I was very nervous, I'd never been in a hot air balloon before, and the owners were absolutely wonderful when it came to knowledge, safety and providing the right information to make me feel extremely at ease. Dave was our pilot and he was absolutely fantastic. Our flight with him was the highlight of our trip to Zion and southern Utah. The views are literally breathtaking. It was so peaceful, serene and beautiful. My husband and I highly recommend you book a flight with Zion Balloons.. we guarantee you will be happy you did!! Then, just five days before our arrival, we were informed that our house had been given to another family. The company admitted the mistake was their fault, yet told us there was nothing they could do except offer a much smaller house that could not accommodate our group. What made the situation even worse was their attitude. They stated they would not inconvenience the other party who booked after us, despite acknowledging that we had reserved the property first and that the error was entirely theirs. The lack of accountability, poor customer service, and complete disregard for our family's plans was extremely disappointing. I would never book with this company again and would strongly caution others before trusting them with their vacation accommodations.

The place was fantastic - comfortable, well furnished, fully stocked, and clean as a whistle - and the grounds are well maintained. We found the owners to be knowledgeable, efficient, helpful, and pleasant. This place is close to everything. It is a beautiful 20 minute drive to the entrance to the Zion National Park; only about a 15 minute drive to Quail Creek State Park or Sand Hollow State Park, and a 10 minute drive to Grandpa's Pond. Our grandsons loved fishing from the dock at Grandpa's Pond, tubing down the Virgin River and seeing all of the fantastic rock formations in Zion and Bryce Canyons. Our favorite place to eat turned out to be Arkansas Al's Steak House in the Majestic View Lodge between The Orchard and the entrance to Zion. We did our original food stocking at the Wal-Mart Super Store in Hurricane (about a 10 minute drive from The Orchard) and did our restocking at The Farmers Market in La Verkin. We celebrated my 72nd birthday at The Orchard. Fantastic. We loved our stay at The Orchard, and will certainly return!
