I'm at Savanah Airport American Airlines Terminal catching a flight from SAV to LGA and I must mention the gate agent Heather, she was very pleasant and did a great job greeting and accommodating passengers. This is actually a "Chill" airport to fly from. I love the cute little kiosk in the center of this airport they actually have some nice finds, if you have time stop and take a look, you might find something perfectly suited for you. After shopping and on board my flight, the stewardess (Arnelli and Crystal) were nice and friendly. The plane was neat, clean, and cooled on this hot summer day, and of course they give you the little sanitizing wipe to help fight covid. Kudos American Airlines! read more

In a world of bad airlines who don't care about customers, American stands out. I've flown with them many times as I live near a hub. They routinely (80+%) take my bag despite knowing it will fit; which does not happen with other airlines. Most recent trip, I missed a layover as the airline decided to stop the plane from leaving to accommodate another customer who was about to miss our flight. On the same day I was sitting around 4 others who had all missed their layovers. Was meeting a friend on my trip; and they also missed a layover from a different area, due to mechanical issues where American loaded the plane and made them all off load. In an isolated incident all these things make sense, but all these things same day; ruined 1/4 of my long weekend getaway read more

When American Airlines are good which is very, very rare they're the best which is about 2% of the time. Wish I could transfer all of my flight miles to delta I would do it in a heartbeat. I have been to many airports and flown with many different airlines in my life. Never have I EVER experienced someone as rude as Heather from American Airlines in Savannah. I showed up to the gate 43 mins before my boarding time, have tsa precheck, and the airport was practically empty. Instead of choosing kindness or explaining why she cannot let me check my bag past the "cut off"(even though the plane had yet to board) she chose violence. She was snarky, condescending, and on a power trip. I understand there are certain rules in place. That is okay. But there is no need to be rude. Last minute traveling and American Airlines came through!! I The reservation lined moved quickly and showed teamwork getting passengers in needed areas on time. Checked bags and continued to gate. Needed assistance from transportation and the guy was extremely polite and friendly. Got through necessary areas and made it to gate much sooner than I expected. read more

Traveled today from Dulles to Charlotte and then Charlotte to Savannah. It was a good trip and on time but landing in both instances was bumpy and use of lots of brakes causing whiplike landings. Never prepared to give a factual info about your flight health requirements and they are completely rude. I must say the flight attendant staff were the rudest humans I have ever encountered. How are you in a customer service position and mistreat people? AA has a delay due to an on board computer, I get it. They tell us about a later connecting flight that has 40+ open seats, okay thanks. "Why are we seated separately with so many extra seats? " "Oh I can seat you together for an extra fee. " seriously? AA Rep did say we could request our seats together as soon as we get there. Well don't go out of your way for us AA! Had a horrible experience with American Airlines ,,the people at the check in counter in the ABQ airport treated us rudely and were not helpful at all. Had to call customer service and guy on phone was rude and short with me. I purchased tickets for $821 and due to some kiosk in airport not working was told missed baggage cut off and would have to get another flight. They would not change my flight or refund my first tickets.. in turn I had to purchase more tickets for $1100 ....a company this big doesn't care about their customers it seems for someone who deals with the public you do have to show some sense of compassion. I understand the whole TSA security issues but clearly when it is something else that should be taken into consideration..will never book with American Airlines again even if more affordable prices.. I've loved this airline and prefer it however they cancelled my flight and put me on a flight which caused me to lose 1 day 20% of my vacation. After I waited over an hour on line they lady that answered said I needed to go to aa.com to request any form of compensation, she could not do anything. The new flight left an hour late and left me running through the airport to catch the last connecting flight to Seattle. I feel absolutely ripped off and can not believe after contacting customer service as told, using other outlets like Facebook and now yelp, there is no outreach nothing! Got on the plane and there was MORE than plenty of room. Got to my final destination and they lost my bag. 24 hours later still have not received my bag AND they refuse to give any time estimate of when they will be getting it to me. What an amazing experience checking in for our flight!! Our group of 7 with a total of 26 bags and many required TSA inspection, tags and stamps. The attendant was very friendly and got us all taken care of in less than an hour. She also ensured we were all TSA precheck and/or priority boarding for those without precheck. I wish I knew her name to give her a by name compliment. The other part of our group flew Delta and their experience wasn't as expeditious or smooth. Awesome job AA and TSA!! read more

I wish 0 stars was an option. This airline NEVER, I mean NEVER is on time, which frequently causes missed connections and some of the longest travel days you could imagine. In this case I'll miss the rental car because I won't arrive until midnight to my destination, so still working on a solution for that. I'm not one to leave reviews but I am so sick of American Airlines having delayed or cancelled flights that it's worth warning people looking for flights: DO NOT FLY WITH AMERICAN AIRLINES, YOU WILL REGRET IT AND PROBABLY WON'T MAKE IT TO YOUR DESTINATION ON TIME! We paid for premium seats and as we were going through the gate they changed then from row 10 to row 20 and tried to convince me that it was the same. Im giving this airline in general a big Fat Zero. Will never ever use this airline for my traveling again. I understand weather problems, but they lost our luggage! We tried and tried to find out where our suitcases were, and no one would give us a real answer. I came to terms we just would have spend our vacation without being able to wear our nice clothes.
