I am really disappointed in my experience. I took my car to American auto Body for an insurance claim. I had the opportunity to go anywhere and was considering caliber collision because I've used them and trust them. However I wanted to give AAB my business being a local shop I wanted to support them. The service took very long to complete which is fine except I called after they had my car for 4 weeks to check on the status and they said it just needs to be painted should be done by the end of the week. Great! I called back at the end of the week and they said next week. Okay fine, called EOD on monday and they said NEXT WEEK!! Gosh, I was frustrated but I chalked it up to them doing a thorough job and not having the resources bigger places have. I go pick up my car when it's finally ready and I have a flat tire. On the side where I collided with a deer which was the reason I brought my car in... they aired it up and said it should be fine. Well Next morning woke up and it was flat. I called them back to ask what they did to fix the tire because I noticed it looked like the old tire and had deer fur still stuck in the rim. They said we didn't do anything because "deer don't affect tires when they hit cars" they told me to take my car to a tire shop if I want it fixed... I called my insurance and let them know what was said. So we called AAB on a 3 way call where Denise told me on the phone "your tires were inflated when you brought them in" I replied with "I am looking at photos I submitted with my claim and they are actually deflated. And Denise said "oh okay" after going back and forth they said I could bring my car back in but there was no telling when they could get to it or IF they would fix it. And whatever the response time was for them to look at it I'd have to go back through my insurance and pay partial for a rental car. I already had been without a car for 25 days because they were "fixing" it. Overall it was an awful experience. They didn't end up fixing my tires and I had to pay out of pocket. Really disappointed and was hoping to really support local businesses. read more

My front bumper needed to be replaced from a car wash accident. Denise gave me my estimate options quickly either to paint or replace. They were on top of ordering my bumper and also a shout out to Jeff who was kind and made us feel like our car would be well taken care of. This is the second time that we have used their service and we highly rate their expertise, the quality of the work and all employees are top notch. My car was even washed when I picked it up. I would give 10 if l could! Thursday l got in my car to go to work and already dreading rush hour in terrestrial morning rain, I had to deal with the monsoon that was happening on the passenger's side! My seat was puddles, the floor saturated and the headliner and visor were draining a heavy and steady stream! Great! I called my dealer who quoted me $200 JUST to diagnose it and then a possible few days in the shop to repair and dry the water damage, oh, and l would need to rent a car for a few days. What!! I called my local repair shop, Pugh's who instantly told me to call Jeff at American Auto-body. Jeff answered the phone right away and told me to come right over. His shop was super busy so l prepared myself for a long wait. He came in and grabbed my keys and 15 minutes later he handed them back, told me about the issue and reassured me it was repaired and wished me a Merry Christmas! I asked him for the amount owed and he refused payment. People and companies like this actually do exist! He has no idea how much easier he made my life by his act of kindness! The facility was clean and organized! American Body has a new customer and l will not hesitate to go there should l need a complex repair or body work done! Oh, while l waited for my car, I witnessed Denise in the friend office fighting an insurance company on behalf of a customer! They work hard to get it done! I cannot recommend this company enough ! We brought in our car after a minor wreck that left an ugly dent in the driver's side back panel. Not only were they professional and helpful, but my car was beautiful fixed. I suspect they even popped out a door dent that prevented my passenger side door from closing properly from an entirely unrelated incident. If this was indeed performed by then, they did this without being asked and at no additional charge. Their care and attention to detail have made me a lifelong customer. I will be returning should I need any further body work. Excellent job! read more

They got the job done, but it took way longer than promised. The primary guy I dealt with was nice enough, but he was just the messenger having to face the customer with bad news. "We ordered the wrong part, we're really busy because of deer season", etc. Not big on customer service. Car wasn't detailed at the end. They insisted on cash payment but didn't have any money to make change. As a final insult, an interior knob was lost and they wouldn't take responsibility. Overall, pretty disappointing. If I could give them a negative star, I would. This company did an okay job on removing the hail damage from my vehicle, but took longer than expected, did not replace the parts with authentic (same-make/company) pieces, and worse-- they left a chip on my car. When we brought it to their attention (prior to taking the vehicle off their premises), we were told that if they did it, they would have fixed it and that we might not have known it was there. It was their word against ours. However, I am meticulous and know every scratch, ding, mark, and/or dent on my vehicle, and this was a new one. I will never bring any vehicle there nor would I recommend them to anyone I know. Horrible experience and horrible customer service. Update: First off, personally attacking someone for an honest review is not professional. Secondly, I did have this experience there, and the "okayness" of the hail damage job was because the hail damage was done to a somewhat satisfactory level, however the job was tarnished due to additional damage was done to the vehicle. The chip in the paint was about the size of a pinhead. (And yes, I do pay that much attention to my vehicles.) And thirdly, we did inquire and report the chip in the paint and were told that it was our fault, even though it was not there prior to taking the vehicle in. And of course, I did not think to take pictures of my vehicle or document the entire car before trusting it to "professionals." Lesson learned. Personally, I would take my vehicle to another shop and next time document the entire vehicle. read more

They repaired my Equinox after someone ran a red light and T-Boned my car. The work they do is exceptional and I couldn't be more happy.
