFrieght had the best reviews. Yolanda, my customer service rep, was responsive, knowledgeable and friendly. It may take Amerifrieght some time to match you with a transporter, do not fret, they will locate you one. The final Quote was more than what was quoted initially but I was told, the market dictates the final cost. I also took out the extra insurance ($98)to have peace of mind. Mr Chung the pick up (NJ)driver was super friendly and made me feel comfortable. The drop off driver (CA) was also friendly. Amerifreight and the Car Transporter delivered as promised. Would definitely recommend this company and would use them again. You want to have your car with a reliable company. Thank you. read more

I try to be fair with my reviews. Here are the reasons I docked a couple of stars. My pick up date was 2/24/23 (Friday) and ETA delivery of Friday 3/03, and I was informed that my vehicle would be picked up between a certain window and that this transport company was one of the best. Great! The LOCAL broker driving a vehicle bed behind his truck picked up my vehicle. I had no idea that an 18 wheeler was not picking up my vehicle. The male spoke broken English and he was difficult to understand. I had my grandfather with me and he asked, "where is the big truck?" I told him, "I don't know. I thought a big truck was coming to drive it off." I had personal belongings in my vehicle. All sentimental. So it made me extremely nervous that my car was going to be driven to the third party company's lot. CA Auto express in Ontario, CA. By the way they don't lock your car during transport to their location because the alarm will go off. I called auto express to ask if they could be sure the driver locked my doors. I checked Google maps and I don't see that the lot is gated but who knows how old that map photo is BUT Amerifreight claims all of their "terminals" are secure. Anyways, the dispatcher said he would make sure. I asked when my vehicle would depart? He said mid week, Wednesday. I had no idea my car would be sitting at their lot for 5 DAYS. Amerifreight didn't relay that information to me. Dispatch said for weather reasons. I called Amerifreight and spoke with my account Rep, because I informed her I had no idea that a LOCAL broker picks up my vehicle and she claimed she had no idea they did that, but she was sure as all positive that this company is one of the best, but she didn't know a local broker picks up your vehicle? Hmmm. Okay. Oh and by the way! Ca auto express claims they will call you a day before the vehicle leaves, so they should have called on Tuesday 2/28. Nope! I called Wednesday and the new pick up date from the driver was going to be Friday 3/03 and the driver would would drop off on 3/06 or 3/07. Dispatcher said he would call Friday. No phone call. I called them no answer because their offices were already closed. I called Amerifreight, they couldn't get through. My rep, Carovan set up a new order for another driver but it was for an estimated 3/06-3/13... lol!! Come on!! I was so Ready to cancel my order altogether. My dad told me not to-to see what happens. There is such a huge lack of communication between Ca Auto Express, Amerifreight and the customer. I don't even know why to even bother going through Amerifreight? Oh! Carovan said she would call on Saturday, she didn't. She didn't follow up on Saturday. Nope! I found out my car was on the road on Saturday because of my AirTag!! So I had to call and spoke with Rosie and she called back to let me know the driver is on the road. I will give one star for Carovan's attempt to try to find me another driver and another star for my vehicle getting to my place in one piece and nothing taken from my car or so I hope. I haven't gone through all of my belongings. Ca auto express has terrible reviews by itself. Amerifreight- it's mostly positive. So ask questions before you get with Amerifreight. #1 should be- is an 18 wheeler picking up my car or is it going to sit in a 3rd party lot for days? or I guess they refer to as terminal. Overall my vehicle sat in their lot for a week. Amerifreight was willing to give me a full refund had i chosen a different company instead of Amerifreight- so that was nice. I did pick up my car. I'm happy it's now with me. The driver called an hour before and 10-12 minutes and again to give me time. Why bother with Amerifreight or Third party- just give me the driver's number. I just received a text from my account rep, here's how you guys did. I don't recommend. I recommend a different transport or if you do go with Amerifreight- make sure it's not Cal Auto Express. Ask questions! All i want is transparency and communication. read more

I needed to move my car from California to Texas. I first found out about AmeriFreight when I was searching for car transport companies online and found them on a list of the top 5 moving companies in 2020. I thought that this was either a scam or they were really good. They were the latter. After I got my quote from their website, I called Harry Davies, the person in charge of my case and I asked him question after question and he answered every single one with so much detail. He even answered questions that I didn't know I had! After the thorough Q&A, I finally decided to place an order with them. After all, it was free, so why not? Here's a tip: Unless you have a better idea of when you need your car by, tell them the car is ready for pick up earlier than you think or choose a Monday. Because I ended up changing my pickup date to earlier than I originally set it to be and it wasn't until the Monday after I changed the date that there was a carrier who was assigned to my order. So I ended up agonizing until a carrier picked up my contract. Harry was so nice in easing my anxiety over making sure that a carrier was assigned. Now, here was the real superstar in all of this: Simon from Freight and Auto Transport Inc. was the driver assigned to my case. He was estimated to arrive with my car on the 16th, but Simon got here on the 14th! AmeriFreight, keep this guy on your roster of good drivers! Thank you so much Simon and Harry for a great first car transport experience. I will always remember this! read more

