He was able to quickly program our cars Keyfob and cut the new key. if you lose a keyfob just contact him as his price is good and he provides OEM parts. He also shows up when he says he will. I was pleasantly surprised by American Best Locksmith! Someone broke into our building and in doing so, really messed up the doorframe and the lock with a crowbar. At first we thought it would be necessary to get the whole door and frame replaced. We called around to multiple contractors and none were free to do the work within a reasonable amount of time, so we figured we'd at least get the lock fixed. American Best was able to send out a locksmith asap. When the locksmith arrived, he looked really young. I thought "omg he's like, twelve". He quickly assessed the problem and went out to get the necessary parts. All skepticism disappeared when he arrived with a metal plate that he said he could add so that it would no longer be possible for someone to get a crowbar between the lock & the doorframe anymore. Genius! He replaced the "panic bar" & fixed the lock and added the metal plate for a reasonable price. The door is now fixed and more secure than before. We don't even need to replace the door anymore! I'd absolutely use this locksmith company again and would recommend. read more

After reading glowing reviews of this company I called them after I had been locked out of my car in a parking lot. I was told I would be contacted shortly by a technician. After an hour I had not been contacted by anyone, not even to touch base and tell me it would be a little while before they could get there. I had to seek service elsewhere. I have had the worst experience with your company today, and I will be sure to let everybody I know and anybody that will listen know who you guys completely wasted my day. I called about 8:15 this morning and spoke to a gal and she said she would have a tech call me back shortly. I did get a call about 15 minutes later and talked to someone and he said the cost for a new key and remote for my wife's 2006 GX470 would be $270.00. I told him that was not much less than the dealership, and he was quick to point out he comes to me and I do not have a wait at the dealership. I tell him I'll call back if I decide to use them. I called the dealership and they said it would be a 2-hour wait, and more money to program the key. I called ABL back and confirmed with the tech that the price of $270.00 included programming the key and he confirmed yes, that is everything. and he said he just had to get the remote part from the warehouse, but he lived in Woodbridge (Not from my house) he would be by at noon today. So about 9:45 this morning I get a call from a 714 # and a different person says he is coming over at noon to replace the key, but when I again confirm the key, remote and programming at $270.00 he is like, NO NO, that is not right, the key and remote are over $400.00. I tell him, no somebody is scheduled to be at my house at noon and a price is already agreed upon. T about 11:00 I get another call from another # and he starts asking about the car and he somehow knows I have a 2006 Lexus. He at least gave me a price close to the original one, but I told him I had someone coming to the house in an hour to take care of it. At noon, I call because I realized I had never given anyone my address, and I talked to a manager and he takes my address and assures me he will have the tech call me right back. At 1:00 I call again, and then told the same thing, and then at 2:00 I called again and started begging pissed off, and I was told, well they do not have the remote part, only the key???? And well sorry and when I asked what the Fuk do we do now, I was told she was hanging up, and she did. Do not use this company, they have no idea what they are doing, and nobody seems to talk to one another. Everything done same day. We wanted to re-key our garage entry to match our front door. Not as simple as we hoped for technical reasons, but they explained what needed to be done and helped us find a way to fit it in our budget. Went back to the shop for some parts, came back and finished the work quickly. Everything works exactly as we wanted it! 5 stars for the actual tech who came to the house; 4 stars for the office staff. I put in a quote request online and received three separate phone calls, none of whom knew that we had already been called, and not all said the same thing regarding estimates and prices. My mom needed some locks at her condo re-keyed and I remember seeing one of their trucks in the area, so I called. What a great company to deal with. Not even an hour after I called the gentleman from American Best was re-keying the locks. I regret not remembering his name but he was fast, courteous and thorough. I was so happy with the quickness and politeness of the team. I called around 2pm for an ignition key lockout. I made an appointment for 5 , he called me around 4 we talked about the issue , he gave me an estimate which was pretty rich for my blood. We came up with something that was reasonable for the both of us. He arrived early , was very polite and diligent. Explained what he did , gave me two brand new keys and that was it !!! Called several times for a quote each time was different and got extremely rude when I asked to speak with manager/ supervisor. Extremely sketchy and told me to take my business else where because I asked to speak with the technician or supervisor. The worst service! I see now, you have to say something. Or the locksmith will put the Expensive lock on (so much for Discussing the price with you) so it cost an arm and leg. Also someone lives next to me ask him to put one in his door? He said okay, but left out anyway. And left his tool here also. If I could opt to give them zero stars, I would. The only person I could even remotely say was pleasant to talk to, was the lady at the main office that told me she would send us to collections if we didn't pay the entire amount (which was more than double the quoted price.) We were told at most it would cost us 50-60.00 per lock and an additional 100 since we didn't leave a key. They did the work and later told us it was 735.00 for service on 4 locks. I am not a mathmetician but the total quoted does not equal anywhere near 700+ dollars. Never again will I use them, and I will tell anyone that is alive (and some dead) that I had horrible service with an untrustworthy company. Thanks for nothing. read more

My "case", so to speak, was complicated and not simple to explain over the phone, however, once we got on the same page I decided I'd take the plunge. The first quote for my problem was $265 (non-functioning electronic key fob), but I explained I only wanted a key; forget the fob, I'll go it Old School, I hadn't LOST my key. The gentleman who arrived within 45 minutes, as promised, worked hard to resolve the matter thruout a few stops and starts. I told you it was complicated, but success!!!! He charged me $145 and I felt I'd been treated fairly. I don't have an extra key, but he finagled it so now the electronic fob/key works like new (just don't lose it, or it's $250 OR you can go the dealer route and he said it's around $400 for a replacement). I recommend this company because they're prompt and fair and they had the highest Yelp rate when I checked. read more

Soooo I broke my key, and couldn't get to work. After callling the dealership and several other companies, I found this place. The owner took care of me. He not only got me going at a reasonable price, he gave me an additional key, at a discounted rate. So I essientally got two keys for less than the price of one, at the dealership. This business is very shady. I don't recommend them at all. I needed a key extraction from my ignition. Over the phone i was quoted 220 for the extraction. My brother spoke with him and confirmed the same price. When the guy shows up, he charges 380 for the extraction. He said when he received the service call, they didn't mention what the service was for nor would he ever come out if it was for 220. So they basically scam u with a fake price and screw u over with a much higher price when they show up. read more
