While on his way to Nashville, he had a minor incident (backed over a stump) which damaged the skid plate and part of the bumper on his vehicle. I was rear ended by a Lyft driver back in July (so Nashville right?). After some research, I chose Childress because of their high ratings and they did not disappoint. I didn't have major damage on my car, but after it's been fixed, it looks so perfect. After calling, I came out to get a quote and Charles was so patient and kind. I really appreciated that he walked me through each part that would need to be fixed. Due to the delay in everything right now, I couldn't get in until October. They had my car for about a week and Charles called me a few times to let me know they were working on it and how it was going. There was one small hold up (a day or two) due to a part and it made a world of difference that he called me to let me know, rather than letting me wonder what was going on. I am writing this review with THE highest gratitude in my heart. The service Childress has provided me throughout the last several months has been exceeding. In the beginning of March a driver nearly totaled the side of my car making the door unable to use. Because it happened the day of the tornado, every shop was booked up for months out so I wasn't able to bring my car in until late April. When I did bring my car in, it was covid-19 but the service was still amazing and very socially distant. Curbside drop off, rental car pick up, and then I was back to pick my car up within a week. Upon picking up my car I went back home to quarantine and didn't use my car for another bit of time and didn't realize that the window of the door that had been smashed wasn't working- so when I did realize this quite a bit of time later I called and they told me to bring my car right back and immediately ordered the parts. When I brought my car back today for the little window fix, they even fixed my door handle that was loose because they are AMAZING and that's the service you will get if you come here. I would like to start off by saying that there is no chance I would give this Childress Collision 5 stars, even though the performed decent work on my truck. I have full AAA coverage and brought my truck in with $2k worth of front-end damage (mostly bumper). I talked with the front desk gentleman and informed him I wanted my truck re-aligned, breaks checked, as well as some interior damage fixed that happened during the accident. The gentleman informed me that he (Childress Collision) would handle the situation and get back to me with an estimate. Two weeks later, I was called by Childress and informed that my truck was finished and that I could pick up my truck. After dropping off my rental and taking time off work to make it during business hours, I arrived to find my truck not completed. The bumper was fixed but Childress informed me that they did not re-align my truck fix the interior damage, or check my breaks. Instead they politely told me to call a break specialist and pointed me in the direction of some business cards on their counter. At this point I was irritated and a bearded gentleman from the back came out and informed me AAA wouldn't approve of the repairs. I asked him why I had not received a phone call or email and he informed me that he contacted AAA and there was no need to contact me. I informed him that it was my truck, my choice to bring the truck to Childress, and that I should have been informed if work was not being done that we had already agreed to. The bearded gentleman told me that he didn't even know if Childress had contacted me for repair information and that he had 30 clients and couldn't keep track of contacting them all. Yes., literally told me he couldn't be accountable for his job and inform his clients of what work was or was not being done because he was overwhelmed? I immediately called AAA and inquired and the AAA rep informed me that they would pay for the repairs and I could leave my truck at the shop longer to get repairs. While Childress did do good work on the truck that they actually performed, I chose not to leave my truck longer and take it elsewhere. Childress online reviews are all 5 stars from what I was reading online and that is the reason I chose to go there. They definitely lack in communication and accountability. Good work put I guess this goes down as another company who lacks in professionalism. All this could of been resolved with a simple call to your customer. read more

I recently had a mishap between my car and my garage door. Chose Childress based on reviews on multiple sites. They totally lived up to their stellar reviews. Process was simple: set up a time to bring my car in for an estimate. I arrived a few minutes early and was seen right away. That process took less than 5 minutes and I was on my way. A few hours later I received a quote by email. I gave them the go ahead to order parts. Took a couple of business days to arrive. Set up appointment for repair in two days. My car was taken back immediately. Repair completed a bit faster than promised and slightly under the quoted price. Courteous and personable staff. And it was absolutely worth it to get my vehicle to the elite level of collision repair. It took a good amount of time - that was to be expected given the amount of damage - but they dealt with extending the rental, communicating with the insurance company, and fielding my slightly impatient inquiries, in a very professional manner. The worst case scenario.... brand new semi rare care, reversed into, full replacement of the bumper, hood and grille required. Not fun... but Childress took care of it and my car looks brand new (wife said better than brand new!). Very happy with the degree of customer service and level of work. Awesome experience, very satisfied. Minor scratches that I made worse by trying to fix them myself. The Childress team quickly scheduled me for a quote, explained my options and got me an estimate quickly. They were a couple weeks booked up so I made my appointment and told them if a spot opened up to give me a call. Later that week they called and had me in by the following Monday. Less than two weeks start to finish. Intake and pickup was pleasant and most importantly the work was meticulous. We dropped off our vehicle one week ago and picked up today (one week later). After pre-arrangements were made to do an interior detail , were told that it was not completed. Candi checked with the person designated to complete and upon returning told us "she has 12 vehicles to get out today" and doesn't have time. She provided a number of a service that she said would be 50-75% more expensive and was on the other side of Nashville and thanked us for our business. Great place! Professional and very nice! I had an accident with a deer and had front end damage. I called them and they towed my car in and within a week it was ready. I picked it up and drove it home. The AC wasn't cooling like it should. I gave them a call and they told me to bring it in. They rented me a car and fixed my AC and within 5 hours it was ready. I submitted a request for a quote to fix scratches on my car on yelp and heard back right away! Candy asked me to come by so they could look at it. When I came by, someone came out and told me the scratches weren't through the paint and he could get them off right then--and he fixed it! While I do feel slightly embarrassed for wasting their time, I'm very grateful for their help!! I would have 100% believed them if they had told me I needed an expensive repair, and so I really appreciated them not charging me for my not-a-real-problem.