My experience with AmeriFreight and the transport carrier of my vehicle from California to Texas went very smoothly. The folks at AmeriFreight - especially the agent who assisted me, Yolanda - were very helpful and responsive with getting me setup with the carrier and with keeping me up-to-date throughout the process. My car arrived on-time at the delivery destination in Texas. I really don't have any negatives to report of my experience, and I will definitely go with AmeriFreight again if I need another long-distance vehicle transport arranged again. A little disappointed since the reviews were mostly good. They picked up my car last Thursday (it was available Wednesday but they chose to pick up Thursday). They could not deliver until the following Tuesday, which was fine (although already longer than any other quote). However, at 2:30 on Tuesday I had not heard from them. I reached out and at that point they said the car would be another 1-2 days. If I had not reached out there would have been no update... and the extra 2 days on top of an already long lead time seems very excessive. Especially when they promise a delivery date. read more

I read the other Amerifreight reviews about a bait and switch and it happened to me. They quoted me a price to transport my car across the nation and then after getting me to agree to use their services - they nearly doubled the quote. Couldn't believe it was nearly double. I told them I was going to take my business to another broker and I did and they met their quote. read more

AmeriFreight walked me through every aspect of the process. I had no idea how stressful shipping a car could be but with AmeriFreight and Danielle assisting us it made the process less stressful. Truck arrived safely and as promised. The transport carrier was great and would work with them again. read more

I researched online, as I always do first when entering new territory. As a result, I then called AmeriFreight. Lecia assisted me in understanding what would be involved in shipping my car to my Mom in Maine, who needed a car within the next couple weeks. Lecia answered questions honestly about what would be involved, and I was confident in dealing with AmeriFreight. We confirmed some things by email and finished setting things up for her to search for a truck to transport my car. Lecia called me about a day later and had located a driver, but I was not able to get my car to the pickup location that soon. Lecia understood that and said she would keep looking for the next opportunity. Lecia called me again in a couple more days just to keep in touch and confirm she was still looking for a driver for us. Things had changed some at my end, and I told her there was a chance I wouldn't be shipping my car after all if we ended up buying a car for my Mom from someplace nearby to her. I told Lecia maybe she should put my request on hold until we figured things out. Lecia was very understanding and said to let her know when I wanted to reactivate my request. After several days, we determined my car was still going to be the best way of meeting their needs, so I called Lecia, and she picked up right where we left off and began looking again. The very next evening, on behalf of Lecia, George from AmeriFreight, called me with an offer to ship my car the next morning. The pickup and dropoff locations I had given for each end of the shipment would involve some travel for us but I had figured these would be fairly easy to access with a large truck and trailer. George told me right away that the driver's fee was a little more than their initial estimate of shipping costs, so I needed to decide if I wanted to do it or not. I considered the increase and asked if we could negotiate any closer delivery points to the pickup and dropoff locations I had originally chosen. I said I would be willing to pay the extra amount if the driver would pick up my car very close to my home and also deliver right to my Mom's home in Maine, since their current car had gotten very untrustworthy, even for short distances. This would save them and me together, almost 60 miles of driving to meet the truck, plus another driver and vehicle to get each of us to or from those locations. George called the driver, made our offer, and the driver agreed. We had a deal, I signed the contract and sent a scanned copy to George by email, and he provided the contact number of the driver so we could communicate directly as needed. The driver, DR Transport, called me and we arranged for pickup right from my home the next morning by 11AM and delivery right to my Mom's home sometime the following day. WOW. DR Transport's driver and an assistant came at 11am, took pictures and filled out a form noting some minor paint damage on my car (at 15 years old, with over 200,000 miles, it was in good shape for its years, but it wasn't "mint condition") and then they loaded it up on a single vehicle trailer. It was getting individual service all the way to Maine! I rested easy and was confident that AmeriFreight had done their homework and DR Transport would take good care of things. The driver and assistant were super nice guys and comfortable to deal with. They delivered the car to my Mom's home the next day, almost exactly when they had expected to arrive. The car was unloaded and inspected by both parties, payment was made, forms signed and provided to my Mom, and the whole process was finished. I admit that my greatest concerns had to do with letting a car I've trusted for so long be put in the hands of total strangers and go off down the highway. But honestly, by dealing with AmeriFreight, my concerns were alleviated and I rested easy about it. They handled my private information responsibly, put in time searching (TWICE,) located a responsible driver, informed me of everything I would need to do, cautioned me about things I shouldn't do, and didn't just disappear once I had paid my deposit and shipped my car, instead following up after the fact to make sure all was well. And to think, I was seriously thinking of driving all the way to Maine myself and then flying home. I would have lost a few days time and work, probably some sleep, and added another 900 miles on the car, not to mention leaving some family and home responsibilities to others to others during my absence. I give AmeriFreight and DR Transport A+ marks and if I have to ship again, I'll just call AmeriFreight, have them check with DR Transport first, and then just relax and then let them set it up for me. This was WAY easier than I would have thought read more

