There's no service in economy, but if you're sitting in first there's a quick drink and snack service. I was fortunate to have gotten upgraded on both flights, so I definitely was not peckish or thirsty. Delta operates the Embraer 175 aircraft on this SLC-IDA route, meaning in first class, it's a 1-2 configuration, while in economy it's a 2-2 configuration. The Embraer plane is one of my favorite aircraft because there's no middle seat (despite it being a smaller aircraft). The on-ground experience was left much to be desired. The check in process was efficient, but a tad friendly with the counter staff seemed a bit robotic as if they wanted to shoo customers away as quickly as possible. Also, when I arrived in Idaho Falls Airport, my bag took a very long time to arrive - nearly 20 minutes. There weren't any other flights arriving at that time, but bags took longer to come out on the belt. So while the flights were on time and the in-flight experience was good, the other aspects (on ground within the airport) were subpar imo. So with that I give the Delta experience at Idaho Falls Airport a solid 3* rating taking into consideration both in flight and on ground experiences.

I, my daughter and a stand-by were at gate having issues checking in using app. Gate keepers decided to help him and another stand by get in and stated couldn't help us check in. Next morning different worker announced names and would gladly help check in who hasn't. At Layover airpot in Seattle, ticket and app had wrong gate, missed flight. Their workers are not productive in helping but shoving it out to be your fault and making sure it verbally known. Most lack logical sense in thinking and genuine customer service. My suggestion check in way sooner. If app not working get to lobby to check in. And dont believe them when they point fingers, the workers and company lack accountability.

By the time I finally walked in, I was physically and emotionally drained. I was apologizing for being late and honestly worried about whether I would still have a place to stay. I had called and left messages because everything felt so uncertain. But the moment I arrived, the two people at the front desk made all the difference. They immediately engaged with me, listened, understood what I had been through, and even shared a few stories about other airport experiences. After the stress of the previous days, that kind of welcome meant more than they probably realized. They are always friendly, warm, and easy to talk to. They even had a fun Pajama Friday, which I thought was awesome. Because of that experience, I will absolutely be staying with them each time I am in town. Sometimes it really is the little things that matter most.

From the outside, the Candlewood looked kind of old but the inside was really nice. I guess there was a remodel not too long ago. Luckily there was one ADA room left. We were able to get all of our laundry done. There were 2 stackables. It was about $4 to wash and dry a load of laundry. Bring quarters. The shower was a beautiful walk-in, rock-tiled shower which my mom really enjoyed. There was ample space in the restroom area. The room was spacious and clean. My mom was able to navigate easily. We had 2 queen beds which served us perfectly. Walking along the river to the many various options for dinner was a treat. We ate at the Mexican food restaurant at the corner. That place was busy. Bar seating is not self serve. The enchiladas suiza and margaritas were fantastic. We were treated to custom omelettes the following morning. Other than the omelettes, it was the typical breakfast found at all the hotels. Great value. It was worth it to pay a bit more due to its location and amenities.
