I called Apex to check out the garage doors on our older home because we saw that one of our garage door cables was hanging down. The woman on the phone was nice and helpful, and got a technician out the same day. The technician was terrific: arrived on time, fixed everything, and took the time to explain what happened the doors to start with and how to take care of them in the future (helpful to me as someone who never had a garage to maintain before). It's refreshing to have a company arrive when promised and complete the work at the quoted price. I definitely recommend them and would call Apex again. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect, my old door was in such bad shape. I had the whole shebang replaced (frame, door, opener, & capping). The two guys doing the work were very nice and helpful. They suggested I purchase a new outside light because the other one was really old and for cosmetic reasons wouldn't make the new door look as good, not that expensive at all I took the trip to Home Depot, they installed it. I also had a problem with the opener, no where to plug in, they hooked it up with an extension cord until I could call an electrician which was great. The only thing that caused me concern was they had no light bulbs for the opener, if I had known I would have purchased them at Home Depot. Nothing comes with light blubs because I had to purchase light blubs separately for the outside light. Great job in all, I am very happy. read more

Highly recommend this company! They are fast, friendly, and professional. We needed 2/3 garage door bay rails and openers replaced. Joe quickly came out to do the original measuring, and in less than 2 weeks we had fully operational doors. The guys from Apex just left and I couldn't wait to write a review. From beginning to end this was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I called the congenial and helpful office staff and got an appointment immediately. When they came out, they didn't try to oversell, but instead suggested what would be the most cost effective. The techs/installers explained everything every step of the way and were friendly, professional and a pleasure to deal with. Don't go anywhere else. These guys are without a doubt THE BEST! My husband and I called Apex to provide and install a LiftMaster garage door opener a few days ago. We had used this company once before earlier in the year and everything had gone well. This time, we cannot say the same. THEY arranged with us to come out on a Friday between 1:00 and 3:00 to install a second new garage door opener for our 2-car garage. Firstly, no one showed up nor called between 1:00 and 3:00. At 3:30, we called them to find out what the problem was. After waiting 5 minutes for the secretary to find someone to ask, she came back to the phone and hung up. I called back and she said she dropped the phone which seemed absurd because there was no attempt to call me back! Finally , she said the installer who was supposed to do our job was tied up on a previous installation and she would have to see if someone else could come out. One would think that if they couldn't have kept their time commitment that they would have called us to explain and not kept us waiting when no one was going to show up! Now it was after 4:00 before someone else arrived at our house. The new person she sent stormed out of his vehicle and was obviously not pleased to have to do the installation . My husband explained that he had removed the old opener and done some access wiring to make it even easier for the new installation. This person was caustic and obviously looking for a way out of starting this job so he started complaining about the project. He did not want to be here and was looking for any reason to leave. When my husband tried to explain how his wiring would expedite matters, the guy shouted "I don't want people telling me what to do!" Then , he stormed to his vehicle and told my husband that he would have to reschedule ! We were flabbergasted ! We have no idea where this came from. Of course, there was no apology from the company about this nor any attempt to reschedule. This was fine with us. We found another local company--McBrothers of Chalfont that came to us the following Monday, did a beautiful job in a friendly and courteous manner and to top it off was more reasonable in price for the same Liftmaster device and installation. We couldn't be more pleased and were happy to give the business to a company that appreciated us! We will never do business with Apex again! read more

I am new to Yelp so please excuse my confusion on writing reviews. i called a few weeks ago about a quota on new doors for my job. I work in a big doctor's office. There are several kinds of offices such as a pediatrician, an x-ray center, etc. My boss wanted me to call and when I did, I was not happy. I spoke with a man who sounded about my age (most likely around 50-60) whose name I believe was Paul. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seemed like he was getting irritable and tired of talking with me because I was confused and unaware of how to answer every question he asked. He also stopped mid-conversation to yell to/at another employee. I guess it was a bad day for him, because he did not sound nice or happy. I wound up passing the call to my boss because I figured he would know best, but the whole thing put a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe if you get someone other than Paul or he is nice to you, you will have a better experience than I did. read more

Called on a Wednesday, Joe was at my house on Thursday with samples and brochures to pick a replacement garage door. When I ordered the door I was told 3-4 weeks for delivery and install. I was shocked when I got a call 2 weeks later asking to schedule my install. Its very rare for any type of contracting work to be completed before the initial estimate time frame. The installation guys were quick, neat, and friendly. Everything was installed perfectly and have not had any issues at all. My old, wooden, 16 foot by 7 foot garage door was broken beyond repair. The installation guys came out yesterday and replaced it. Fast, clean, efficient, and perfectly done. Oh, and they called prior to coming, came when they said they would, and even cleaned up the garage a bit. Highly recommend. read more