Ok, So the first thing you need to know is how this business works. There are truckers throughout the US who make regular runs. Depending on how busy they are and the location of your vehicle, THAT ...and only that is what sets your price. There are a ton of brokers who post the opportunity (your request for pickup and delivery). The truckers all scan the same posts and then choose the cars they pickup based on the price you are willing to pay and if it fits their route. One day a truck might go cross country for $1,200, the next week if the same trucker is busy, it might cost you $1,800. The brokers have absolutely no say on what the truckers will take. It is 100% the decision of the trucker. Brokers who offer less prices are just trying to get you locked in and then up the price. If by the unlikely chance there is a truck who is willing to take their lower price, then you possibly would get that rate. That's a dice throw and you don't want to end up with a guy in a pickup truck with a shoddy car trailer hauling your late model luxury car. If not, you will wait as long as it takes for you to get a legit truck to take your offer, or, as they all do, the broker will call you back after a few days and tell you that you have to pay more. So what makes Sam at AmeriFreight better than everyone else?..because she is an honest woman who gave it to me straight from the start. I had plenty of time with this car, so we initially posted the offer relatively cheap. Sam was completely honest with me on how we might get lucky but if we didn't get a quality taker on the price within a few days, we may have to up our offer. Sam was awesome with her communication and was willing to discuss options at any time. After 4 days, we decided to raise our offer slightly. Mind you, she could have come back with a higher number than we ultimately offered and guaranteed her comission but instead she was looking out for my best interest and upped it a little at a time. So after a week we put out a slightly higher number and got a taker within a few days. Mind you, everything is flexible when you are trying to get the best price, so unless you want to pay top dollar, which will pretty much get you your car EXACTLY when you want it, then you have to be flexible. They picked up the car the next day and said the trip from Fresno CA to CT would be around 7 days. Turns out the car was picked up by a local hauler who brought it to Southern CA for the long haul truckers. It sat there for a few days but then a wonderful guy named Steve and his wife picked it up. The dispatcher co-ordinated the pickup and Steve and I talked two days before delivery to schedule an exact pickup location and time. The car ended up taking around 10 days from the initial Fresno, CA pickup point Fairfield, CT drop off, but having good communication made the whole thing go like clockwork. My suggestion is to save yourself a lot of headaches and go with the AmeriFreight company. Be sure to ask for Sam and her team. Tell them you read this review and want the straight story. Then take their advice when they give it to you. FYI, they don't take their commission until your car is scheduled for pickup! Most of the negative reviews in this business are because of the hustle the brokers give you and you always feel like you are being lied to and upsold. This was a great experience. Last, Don't believe any reviews you read other than on Yelp. All of the others are untruthful paid reviews that the companies put up themselves. Check the difference between their reviews and Yelp's and you'll find the truth. And don't pay attention to the cry baby's who don't understand this business and complain about things they didn't ask about or clarify on their own. Jon read more

We moved from Utah to New Hampshire for employment. I was certain that I was not going to drive my family and cars across the country given that I only had a short window between terminating one job and beginning the next. I sought out all methods of having our two cars transported to New Hampshire. Doing web searches, talking with friends and colleagues, I quickly became discouraged. There was no guidance and it seemed that many companies turned out to be frauds. I read that companies were paying to have positive reviews posted, others were fakes and some simply outsourced the job to un-knowledgeable third parties. I became so distraught that I looked into rail transport and other means. However, none of these were available to our destination. I began making calls and receiving quotes from many companies online. I finally stumbled on AmeriFreight via the BBB. I sent them an email and actually received a call from a PERSON, Graham. He was very knowledgeable, honest and friendly. He helped me understand the process of auto transport and clearly explained his role in the process. He made no false promises and I felt that I was speaking to a real, honest person. That, along with the reviews I read, made me contract with AmeriFreight. Graham clearly explained to me the different options for shipping my cars: covered or not, closer pick-up times and protection/insurance options. He worked with me on my tight moving schedule and we agreed on a pick-up window. Well in advance to that window, he found me Green Way LLC Transport, who agreed to move our two cars. I have a small SUV and a passenger car. Green Way was on the spot in communication and professionalism. All along the way, Graham from AmeriFreight kept in touch and ensured that my communication and interaction with Green Way was on target. The day prior to pick up, we actually had to change the pick up location by 30 miles. There was no problem in contacting AmeriFreight and Green Way short notice and they agreed to meet us at a new location. The pick up went smooth, professional and was right on time. Along the transport, we kept in touch with the carrier and with AmeriFreight. No issues. Our cars arrived right on the day promised. We actually were not able to pick up the cars on the delivery day and AmeriFreight and the carrier arranged for our cars to be stored for two more days. For pick-up, we were again accommodated beyond the call of duty, having the storage person come out and meet us to hand over our cars two hours after their closing time. In summary, I am simply amazed by the professionalism, honesty and overall accomplishment of AmeriFreight, and Graham specifically. Our cars were dealt with perfectly, we were accommodated beyond the call of duty and there were absolutely no surprises or issues. There was no damage to the cars, delivery was on time, communication was honest and professional. We were always aware where the cars were, could always get with touch with AmeriFreight and the Carrier, and had absolute peace of mind while our cars were under way. Price was very reasonable and right on par with other quotes. Our final price even included two days of storage after arrival on location. I highly recommend AmeriFreight and only wish it would have been easier to find our about them in the first place. I hope that my review will help convince you of using them for your transport needs. I would be happy to answer any questions. read more

