They answered any question I had. They were very welcoming and joyful. They were cracking jokes like I've known them for years. Every single person on shift was fantastic. Secondly, I was scoping around bucks county for a gun store with reasonable prices as well as a decent selection. And I must say Tanners has some of the best prices around and a pretty wide variety. I will say, there is an occasional firearm I believe is over priced. But having 9/10 firearms being relatively cheap is a solid deal. Gotta give em props for that. Thirdly, and lastly. They didn't bombard me as I perused their selection. I walked in, they welcomed me, and that was it. They were also jovial with the people I was companioned with. And the entire process for purchasing was clean, straight forward, and quick. I genuinely cannot recommend these guys enough. This may have been my first real time here. But it most definitely will not be the last.

I don't often write reviews, but my experience with Johnathan was just too good to go unannounced…read more First off, if you've ever been in the market for a high end competition gun like a K80, you'll know that many of the folks that sell them aren't that friendly unless your budget is in the many tens of thousands. Even when this budget is met, they give you this feeling like you are lucky to do business with them. My dealings with Johnathan were the exact opposite. First off, I was looking for a stock, barrel and receiver configuration that is somewhat unorthodox. When working with other dealers prior to Johnathan, I was unable to find anyone willing to build a gun to my specs. The other dealers only wanted to sell me a completed firearm, without offering me the modularity the platform provides. Furthermore, their offerings were of the highly engraved varieties that were well out of my budget. This went on for months. Then, a good friend of mine and fellow sporting clay shooter recommended Johnathan / Shamrock Sporting Arms. He said he had nothing but great experiences and to give him a call. Johnathan immediately picked up the phone, LISTENED to my needs, and set up an appointment for the SAME DAY. This theme of speed and efficiency has continued past the sale, but more on that soon. At my appointment, Johnathan was extremely personable, professional and friendly. He has a vast inventory of Krieghoff parts and accessories to choose from, and he's well acquainted with his entire inventory by memory. We went over all my options (which he had laid out prior to my arrival) and I was able to hand pick the exact wood set, receiver, barrels and chokes that fit my taste and needs. His pricing was excellent, honest and straightforward, as was the consignment process of my DT11. Once we finalized the deal, Johnathan expedited my new build over to his well qualified gunsmith for a professional fitting of all the parts. Within a couple days he had my project in hand, exactly as he promised, with a fresh coat of oil he applied himself. Johnathan then worked with my busy schedule for an after - hours pickup of my gun, so that I could compete in a tournament this weekend. To this point he bent over backwards to make me a happy customer And succeeded beyond expectation. As luck would have it, through no fault of Johnathan's or his gunsmith, a small, internal retaining screw broke inside the gun. Could have happened at any time. Luckily it's a krieghoff and it's a tank, so I was able to temporarily fix the gun to complete the tournament. When I called Johnathan for support, I believe this is when I had the privilege of seeing his true character. He not only took my gun back the same day for repairs, but was incredibly apologetic, despite having no blame whatsoever. Not only that, but he hand delivered it to me close to home to save me the drive...IN UNDER 12 HOURS HE HAD MY GUN FIXED AND BACK IN MY HANDS. All I have to say is Johnathan clearly lives by a certain code of ethics that he extends well into his business, customer service and after sales support. From beginning to end, you're treated with respect, honesty and fairness. He's also a hell of a nice guy and a wealth of knowledge. I'd recommend him to family and friends, and I'll definitely be using his services for my next project. If you don't give Johnathan at Shamrock Sporting Arms a call, you're doing yourself a disservice. Full stop.

Some people have complained that there are lines and it can take a while-to be fair that means they are popular and have a lot of business. One of the tell-tale signs of a good place. Do you really want to go to some place other people don't trust?

Not the store - sales staff is good but my loyalty no longer belongs with that store. Shame too, they are less than a mile away and it's a running joke among shooters about how awful the place is. But the last several visits to the range were the same: rude staff, constant nitpicking, ridiculous rules they make up on the fly that has nothing to do with safety, and the general feeling that customers are purely an inconvenience. Recently, 12 family members in town, including kids 12-16. Wanting a fun & safe range day with ARs, an MP5, handguns, and suppressors, etc.. Target World was a hard no because I knew what the experience would be. I saw how they treated my last friend from out of town who had significant experience. Ridiculous. We went to Survival Trail, had an absolute blast, spent well over $500 that day on ammo and range fees. Worth every penny. I have a lot of money to spend and guns to buy. Target World won't see another dime of it - Honestly don't think they care either. Their NFA services are also great; I hate dealing with paperwork, but they make it fast and easy. Their engraving services are also the best I've seen the area. I purchased a used Steyr Aug stock from them on GunBroker. They said it was in perfect condition…read more The stock arrived with a hairline crack. I contacted them and asked for authorization to return the stock. They said: they couldn't see the crack; the crack wasn't serious; it wasn't cracked when they sent it; they had a photo showing it wasn't cracked; they did not insure it when shipping; they would not accept a return; I should try to get Steyr to warranty the broken stock. I contacted my credit card company and told them I had done so. Then they seemed more interested and said: we will send you a return label; we will refund you when we get the stock back; we have a brick-and-mortar store and lots of great reviews. I don't believe any of it. Their customer service is angry and rude. They implied several times that I was trying to cheat them in some way. I said: I will just let my credit card company handle it from here. Then they reported my emails to them asking for a return to Amazon AWS as spam (weird) and left a dishonest review for me on GunBroker. They've had 40 bad reviews on GunBroker since they signed up on July 5, 2016. I've had one (from them) since I signed up on March 12, 2000. I'd recommend never buying anything from them.

Bunker Shop in Chalfont has some slightly better deals for lower end guns, but Clayton's almost always has specials or raffles and plenty of stock. There's a reason why they've been in business so long and if you try a few ranges in the suburbs you'll see why they're the most popular. Staff is always helpful and when they try to sell you on a new firearm they don't make it feel pushy, at least to me. I think their memberships may have gone up slightly since the last time I purchased one a few years ago, but it's still a great deal for a family plan.

First off, no real shooters buy ammo at gun shops, the cost per round is far too high.
