So I was back again, from an International trip and routed through Miami. I had only about two and a half hours before my connection to LAX. It was originally supposed to be over 4 hours (perfect for a relaxed lounge visit), but cut short by a flight delay and the slow and long line to go through security. Since I was not on a long haul flight, I had access to the Admirals Club. That lounge is disappointing and always very crowded. So I was willing to pay $150 for a little over 2 hours of better food and beverage. As I have said before, in terms of the selection of high end spirits, the Flagship lounge is amongst the best, even on the international stage. However, while their food selections (quantity and quality) are so much better than the Admirals club, it is still mediocre at best, if you compare lounges of international carriers at their home destinations. The general menu spread is similar to the LAX flagship lounge. There will be chicken, some type of fish, roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes or polenta, 4-6 salads, desserts, maybe a sandwich, etc. What is happening though, is that the flagship lounges are no longer a sanctuary for peace and quiet. I found the MIA lounge getting crowded. The servers did a good job of keeping the food choices replenished in a swift and seamless manner. The tables were cleaned almost immediately when passengers left. The lounge needs to be expanded to accommodate the increased traffic. And the seating, in general, needs to be upgraded to something more inviting and comfortable.

A great place to rest and recover before the next long flight. There is a good amount of seating and a variety of places to recharge. Lots of options for food and this past time I saw an omelette bar. The interior is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. We got to try a few dishes here including the crab cakes, grilled shrimp, and chocolate dessert. The cocktails were really good as well. It's truly an indulgence and the server was very helpful.

Wow! Huge with multiple seating everywhere. There are also lots of windows to view several outdoor scapes of the airport as well as indoor. They actually serve food here! Small salad bar with some southwest chicken (hot plate) mmhmm. There is a Coca Cola machine with a lot of options on there for soda beverages. Soup and cheese on a separate station. I got the tomato bisque, done very well! Put some pita chips in it and made it extra! They serve La Colombe coffee as well as several options like cappuccino, latte etc on the express machine. Milk, oat milk and half and half. Small dessert section with bits of brownie, rice crispies and this other cake thing. Showers are 30 min a piece, comes with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion and hair dryer. They give you all the towels you need for one person. Awesome hot water that never seems to end! Omg worth the money or free if you have a card/membership at a higher tier. Definitely make your long layovers here.

    Crazy awesome buffet.

Well, part of being delayed multiple days when traveling to Israel, is you get to spend a lot of time in the airports, and if you have lounge access, it can be really nice. As you can see from the multiple lounge reviews. Not surprised that Miami had a flagship lounge, and that it was as nice as the other ones in the big cities. I arrived Miami 7am from Tel Aviv after a 13 hour flight to Miami. Was amazed at how fast I flew through customs with my global access. Was through in 15 minutes and in the "Flagship" lounge with 3 hours to spare. This one was as nice as the Philly one, and same layout, except they had an omelette station, and the server doing the omelettes was fantastic. I am sure the Philly one had one as well, but I wasn't there in the morning. Considering all the delays, and how upset I am with American Airlines right now, the status and lounge service was great, and reason probably why I still fly with them.

This lounge is starting to show its age. It's not really a great lounge and the food is pretty mediocre overall even though they made some improvements there aren't better options in Miami unfortunately

Drinks- nice top shelf spirits and champagne (Piper Heidsieck). Deserves 4 stars. Food- basic items that you see at a buffet but not very appetizing. ( Charcuterie, chicken and steak). The soups are tasty but nothing fancy more like soup you find at Panera bread. Food is a 3. If you dine at Flagship Dining ( for international first class ticket), then the experience is absolutely a 5. The duck ravioli, grouper, arancini, and drinks are great! Service is excellent! Space- overall clean and tons of seating areas from business center, tv room, dining room, and overall casual seating throughout. I give it a 4. Service is great . 5 stars!

On my journey back home from Medellin, I had an unexpected overnight layover in Miami. After having spent a comfortable night in Brickell, I took an uber to Miami Int'l Airport several hours before my flight back to LA boarded. Since I had so much time to kill, I decided to hop into the AA lounge. I proceeded to pay for a day pass, and was pleasantly surprised to find that I had more than enough points to grant access for that day. I went ahead and made the transaction, and I took the elevated upstairs to the lounge area. The lounge was somewhat crowded, but it still had a decent number of seats open. I was able to grab a chair close to a TV, and I ate some split pea soup and sipped on espresso while I watched a tennis match. After a short while, I was informed that they were serving more food, so I went to get a plate of meatballs and a side salad. I also got more coffee, which tasted pretty good and packed a punch. I hopped into the restroom for a bit before heading back to the terminal to catch my flight. I noticed that this place is kept impecably clean, and the workers are constantly making sure the clients are well taken cared of. My only complaint is that the wi-fi was not working well. This meant that I couldn't take care of business I had pending. But it was not terribly urgent, however, so I only doc one star for this. If I had known that there were showers here, I would have brought a spare change of clothing. It would have been nice to take a hot shower before my flight to relax more, but I did shower that morning at my hotel, so no biggie. All in all, this is a great lounge. It's comfy, spacious, and they serve good food and coffee here. They just need to make sure the internet is working, and they will be a five-star establishment.

Not an Admiral Club member, but I was flying First/Business Class for work and had an opportunity to visit the lounge. It was a very smooth admission process for not being a member and the service desk/members were very hospitable. There is plenty of seating areas throughout the lounge, but I decided to sit at the bar. They had an extensive drink menu and some wine/spirits/beer options were complimentary. The snack bar was fully stocked and all dining areas were frequently cleaned. The restrooms were much much nicer (and cleaner) than that of the standard airport bathrooms, so I would definitely use them in the lounge before boarding. As for the dining options, I was recommended by the bartender to get the Cuban sandwich because, "hello...Miami, you have to get it". I had doubts being that we were in an airport lounge, but let me tell you, it was great! It did not disappoint and it definitely hit the spot. Overall, I had a great experience in this lounge and next time I'll try to spend a little bit more time and explore all the other amenities.