AmeriFreight was recommended by a friend who had good luck with them. This was not my case. They put me in contact with Aztrans, my carrier, and the whole experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. AmeriFreight first tried to tell me that the cost of my shipment would be $100 more than the quote that I received online -- something that my friend also experienced. However, after haggling with them (which I would have preferred NOT to do) they agreed to honor the online quote. Regarding shipping, I was originally told that the car would be picked up on a particular date. However, last minute, that date was moved several days earlier. This wasn't horrible, but it was inconvenient. Then the real problems began. I repeatedly told AmeriFeright that I would not arrive at my destination until later that month. They told me that the carrier would keep my car at their lot and that all I had to do was PAY for a cab to go pick it up. I thought this service was supposed to be easy? Door-to-door? Why should I take the time and pay the additional money to pickup my car 15 miles away? Thus, AmeriFreight agreed that the car could be kept at the carrier's lot ("for free" they said, trying to make me feel privileged) until my date of arrival. Unfortunately, the day I arrived at my destination, I soon found that one of the Aztrans drivers was keeping my car at his HOUSE and that the keys to my car were IN his house. This meant that I could not pickup my car even if I wanted to pay for a cab. Further, the driver was out of town for the week and I would therefore not be able to receive my car until his return. Managing without a car for a week meant that I had several additional expenses which I now had to pay for out of pocket. Both AmeriFreight and Aztrans refused any sort of discount given the late delivery, unprofessional treatment, and additional out of pocket expenses. Finally, after filling up my car with gas for the first time since receiving it, I noticed that the gas flap releasing mechanism was broken (the metal inside was bent, was being used to keep the flap attached to the car, and additional pieces of metal inside the flab were broken off entirely). Since I didn't fill up WITHIN 48 hrs of receiving the car, the insurance coverage that I purchased through AmeriFreight is totally worthless. Overall, a bad experience. I would not do it again. Unprofessional all around. Try your luck elsewhere. read more

In the past five years, I've had cars shipped from the East Coast to the West Coast, and from the Pacific Northwest to Southern California. I never had a very bad experience but a few times there were inconvenient delays without good reason, some surly customer service, and none of the service providers ever stood out a being notably superior to the others. When it came time to select a transport company to ship my car across country to my mother, I wanted to be certain I hired a company with a great reputation for delivering upon promises, providing outstanding customer servie and support, and charging reasonable rates with no hidden fees. After a few research sessions, a few conversations with various providers, and soliciting a handful of quotes, I settled upon AmeriFreight, a company with which I had not worked before. From my initial electronic communications and phone calls with Jessica Ferris, I knew I had made the best choice. She is the consummate professional, direct and honest, and always quite courteous. The quote she sent me was accurate and honored throughout. No hidden or surprise charges here. Throughout the whole experience, she called or wrote to update me and check in on me, connected me with the local driver who was also very courteous, and she ensured things revolved around my schedule, not theirs. Jessica and AmeriFreight knew how important this particular shipment was to me because it is a gift for my mother and I wanted it to arrive on time in exactly the condition I shipped it, and equally important I wanted anyone who contacted my Mom to be polite, helpful, and kind. Jessica ensured all those goals were met. My Mom told me this morning that the car arrived exactly as the driver promised and he was very nice to her. I had sent my Mom over a dozen photos of the car taken the day it was picked up, and she said it's in exactly the same condition. The first estimate I got from Jessica was it will be picked up on either May 6 or 7 and arrive 10 days later. It was picked up on May 6 and arrived on May 10. Jessica sent me a note, too, to let me know it had arrived and to ask if everything was okay. Yes, Jessica, it certainly is! Next time I need to ship a car, and every time after that, I will hire AmeriFreight again and that is due in large part to Jessica. Thank you, Jessica, in all sincerity for taking care of something very important to me. YOU ARE TRULY WONDERFUL!!! read more

