Go to a custom shop, purchase an Apple CarPlay enabled radio, get it installed, and done right? Nope!!! I went from one shop to another to only be told it can't de done. Determined I called Infiniti and asked what could be done at all? Infiniti told me if it could be done Titan Motoring was the place to go. I called Titan Motoring that day. The Gentleman at the desk said you called the right place.. If it can be done "Ray" is the "Man".. Yes he is!! Ray made it happen. I now have Apple car play in my ride. Asked for a quote via Yelp, they told me I had to bring in the vehicle for an estimate. I did, and I'm glad I did because I don't like the way they conduct business - by bashing others. They say most places don't do the work properly and we asked how they would do it - afterward, I asked a few places how they would make the fix we need, and these other places said the same things. They also talked about how they only need the vehicle for 3-5 days and most places don't have availability and take the car for 2-3 weeks. I've communicated directly with about 10 spots and they all had availability in the coming week as well as taking the car for just 3 days. I know this is a sales technique, and I don't appreciate it. These guys have done a bunch of work for me. When I had my commander, my wife wanted to still be able to flip up the backseat to haul kids around and I wanted to have some extra sound. CHRIS helped me figure out a solution, which was a thin helix 10 inch sub box that fit perfectly behind the third row seat in the back. It fit great. Now that truck is not doing well anymore so I went to them again to ask how to get the equipment into my new truck and they help me find a solution for that. And even though the original estimate was too much for me to pay right now they found a way to, let me build the system overtime. They just put the touchscreen radio that was in my jeep back in my new truck and everything is very professional and done well. I look forward to getting the rest of the work done. Unfortunately I had a subpar experience with a running board installation. Essentially there are two ways to install these boards: a lazy way and a professional way. They did the lazy way. They also charged me more than the estimate given. Finally, when I arrived for my appointment it took 1.5 hours before they even started working on my vehicle. I called 3 different area Ford Service Centers (including the one I bought my 3 month old Mustang from) to install several Ford Performance parts. My dealer said, "We don't do that here. We send people to other locations for that" and the others never returned my voicemail or email. I should've known Ford doesn't want this kind of business when, as I finished signing the paperwork, we had this conversation: Ford Sales Guy: "Remember, if you do any upgrades, be sure to install Ford Performance parts!" ME: "Naturally. And I can get that done here right?" Ford Sales Guy: "Ummm... Well, uhhh...[looks around the office in a sweaty panic] I'll have to check on that for ya. I stopped in, expecting to drop a lot of money on a new remote start for my car, and instead, not only did they manage to save and repair my current remote start, they replaced my busted up key fobs - all for significantly less than I was anticipating. Service was quick - my car was done within the hour that I was quoted - and the gentleman who helped me (I feel bad for not confirming his name before I left, but I think it was Mike?) was friendly and knowledgeable. I just have to shout out that I REALLY appreciate him - he didn't try to throw a new system at me for more money - he wanted to try and save my existing one (and save me money), which he did! Titan Motoring is truly a specialty shop that focuses on customer satisfaction before, during and after the sale. Philip makes great product recommendations and I know that his installation work is incredible. The first time I met Philip for my alarm install he was even complementary of the subwoofer box that I had made from a big box retailer. He stated that the work was good and that the installer probably would not stay in the big box installation industry and maybe go to a specialized car audio store. He could have been disparaging, but instead he chose to be professional. I really only planned on getting the head unit, but that quickly turned into my wanting a leveling kit, K&N intake and new tires installed as well. I was happy to learn that they provide all of those services! Not only do they provide the other services I was looking for, but the service was excellent!!! They steered me in the right direction on the largest tires I can use with the leveling kit I was wanting.
