The doctors of American Back Center crafted a customized plan to treat my car accident injuries. I have nothing but praise for the Rosenthal Clinic. I first visited nearly ten years ago due to a back injury/disc problem. While I was unable to go through their revolutionary Vax-D treatment, the chiropractor was able to manually put the disc back in place, and to this day I have no disc back pain! Other doctors recomennded surgery ... these folks are great! With regard to their testing and diet recommendations - I, too, was a nonbeliever. I've come to learn that much of what we eat, from processed foods to plain old wheat, is really bad for many of us. By following the (sometimes rigid) diet protocols I have come to live a happier and healthier life. I will say that their billing system is pretty fraught with errors. You'll have to audit your bills, but isn't that the standard these days with all health care providers? If you have ANY health issues, it's worth a visit to their wellness clinic. I have felt comfortable in this office since my very first visit. The staff takes a really caring approach to chiropractic care. Their focus is on holistic and nutritious methods. I seem to learn something new each time I walk through their doors. Dr. Gomez is a particularly warm chiropractor. She pays close attention to ensure she understands all of your pain issues before each treatment. When I injured my back this summer the pain was so intense that I almost checked into the emergency room. I couldn't sleep, was popping pain pills every two hours for days, called in sick to work (almost considered short term leave) and couldn't complete basic tasks like tying my shoes, brushing my teeth or even sleeping in my preferred position. I called my general physician and he told me he didn't know enough about back issues to provide me with a proper diagnosis. I researched through my insurance company's website and couldn't find any back specialists. As a last resort I went to Yelp and thankfully I did because I came upon The American Back Center. I had never been to a chiropractor before because I never experienced back pain so I wasn't sure what to expect. From the second I called to make an appointment I was put at ease by the professionalism and warmness of the receptionist. She scheduled a consultation for me to visit with Dr. Chris and they made time for me right away. Dr. Chris was extremely professional, knowledgeable, funny and helped me FULLY understand exactly what was happening and what his recommendations were for a plan. My MRI showed that I had a herniated disc (disc bulging) which freaked me out because I didn't know what this meant in terms of recovery. Dr. Chris was there again with his staff to ease my anxiety and lay out a comprehensive plan that involved light physical therapy and Vax-D treatments. Almost all of the staff that work there have experienced severe back problems at some point in their life so they are the first to share their experiences and are walking examples that the treatment works. I got back ache about a year, it was keep bothering me but I didn't know what really caused it and how to deal with it. Tried back strap but it just released the pain a little bit when I wore it, it didn't get my situation better. The first time I went to the clinic, Chris was very patient and guided me to walk thru all what I did, and explained to me very clearly why the back pain happened. He drafted a plan for me, and it worked out really fast, after the first week, I can already feel the reduce of the pain, and by end of the 4th week, I almost barely feel the pain. Scheduling was also great, always on time, finished quick on every session, but still very kind talk, and what's most important is, it worked! I don't need to wear the back strap (nor does Chris recommend it), and I barely feel the pain. Probably after the 4 weeks intense cure, still will need some maintenance, but for sure I will follow Chris's instruction. I went to this place about a year ago for a "free consultation." First, they will run all sorts of "cool" tests on you. Then they go in for the kill and make you think that you are practically on your death bed. They will show you charts that say that you are an old bat, and that you need to take action immediately -- when your regular doctor has not even brought up an issue. Let me tell you, I am an average person, and not obese by any means, yet they make you feel like that. Then they will try to lock you in to a series of appointments and have you buy all these expensive supplements. Save your money, time, and worry. There is a huge price to pay for "free" stuff. read more

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Rosenthal and the staff in 2008. My experience was great. I went in on the verge of being a diabetic and having some other health issues. Within 6 months of making gradual changes to my diet, using the supplements and incorporating daily walking for exercise I was vastly improved. Later on the chiropractor (Dr. Dever) got me aligned. The supplements are expensive but worth it..think of it as having a great meal/night on the town but your body will be better for it. I was experiencing major pain in my forearm and was on the phone calling a doctor when a coworker overheard me and interrupted the phone call to tell me how good the american back center is. I hung up the phone and he handed me DR. Chris's card. To my surprise I got an appointment for the same day and they accepted my insurance as well. When I first walked in kaylee set me up to discuss insurance and was ready from our discussion on the phone earlier. I got right in with Dr. Chris for diagnosis and testing. He was extremely thorough and even showed me a bunch of websites and encouraged me to read up on my diagnosis (tennis elbow - lateral epicondylitis ) before the next visit. Physical therapy with pt Chris and Andery have pushed me to get the right muscles working and give me the tools, exercises and knowledge to help speed the recovery from my injury. I'm not a big fan of chiropractic adjustments but Dr. Chris makes it easy. He relaxes your muscles first and stretches you before the adjustment. I have also had a couple of massages that were part of my recovery, that were a pleasant surprise and helped out with the pain. This place is a Miracle. I had severe back and neck pains for well over ten years. The pain was chonic and numbing. A 10 on the pain scale. I have been to many doctors who all had theories as to what was wrong with me. None of the procedures they applied ever worked. I've been attending appointments for only a few weeks now, and I am in less pain than I have been, in about 7 years. I initially came here for severe neck pain, which Dr. Chris help diagnose as an actual neck sprain through X-rays and such. We were put on physical therapy plan for 3 times a week for 3 weeks and I can fortunately say that it worked successfully! Dr. Chris does safe adjustments and then physical therapy equipment accelerated the process a lot faster. Dr. Chris also threw in like 4 massages with their massage therapist, Erin who is awesome at taking out in knots in the least painful way possible. The staff is extremely friendly and personable and the location is great. It's just a 15 min walk on my lunch break and they are very flexible with their schedule. Since I work in a office and I'm constantly sitting down at my desk most of my shift using my computer, I've tend to have bad posture with some serious shoulder/neck/back pain. I initially went to ABC because I was having pain in my shoulder such that I couldn't sleep, and had difficulty dressing and using my arm. My primary care physician gave me a choice for either PT or chiropractic services and I chose ABC because it is very close to my office and they offered both types of services. I am very pleased. After a course of physical therapy sessions and adjustments with the chiropractor I am doing great. Dr. Chris and the rest of the staff are very professional, friendly and always ready for me when I arrive which is important because I have serious time constraints. They provide a digital confirmation of my appointment which I really like. They also work together very well so that no matter who I am seeing on a particular day, there is continuity and it is clear that they had spoken with each other about my case and are working on a common plan to address my problem. I also started working with Danielle for nutrition and I am very satisfied with the results. Under her direction/supervision I have adopted a much healthier diet that has had a very positive effect on my health. My internist reduced the medication I am taking for hpt after the first month working with Danielle and I haven't taken Claritin or other drugs for sinus stuff for months. I am having a great experience at the American Back Center. Dr. Gomez does an awesome job of getting to the root of the problem and doesnt just cover it up with adjustments and such. The staff is great as well. I think one of the best aspects of this clinic is they have thier own Physical Therapy team. This allows the chiropractor (dr gomez) to work very closely with the PT (her name is purvi) vice versa. The PT staff is top notch as well- the are the most knowledgeable i've ever worked with and do a great job of evolving and staying current with new techniques.