I needed to ship my 2015 Honda CR-V from Virginia to California by Jan 6, 2016. In the beginning of Nov 2015, Graham gave me an estimated quote of $830. I found this price was much lower than other auto-shipping company, so I paid the deposit $290 and they started to find the driver for me. Until the middle of December, I still haven't heard anything from Graham and I began to worry if they really could get me a driver before Jan 6, 2016. So I called Graham and he promoised that I would be his top priority. He indeed fulfilled his promise and found a driver for me (CAA transport) within one week after I called him. The driver asked $950 for delivery fee, so now the total cost would be $290 + $950 = $1240, which was much higher than the original estimation ($830) from Graham. I was not sure if this "price suddently jumped" was normal in this business or I was being tricked. Frankly speaking, the price of $1240 actually lied in the range from the quote of other auot-shipping companies ($1200 ~ $1300), so I did not see what kind of advantage I would gain if I kept going with AmeriFreight. However, I was in a hurry to get the car shipped so I still accepted their offer. The pick up date was set to be Dec 25, 2015 and they said the car would arrive in California before Jan 6, 2016. However, I told them in the beginning the car had to be delivered after Jan 6, 2016. Otherwise, I could not get my car in person (my flight was Jan 6, 2016). Fortunately, they checked with CAA transport and CAA transport agreed to hold my car and wait for my arival. The CAA transport did deliver my car on time on Jan 7th, 2016 and finally I felt relieved after getting my car. To conclude, I think AmeriFreight did get the job done in time. However, I do have the following suggestions for them. 1. Avoid "the final price suddently jumping so high compared to the original quote" 2. Pay more attention to the customer's requests in the beginning. Do not let the customer to remind you. 3. Keep interacting with the early-booked customers with emails or phone calls to let them know you did not forget them, especially when the pick up date is approaching. I look forward to seeing AmeriFreight becoming a 5-star rating company and shine in the future! read more

TL, DR: AmeriFreight is awesome, and I will use them forever. So here's the thing: I ship cars that I really care about cross-country every three years. I'm not a collector, nor a dealer, nor a broker. I'm a US Army Soldier with a wife and teenaged daughters. Every two-to-three years, my duty station changes, and we have to get our small fleet of vehicles from one state to another. So I have a lot of experience with car shippers, but, unlike a business that does it professionally, I care passionately about the cars I load on the truck. They're not for some buyer at the destination, they are _my_ cars, and I want them to arrive quickly and in great condition, because I and my family will be driving them. They're like old friends to us. AmeriFreight is, hands-down, the best and most professional car shipper I have retained. Their paperwork is simple and self-explanatory, their prices are reasonable, and they do exactly what they say they will do: move your car quickly and safely from origin to destination. What I really, really love about them, though, and what has made me a customer for life, is their ability to communicate with the customer. AmeriFreight kept me informed at every stage of the transaction. Their e-mails arrived promptly, they kept to their communication schedule (if they told me they'd get back to me the next day, they got back to me the next day), they made sure I knew who I was talking to and why when my case was referred from one employee to another, and, miracle of miracles, when I called them, a real human being answered the phone, demonstrated familiarity with my shipment, and ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS. The driver showed up at exactly the right spot, bang on time, and treated my car with respect and care as he unloaded it from the truck. He was scrupulous about the post-shipping inspection, and gave me a receipt without prompting. The entire process went smoothly, and I am extremely satisfied with the result. The next time I ship one of my cars (and there certainly will be a next time, alas), I'm calling AmeriFreight. They're offering me a $50.00 discount to post this review, but I would've done it anyway. With customer service this good, they deserve to prosper. read more

You know how broker's talk your ear off and promise you the world when all you want is a reasonable estimate and whether they will be a good match for your service need? Then I'd recommend calling Sinclair at Amerifreight. I called this company because they were toward the top of the list for long distance car transport. I had the luck of Sinclair picking up when I called. He was friendly and indormative but not overtly so, like those saccharine brokers who coddle you and are sunshine and roses but walk away before the ink has even dried on the contract. We had to ship two cars, but on seperate dates. I explained my situation to him about how the date for shipping my car was flexible but the other vehicle had to be guaranteed on a certain day. He was quick to understand the situation and explained the process from start to finish and once I understood the process, we worked out an arrangement that suited my cars needs and requirements and also took a huge weight off my shoulders. Sinclair went above and beyond to find me the best driver and accommodations I required. After updating me on an offer, I declined and he was intuitive enough to know not to reach out if the offer was not close to my price range. Since we are moving, time is 9f the essence and he did not waste any by calling unnecessarily, and went the extra mile to explain my situation to the driver so they would accommodate my pickup time and date and also got the driver to agree to a lower price. All of this was taken care of and all I had to do was eaign a few documents and have a couple pleasant phone callswith Sinclair. Once he obtained a a reputable driver, she texted me instantly and took things from there. My car arrived on time and in great condition. Sinclair called me occasionally to give me updates on the status of my vehicle, which was very much appreciated,. He calmed me down the first time we spoke and I'm a bit of a control freak so for me to put my trust.in him to handle 95% of the situation, is no easy feat. He was always reassuring when I had questions or concerns. I wish I found him earlier so I didn't have to deal with the stress of pre shipping jitters. Thanks for everything Sinclair, truly. read more

Thank you Jordan, Thank you AmeriFrieght! First, incentive or not to post a review doesn't mean the review has to positive, just honest. I am honestly happy and satisfied with my entire experience working with AmeriFrieght. I had anxiety just thinking about the logistics of getting my car from California to Connecticut. My car is very important to me as it is with most folks. I started surfing the net and became overwhelmed with all the companies that transport vehicles. I asked people I knew to try and get "word of mouth" referrals. Got a few with low BBB ratings. Back to the net. Called around and got some quotes. Some were too low (made me nervous, as it should), some too high. Time was running out for my dead line for my transportation needs. Studied theTransport Review site one last time and decided to call Jordan. Very pleasant to work with. So glad I trust my "gut"! A+ BBB rating. Any negative review was handled. Price was fair. All questions answered. Jordan was very patient, professional and courteous. The gentleman who drove the truck was very nice and professional. Needless to say it was smooth sailing or should I say rolling all the way... They did everything they said they would. The timing, the tracking, the constant communication. I am very happy that I can recommend a good solid transport co. to others. That they will be able to rest assured as I was. read more

