There is a small cafe that opens a little after 4am called Sugar Mill Cafe, just after you pass through TSA checkpoint. Picking up my luggage from baggage claim was a breeze and their carts were free - no need to pay for a SmarteCarte here. Overall, really great airport that's easy to navigate. I had an early morning flight and it was nice and peaceful. Also, I really enjoyed the music they played in the terminal during the morning hours: Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Erroll Garner, Paul Mauriat, etc.

There simply isn't enough traffic to maintain airline lounges or too many restaurants. That's all fine and dandy. What's not great is the one restaurant they do have in this airport. It struggles to handle the demands during any modestly busy times. I watched with disappointment as they forgot my order. Accidents happen, and I truthfully wasn't too mad or unpleasant about it. I requested an update on my order after about 30 minutes of waiting and it took them another 5 minutes or so to finish. Apparently, my experience wasn't unique. This is fine, stuff happens. But then the staff chose to talk trash about me for no reason. I'm still confused because I genuinely wasn't rude in the slightest to them.

They refunded the $ the agent charged my daughter for rebooking, acknowledging that the agent should not have charged my daughter. In addition, they apologized and compensated us for the inconvenience and aggravation by sending gift card. They also assured the Delta Daytona ticket agents will be reeducated on correct policies. I was satisfied with the resolution they provided.

Yes, you read correctly; they never notified us of the change that cost us a half a day, and more money than if we'd flown commercially from Atlanta. Now they have not responded to our inquiries for a refund for our 2nd leg, or confirmation that they were giving a credit for it. They used to have good planes and service; that is clearly no longer the case.

As soon as my flight landed the driver was communicated with me. The driver even told me that my luggage carousel had changed before the airline did. On the way back from our cruise, same interaction just another professional well mannered driver. Both vehicles that I rode in were extremely clean. Now this does cost more than a Uber or Lyft, but factoring in time and not having to search for your driver, the extra cost can be justified. I will be using them again the next time I am in Florida.

We sign the contracts, adhere to the terms and conditions given to us, we return the car filled up with gas, cleaned out, trash thrown away, and in the same shape and condition as it was at the start of the rental. In late April 2025 we rented a Nissan Sentra from Dollar Rental at the Daytona Beach Airport. The service at the counter was fine, the car was in good condition, and we drove from the airport to see our family. Right before returning the car, as we always do, we filled up with gas and threw out any wrappers or empty water bottles at the gas station. We returned the car clean and filled up - parked it in the lot and dropped the keys off with the staff at the counter - and then boarded our flight home. When we landed an extra charge was reported on my credit card for $100.01 for "interior cleaning." I tried to get someone on the phone, but the only way to reach this company is through an online form. I wrote that we returned the car clean and filled up and asked that the charge was lifted and / or for someone to contact me to explain. Three days later I received an email saying that the rental staff said they had to clean pet hair out of the car. I explained that we don't own pets, clearly did not travel with pets, and that we returned the car clean. They just responded to me (by email, again) with the exact same message about pet hair and that "We completely understand a customer may not wash or vacuum the vehicle prior to returning it to remove normal road grime, etc. However, other similar impurities require more time and detail to remove. In such instances, Dollar will assess a cleaning fee." This is absolutely crazy as we do not own any pets and did not travel with any pets, so the idea of "other similar impurities" (what is that?) is so frustrating. The terms and conditions for Dollar indicates that renters may be charged fess for cleaning that goes above "standard cleaning," which is fair. But cleaning up after a pet that doesn't exist means that above "standard cleaning" is something insane. "Standard cleaning" is also not defined. Don't rent here. I'm still trying to resolve this with Dollar and my credit card company is also trying. This is the first time I have ever written a review on Yelp, or any other site. This is also the first time I have ever sent in a complaint about a company. Do not rent here.

I prepaid for a car online specifically outlining my need for no insurance. HAD MY OWN. The customer service rude patrol had me scrambling for proof of insurance, which after 20 minutes informed me I didn't need after all. Eventually got my car,got to my location, and magically discovered on my bank account, I was being charged for insurance. I have been reading all the reviews, and it sure as hell appears we are all having the same nightmare experience. Horrible way to start a vacation. Their awful customer service explains why they are bleeding money :(

The entire facility was spotless, and while the breakfast selection was modest, everything was fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The location is fantastic and easily walkable to many spots. I was truly impressed by the outstanding service, which stood out compared to other hotels in its class. You can really tell the staff enjoys their work, and that made my stay exceptional.