Always stop by here, especially when Centurion Lounge is overbooked. The food choices are not the best but being able to serve yourself some wine is a nice touch.

This is because the basic lounge has super basic food, and is usually fairly crowded. While AMEX is decent food but is WAY more crowded, and the first class lounge has a mix of food options but it's usually easy to find a space to sit in. For this experience, the lounge was good, I had a super small table shared by two of us, only one of us could use our laptop and even then, I was afraid that the drinks could tip at any moment and make it an ex-laptop. Service was good, they picked up empty dishes and cups with decent frequency, though the food options weren't amazing, though they had two food bars, one in the back, which were mostly cold options while the front one, with the 5+ minute line had hot food items.

I can only be there three hours before the departure time. You don't take him to consideration the time that you have to board. The place was empty. If it was full. I understand. They still required us to come back in 30 minutes. Tell you what went to the admirals club. They were happy to see us treated us with kindness. Not like they were doing us a favor. Quite frankly I always said it was so worth it for the travel benefits. But the last four times I've been to the lounge in different cities. There has been a weightless and an impossibility to sit down. Holding spots for Black card members, which is understandable. But the place and you have 10 tables available for more that you have for those Black card members. You really need to reassess that happened to us in Seattle. Is it worth it? When it's packed the ambulance horrible when it is not and you get there and they don't let you know. It's also horrible. There's no ambience to it.

It was one of those days when we really needed to use the lounge as we were on the road the entire day and kids were tired and hungry. We showed up the lounge and there was a lady turning people away, she kept asking them to come after an hour as they were at capacity. I totally understand if a lounge is at capacity and I was willing to wait but they refused to make a waitlist and kept turning people away. She refused to allow people to hang around the entrance as well. Inspite of it, I hung around the entrance for 10 mins and saw people quietly entering the lounge and not exiting. Then I entered as well and saw them accepting people again. This was literally 10 minutes later, several people were turned away earlier. This practice might have worked for them to maintain the crowds but it's extremely unfair to the people who got turned away just a few minutes earlier. Anyway, unfair practices aside the lounge itself is tiny. One to the smallest lounges I visited so far. Food choice is slightly more expansive than other lounges. Most of the dishes were from Mediterranean cuisine. Some of the items left a lot to be desired. The baklava was overly sweet and the falafels were extremely dry. The sandwiches and soup were decent though. The restroom wasn't very clean. One thing I noticed was the lady cleaning up, she kept working non stop the few hours I was in the lounge. She barely got any rest. I felt bad for her though at the same time I was impressed by her work ethics.

Unfortunately for Alexandra and her colleagues, the place is run by the miserable Catarena (she refused to provide her last name or any other identifying information and stated "just tell them Catarena in M-I-A Admirals Club"). We were connecting on a flight home via MIA and had some family with us. We went to the club at D15 and hung out there for about 30 minutes. We chose to move over to the D30 club, as our gates were much closer to that lounge. We arrived and my wife did not have her AAdvantage credit card with her. I showed the check in counter at D15 her card on the Citi app and they said it's no problem. We went over to D30 expecting a similar experience...but the polar opposite. Alexandra let me know she needed the Supervisor to make an exception. She didn't think it would be a problem, especially since the D15 club just let us in. Catarena came over with a negative attitude right from the start. It was apparent that she is one of the people who hates doing her job. I explained the situation to her and about how we had just come from the lounge at D15. She said she'd call them to "check" (as if I was lying). She said they don't remember letting us in, and said they let someone in with five kids and no one else so she could do the same. I explained we do not have five kids in the group. I also asked for the name of the person she spoke with. "You have my name, right? YOU asked for MY name, right? That's enough." I asked Catarena if she was going to help us. She refused to answer the question and kept going round and round with no answer and the stupid smirk on her face...you know it...the one terrible people in Customer Service use when they've "won" by upsetting a loyal, repeat patron. Catarena NoLastName finally set me off with her stupid smirk and disingenuous "have a nice day" in the most annoying and condescending voice. I gave her some choice words, wished her a terrible rest of her miserable life, and walked out with my family. Note: this club is the anomaly...it's horrible because they have a worthless Supervisor (Catarena NoLastName) working there...most Admirals Clubs are absolutely phenomenal!

This was especially odd because it was a salad bar situation where you had so many other ingredients to choose from, but at the end you can only dress it with the most basic option imaginable. My own birthday was celebrated there on karaoke night, and it was one of the most amazing and unforgettable nights. We also celebrated my niece's graduation on karaoke night, and it was another incredible evening filled with friends, family, laughter, and great memories. Seeing an employee post something so negative about an event that so many of us genuinely enjoy is disappointing. From the outside looking in, it seems like there's been a big shift in whoever is running these events. I recently attended both karaoke night and ladies' night, and the atmosphere was completely different from what many of us have come to love. FYI, karaoke night *brings people together*. I can't think of a single time we've gone and not had a great night. That's why this post doesn't reflect what 9 Feet Under has always represented to so many of us. If you work there and karaoke night is that terrible *for you*, maybe it's worth asking yourself why that is. Or perhaps this isn't the right environment for you. But please don't portray an event that has created so many positive memories for so many people as something negative, because that's simply not the experience the rest of us have had. Now you've lost customers!!