We started the car transport process back in May with another company. My dad wanted my son to have my mom's 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis. Dad lived in Pennsylvania, we are in Arizona. Being 82 years young, my dad wanted an honest company who stood behind their work, was on time, and showed up when they said they would show. With that said, we contracted with a company to move the car in June. The car was ready June 23, 2014. The business we first contracted with prided itself for its quick turnover (1-7 days, not the industy standard of 7-14 days). I was thrilled. Our quote was affordable (but as I later learned not competitive), so our car sat. Trying to call the company was fruitless; lots of left messages on answering machines. A total lack of communication and how the car transport business works. Totally unprofessional. My father became increasingly frustrated as well waiting on a driver to pick up the car. So with that, I called another company. They were vey nice, and they explained the car transport system to me. It was refreshing. I decided to network through the BBB (Better Business Bureau). AmeriFreight was right up there on their recommended companies. Right from the start, Ali Miller explained the entire process, apologized for other companies nasty business practices, and told me what I needed to do to have AmeriFreight move my vehicle. She posted my quote, got an interested driver (Thanks BEST and Hector!!), coordinated the car move, and kept me posted on every aspect of that move. I knew when the vehicle would be picked up, what my dad needed to do, and when the car might be delivered. Ali helped me contact the driver and the company, and it all ended up great. The car took 6 days to travel from Pennsylvania to Arizona. The driver Hector could not have been nicer to my dad and I. If you want a great experience with a company who care about how they did and what you thought, give AmeriFreight a call. Thank you, thank you Ali Miller. Our family is so very appreciative. read more

My parents moved back to the US from overseas and they needed their vehicle shipped from western NY to Texas. I have never transported a vehicle before and know absolutely nothing about how the industry works. I, like everyone else, submitted a request to a couple sites and was inundated with quotes, phone calls, and texts that ranged from $600 to $3,000. Without knowing much, I jotted down some numbers and called a couple carriers back in the hopes of learning something. I ended up not trusting anyone I spoke to because info was all over the place. I was more confused than when I started. Then I found the Transport Reviews website. I joined, ran a quick search, and decided to make phone calls to the top 5 rated companies. AmeriFreight came in way under everyone else cost wise. I was very skeptical at first because the rate was so darn low, so I went to their website and was pleasantly surprised at how professional it is. It has loads of good information for the novice such as myself. I took a shot, called and got hooked up with Brett. He was very patient in answering all of my questions and emails. I did go ahead and make those other 4 phone calls. Only one other company was as pleasant to deal with, but their rate was $500 more for the exact same service. So, I booked using the J-tracker feeling rather proud of myself. About 5 days later, Brett called and they already had a carrier. The rate was $200 higher than originally quoted, but I was not surprised as it is spelled out clearly in the confirmation email that rates can be re-negotiated depending on the carrier but they will be confirmed prior to pick up. Having said that, even at the higher rate, AmerFreight was STILL cheaper than anyone else by at least $300!!! The vehicle arrived 8 days later in perfect condition. I would not hesitate to use AmerFreight again. Kudos for being a different breed of auto transporter in what is seemingly a dog pile of mutts. read more

Robin L. Classy company moves classic truck! This was my first experience hiring a shipper to move a vehicle. I was very concerned after reading horror stories on the internet about bad shipping companies. I was most certainly concerned since I was shipping a 1971 Chevy C-10 Pick-up in original condition from the West coast to the East coast. After searching Google for a few weeks I settled on Amerifreight for their quick response to my quote request, price, and positive reviews. Jessica was my contact and she answered all questions and responded promptly via phone and email. In fact even one day I sent an email to Jessica and I received an "out of office" message back. I called the office and they said she was out sick that day, but she still responded to my email within a couple of hours. Now that is dedication! Back to moving the truck, I selected the economy package to save money. Jessica stated it may take 5 to 7 days before the truck would be scheduled to be picked up and the truck was picked up on day 7! Even though the Memorial Day holiday was in the middle, the truck was loaded for delivery as promised. I was very pleasantly surprised, when the truck made its journey successfully from San Diego, California to Newark, Delaware in just 4 days. No damage on the truck. The driver, Nazarius from New Empire Brothers called me called various time to keep me up to date of when he would be delivering the truck. Since he was arriving late night, he gave us options of where and when he could deliver the truck. The truck was pretty dirty, but I expected that because I went with the Open Transport. I found out that Nazarius had to move my truck on the transport during the journey and had to jumpstart it, but he did not charge me extra for that. An all-around great experience... I'd use Amerifreight again. read more

