Came here to rent wedding tuxedos. We weren't exactly sure what we wanted or what colors worked together. Jaedan helped us and gave us all the options and helped us figure out exactly what we wanted. She even offered us a tux preview before we finalize the design in a variety of colors of ties and options. It was a great experience and she helped tremendously. Our groomsmen rented their suits from AC for our wedding. The quality of the suit was very nice and we loved how they looked on each of the guys; however it was an absolute struggle to get everything right...and things still were still wrong the day of the wedding. We checked in on the status of our suits a few times and each time the girls working here had our order very wrong. I called the week of, and they still had a few things mixed up. Our groomsmen picked up their suits, and they had the wrong cuff links, and they all had mismatched suspenders, even though we specifically request one color. I would recommend using a different American Commodore or going somewhere else to avoid the headache of repeating yourself to get what you ordered correct. read more

American Commodore is an outstanding place to rent a tux from. There are multiple locations around Northeast Ohio. The staff is very professional. I was renting a tux to attend an inaugural ball in the DC area and they were able to help me, a tuxedo virgin, out very well. The tux was very well fitted, and I'm not an easy person to fit, especially for shoes, which fit very well. The rates were reasonable too, all things considered. They have many top tux designers and styles to choose from. Overall, if you need to rent a tux and do so at a relatively reasonable rate, head to American Commodore and they will be able to help you out. read more

My son was a rep for this store trying to earn a free tux. He had three people turn in their coupon with his name on it and hey "lost" them. When he asked about the one young man they "found" it. Why run this type of promotion if you can't keep good records. read more

Amazing service! As soon as we walked in we were greeted. My fiancé and I came here after going to Men's warehouse to look for a tux. Jessica was the rep who assisted us and showed us all the options to choose from. Their selection is much broader for rentals and they offer selections that are higher end than other rental locations. I would highly recommend this location. read more

American Commodore Tux does a pretty good job of advertising and they have a great location in Summit Mall, but they don't have a great selection of tuxes, they charge more than most of their competition, and they have a really, really bad cancellation policy. The limited selection is fine - a tux is a tux as far as I'm concerned, but the other two issues are huge. Their rental charge is twice the rate the Men's Wearhouse charges. Worse than anything, if you cancel your order, they hit you large cancellation fees. I cancelled an order 4 days after I made it, and they charged me a $40 cancellation fee, saying that they had delivered the tux to the store the day after I ordered it (which was more than a week before I needed it). On the good side, their staff is very helpful. That doesn't make up for the shortcomings. Look beyond the mall and find a much better deal. read more

Staff was ok during the fittings, however we had made an appointment and still had to wait 30 mins before we were helped (Then why have to make an appointment???). My now husband even had 2 fittings to make sure everything was correct and we went over everybody's tuxes. When the guys went to pick up their tuxes there was 1-2 things wrong with EACH individual order. Groom- vest and tie did not match (patterns/color were completely different) and had the wrong color shoes. The vest for each of the groomsmen was in the wrong color, and the ring bearer's pants looked like they had been hemmed from the outside (completely ridiculous). Thankfully the guys picked up their tuxes as early as possible so they could order the stuff in for the next day (which caused my guys to be late to the rehearsal). When the "corrected" order came in my grooms shoes looked like the inside had been eaten by a dog (uncomfortable for him the whole night), his vest and tie weren't what we originally ordered but at least were the same pattern and color. Plus one of the re-ordered vests for a groomsman was the wrong size. This place is remarkably horrible at their job considering tuxedo is in their name..... Do NOT do business with this company. They really know how to stress out a bride right before the wedding. Order was placed at Summit Mall location. read more

I do not own my own tux but on occasion have to wear one for events. I have dealt w/other rental places but my recent experience w/AmComTux @ Summit Mall prompted me to write. They fitted me perfectly and the garment itself felt like my own clothes, not cheap-o fabric like something that has been worn and washed too many times. Thanks for the complimentary socks, too. I used American Commodore Summit Mall for my wedding in May of 2010. The store could not seem to get anything correct. They would call and tell us that everyone had all of their measurements submitted and then call the following week and let us know they still needed measurements from more people. Then a couple of weeks before the wedding they called and said they still needed the groom's measurements. Well, he had already had a tux fitting with them, so obviously they had his measurements! We got one of the mid-level priced tuxedos, and did not expect greatness, but the pants of all the tuxedos were terrible. Our best man had a hole in the leg of his pants and the rest looked dingy. Would not recommend or ever consider using again. read more

My friend bought her $560 prom dress from there for our senior prom and the bottom ripped before we even arrived to the dance. It was completely destroyed by the end of the night. Another friend bought a $500 prom dress from this store and when she went to pick it up the day before prom, the dress was not in the store. Even though she purchased the dress months prior to her prom date they had sent the dress in for repairs 3 days before her date. Very unprofessional read more
