American Arborists was a referral from a dear friend. They did such a beautiful job on his trees and he also told me they did the trees at UNR. I was sold. We scheduled and appointment and they came out and walked me through every tree on my property and we came up with a game plan. Hey emailed me a quote (very fair price by the way) and I called to get on the schedule. They came on time and did a fantastic job. I have seven trees, a Silver Maple, a giant Sycamore, a Weeping Cherry, a Cherry Plumb, a Flowering Crab Apple, a Scotch Pine and a Flowering Pear. They cleaned up every single branch and leaf they brought down. And is was a lot of debris. This was in 2020 and just today after a consultation about my beautiful Weeping Cherry which was dying they came out and took her down. American Arborists makes the entire process easy and simple. I had a huge silver maple that died and called this crew to cut it down and grind the stump out. They had the best price I could find for such a huge job. They showed up on time with all the right equipment and got the job done not only quickly but professionally. The guys are efficient, friendly, and know what they are doing. My huge tree was taken down in under a day, the stump ground down so you could never tell it was there - they cut and stacked my firewood neatly and cleaned up as they went. We had a lot of storm damage to our trees and knew that each tree needed to be taken care of individually. We were so fortunate that American Arborists came out in a timely manner to do the quote. First thing I noticed, they knew the names of all of our trees. He took his time looking over the damage and taking thorough notes. He was also so kind to take a quick look at a tree that was having some health issues and gave a quote and guidance on helping that tree. When the guys came to trim and prune, they did a great job making sure they understood all of the notes from the first visit and ensured what each tree needed. They also came and checked before they did any extensive cutting to make sure that I was comfortable with it (the tree would end up with a hole on one side due to the extensive branch damage from the storm). They were professional, kind and genuinely caring. They did a great job making the trees look good and cleaning up after themselves. This company is the best! So in the long summer months, I had called to them after hitting walls from other companies who were too busy to even give me an estimate. They sent someone the next day, and although I wasn't ready to do the work at that time (due to finances) they said to call them at any time when I was ready. My sister, who lives next door, also asked for a quote while the guy was at my house and they came out the next week to complete her work. Well for me, several months later, I called them and they came out the next day. When they arrived, I apologized for not having had a chance to clean up the collection of neighborhood leaves that had blown into my yard, and they said it was no problem for them. When they finished, they not only cleaned up their debris but added all of the leaves to the collection, no charge! I was left with a very clean from yard! The American Arborists crew came out to prune and shape my 80-year-old Siberian elm tree. They showed up on time, performed a safe and expert trimming of my tree, and removed all the debris. They also removed a dead apple tree at minimum extra cost. This large tree is the focal point of my back yard and they did an excellent job on it. I can't wait to see what it looks like this summer in full leaf. I have other large trees in my yard and I will definitely have American Arborists back to care for them. read more

Joel and his team did an amazing job on my property yesterday, I can't recommend them enough. These guys seriously went above and beyond what I needed them to do and I am so grateful. I had two trees that needed removal, a stump that needed to be ground down, a bunch of wood that needed to be hauled off, and a new tree had to be planted. These guys not only did all of this, but they also trimmed up my other tree with low laying branches and cleared my fence line from my neighbors tree creeping over into my property. Then after they completed the work I needed, they raked, and used a blower to make sure everything was clean, they even cleaned the mess my gardener left the day before! Just had a tree removed 09/11/2020. Pablo and other guy worked very hard to get it done. Backyard is cleaner than it was plus they raked up the leaves. This is a great service. I've used them several times. This time I needed a wild plum trimmed. The limbs were down to the ground. I wanted them trimmed but didn't want to lose the tree. It looks great and the tree survived. Also had a pine tree that needed cut back some to give my shrubs some sunlight. They were booked out into October but my job was fairly small and they worked me in early. Very reasonably priced, courteous and professional. Cleaned up after the job. read more

These guys are aces. This is the second time I've used their service. The first time was to have a 70 foot Pin Oak pruned and opened up. They did a quick and a beautiful job. Even my neighbors have commented. This time I had them come over to remove four tree stumps in my backyard. We hired them to remove our existing tree, going out the stump, and install a new tree. We needed a couple of overgrown trees trimmed, one of which was growing into a neighbor's driveway. I contacted American Arborists and they were extremely responsive. We got a reasonable quote and very quickly. At first they thought that they could not fit us in the schedule for several weeks but they called back about a week later since they had a cancellation. American Arborists did a fantastic job. The entire team from the GM to the Foreman and his crew were exceptional. We had a 35-year-old pine tree fall onto our neighbor's house and we were in need of removal immediately. Luckily for us American Arborists was able to remove the tree the same day. Not only did they do a precise and expertise job removing the tree, the crew cleaned everything up and left the premises without a trace that they had been there. We have used American Arborists 3-4 times in the past few years, and have been more than satisfied. However, this time was a completely different experience. In April, we received a fair estimate from James to remove an ash tree that was planted in a large paver planter in our backyard. About a week later a crew came to remove the tree and grind the stump. The crew broke one of the wall caps on the planter and the stump grinder was not working. I was assured that they would find a new wall cap and come back to grind the stump once they had repaired it . 10 days went by with no contact regarding the completion of the job, but I did keep receiving email notices of our past due invoice. I called the office and spoke with Tiffany. She said they were working on it, and the system is automated to generate past due notices. Ultimately we had to find the replacement wall cap and call them to tell them we had it. After a couple more phone calls, a man did return to grind the stump, but complained they should've given him a crew, and he'd have to come back to clean up the mulch. He also took the wall cap replacement to take back to the shop to cut it. Another two weeks and more follow up phone calls. In the meantime we cleaned up the ground stump mulch ourselves. When he returned to replace the cap, there was no apology for the lengthy repair, nor any mention of the cleaned up mulch from the worker or Tiffany in the office. They did, however, continue to send more past due emails regarding the invoice. Once the job was complete, they cashed our check very promptly. No discount was offered or given for our time and trouble. read more