It is very important to understand the system that Amerifreight uses prior to shipping with them. Amerifreight does not ship directly, they are merely a middle man service to link you up with direct shippers. This means that they can't have direct control over the quality or timing of the shipping process. They do, however, attempt to do so by ensuring that all shippers are insured (which is good), as I had one back out because they didn't want to produce those documents. The price you get quoted first will likely not be what you pay in the end, especially if you pick a longer timeframe and cheaper option. You are given a couple of options/timeframes or "packages", and the shippers sort of "bid" on them. They likely know they can get more, so expect to pay $100-400 more than the lowest quote. If you pay the highest rate from the getgo, you can probably get a fast shipment, otherwise if you try to save money it may take time and not be on your most desired schedule. That being said, mine took longer and was more expensive than expected. The shipper did not show up on the first day, and arrived a little later than expected for delivery as well. The car, however, was in good shape (it was a classic car, so this was very important to me), and in the end that is what mattered more than the time to me, in this particular instance. If I needed the car faster it would have been more frustrating. The Amerifreight staff seem great and very helpful and responsive. Just understand that you will pay more than your initial quote, there are VERY HIGH credit card fees in addition to that charge, and that Amerifreight doesn't ship it themselves. In summary, their service feels slightly misleading, but in the end work out-- just at a higher price, in my case about $200+$100 credit card fees. read more

I recently relocated from North Carolina to Pennsylvania, and my new employer was going to pay for the move. However, the local moving company who was contracted with my employer was unwilling to discount the price for shipping my 2002 Hyundai Elantra. That meant I would have to pay out-of-pocket for a portion of the move. After putting a large down payment on a new house in Philly, I didn't have the extra cash on hand to do that. So, after reading numerous laudatory reviews of AmeriFreight online, I spoke to Jessica, who gave me a quote of $495 for economy, open-truck shipping. Jessica also explained that there was an option to allow carriers to bid up to $200 more, if time was of the essence, which it was for me. Within an hour of speaking with Jessica, who was very professional and fully explained what to expect with the bidding & shipping process, we had a carrier bid for $650. That was still very acceptable because it was about HALF as much as the original moving company had quoted me. The carrier was IKA Group LLC, and my contact person was a friendly gentleman named Eldari. Both Jessica and Eldari were consistently available by phone, text, and/or email throughout the shipping process. Because the carrier beat me on the way up to Philly, I had to go meet Eldari in Bensalem, PA (15 miles outside of Philly) to pick up my Hyundai in the "yard." The yard was very dusty and dirty, because of high-traffic tractor trailors using dirt roads and dirt parking lots, but my car started fine and did not appear to be damaged during shipping. In sum, if you want to save hundreds of dollars by avoiding the inflated prices of name-brand, contracted movers, then do what I did...CALL JESSICA at AmeriFreight! Phone Direct: 678-608-0557. I have never shipped a car before so I didn't know what to do. I put a request online for quotes and I was immediately inundated with a barrage of quotes. Ameri-Freight was actually one of the first. I decided to check the top shipping companies by Google and according to the BBB, AmeriFreight was in the top 5. So I called them up. I actually needed to ship out the car fairly quickly as I was going to be taking a new job in California within 10 days. AmeriFreight said the earliest would be the 24th with 7-8 days shipping. So, I figured I'd rent a car for a couple days. Well, after submitting my deposit, a couple hours later I received a call about picking up my car on the 21st and that it would be there on the 26th when I arrived. I met the transporter at the local grocery store parking lot, he loaded the car, and it was in LA when I arrived. I plan to use AmeriFreight again when my wife moves to LA in a month. The one thing I was not expecting was that I would need to pay the auto transporter in cash the day of pickup. I thought I would pay the money to AmeriFreight and then they would pay the auto transporter. Nope. To me, this raised red flags. I don't know if that's because of my upbringing in this generation that just uses credit cards all the time or something else. It would have been nice to have been told this initially before I started the payment process. However, I did some more research after the fact and auto transporters do only take cash or money order as standard practice. My worries were eliminated. I ended up paying with a money order. I arrived in LA, picked up my car after some problems with the auto transporter (they gave me the wrong address), and I am now driving my beautiful Orange Challenger around LA. I will use again. read more

This is a review for AmeriFreight and Erica who works there (order No. 1501708008-JC). First I have to say the whole Auto Transport in general is a very "scummy" industry. Too many rip-off brokers saying they will do something for you and end up just stealing your deposit. And the too many transport companies that say they will be there and either cancel on you or not show up at all without notice. Also, any quote you receive is the least amount you will pay and not the most likely amount you will end of paying. So after reading many reviews I decided to go with AmeriFreight. I got my quote (least amount, which AmeriFreight was upfront about) and we were off and running. Erica and AmeriFreight started doing their thing and after telling her the date parameters (pickup & arrival) I needed to work with the fun started. There were a couple of small missteps along the way which were caused by the transport companies having issues, not AmeriFreight, but finally we were able to get everything done on time and the whole pickup & delivery couldn't have gone more smoothly. Erica updated my file with notes, which any of her other co-workers could inform me about when I called and Erica was unavailable. I appreciated that. I ended up paying about $100 more than my least amount original quote and I'm actually glad I did. I'm guessing I ended up with one of the best, most reliable transport companies in the business getting my car from South Florida to North Georgia in less than 24 hours. I ended up paying 180 (credit card) to AmeriFreight after they had the job scheduled and 455 (cash) to the transport company when they showed up with the car. Thanks Erica and AmeriFreight. read more

Journey of myCamery from San Diego to Portland, OR, overall its good. My Car had to move from San Diego to Portland, OR when I contacted Amerifright, Graham told me the fact that they are a brokerage company for vehicle transportation and they link up actual carrier and me for this movement. I was told that there is a carrier available either next day or the 2days from now and the delivery would require a minimum of 3-4 days for 1600 miles distance. As I need car for 2 more days, but I thought the car would be in portland by the time I reach there I have chosen to get my car picked next days and it will be 3 days by the time in portland to pick my car. The car was picked by CSA Auto carrier at 1AM the next day by Garik (driver) we quickly finished the paper work and he said car will be delivered to me in portland in 3-4 days. I reached portland on third days and took a rental car for 2 days just in case if myCamery is delayed. I was contacted Garik after 3day regarding the delivery time and he said he is stuck with some other car delivery and he will be there in 5-6 hrs on 4th day. And I called him on 5th days again and he said he will be there by afternoon that day and I was hopeful I can return my car as I took it for 2days. However the car was delivered to me in the evening at 10PM on 5th day in good shape. It was dusty due to rain as told by Garik but it was in same shape as it was picked. Though I had to pay for my rental car an extra day of rent. I was glad that car reached me in 5days as it is in same condition. So overall I give them a Good rating for this satisfactory service. read more

Very good experience overall. Ali Miller was great to work with. She was friendly and helpful each time I spoke with her on the phone. It took more than 15 days for her to find a carrier but she contacted me within that time and kept me posted. She changed the pick-up location to a larger city nearby which worked because she found a carrier shortly afterwards. It took approximately three weeks. The cost to transport my truck came to more than the original quote but was within the average cost from other quotes that I had received. The truck had to be driven to a location different from the address it was located at. A little inconvenient as I had to have family members coordinate with the carrier and drive the vehicle to where the carrier wanted to meet since I had already left the area. All-in-all the pickup went well. The carrier delivered the truck in six days which was sooner than I had expected. The truck arrived fine, no damage. The only thing to mention was it had oil on the top and right side of the truck. Not sure if it came from the vehicle above it during transport, but thats what it appeared to look like. It took a little scrubbing but I was able to clean it off and the truck looks fine. I would definitely recommend AmeriFreight to anyone looking to transport a vehicle. Just keep in mind they are a broker and not the company who actually hauls your vehicle, but they do appear to be selective in the carriers they use. I would definitely use them again if I had to transport another vehicle. read more

I got so lucky. I had no idea where to start as this was our first time having a car shipped cross country. I searched the internet and AmeriFreight's name kept popping up as the best company to use. I read the 5 star reviews and decided to try the company. I couldn't have been any luckier picking AmeriFreight. They were incredibly responsive right from the start. They assigned me a personal consultant and he answered every one of my thousand and one questions. He was very patient and thorough. He informed me of the entire process and helped me plan out the move. Even though we were in different time zones, someone was always available to answer my questions. They gave me an official quote (it was very competitive compared to the 3 others I called) and amazingly the final cost was lower than the quote. We ran into trouble since the car was in a gated community both upon pickup and delivery (I didn't think about the truck not being to get in and out of the gate) but they helped us through every aspect of this snafu. The car arrived without a scratch and sooner than we had expected. We are thrilled with the service and professionalism of this company. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and use them again if we ever need them. I highly recommend that you speak to AmeriFreight! Our order number was 1501599105-XH if you need to verify that we are truly customers. The company followed up with us afterwards to make sure all our needs were met. Very impressive! read more

This company is AWFUL. I would never recommend to anyone. I was quoted $1125 for a trip from NH to GA which was far more than the three other carriers I spoke with. I chose to go with another company that charged me $300 less and was nothing but pleasant. When I explained my situation to them they said this company AmeriFreight is known for price gouging and bad business practice. Shocker. When I told AmeriFreight I was going to use a different company they told to me they would be keeping my $225 deposit even though they were not rendering any services. I explained to them that over a month ago I decided against using them and would be going with a less expensive carrier and was confused as to why they had even posted my vehicle when I was contracted with another carrier. The manager never got on the phone and their customer service rep Samantha Smith hung up on me when I said I would be forced to dispute with my bank. Clearly the sales reps make a commission and are not looking out for the customers best interest, just their own pockets. I have NEVER heard of a company keeping such a large deposit when they have done nothing for you, or explained that this is their business practice. I am shocked at the lack of professionalism and their blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. My bank has assured me that this will be taken care of but would have been a heck of a lot easier to have had AmeriFreight do right by me and just refund my deposit in the first place. read more
