I schedule Galleria Gowns as my first dress appointment and was highly disappointed. They found my booked appointment, but I was not on their schedule for the day at all. The owner did not know what to do and was not willing to make it right. Mind you we drove 40 minutes to come there, and I booked the appointment months in advance making sure it fit in everyone schedule I wanted there that day. What a wonderful experience I had this past weekend at this bridal boutique. The staff was so friendly. They truly took pride in finding me the right mother of the bride dress. I was impressed by the selection, variety of sizes, and plenty of well known labels to choose from for my daughter's wedding. The gowns were quite reasonably priced too. I went alone just to see what was available...but I will be returning in a couple weeks to show my daughter my top three "loves". ... I had a few experiences here looking for my wedding dress. The store is very cute and well set up for the small size and the selection is quite nice! Fair pricing for sure. When I scheduled an appointment the staff was able to help me get clipped in, wrangle dresses, and all the other lovely bells and whistles that come with a dress shopping experience. Staff was lovely! I came back twice in my own to check again and try on again. The reason staff may be "unhelpful" in the other reviews is because they have appointments and clients to give special attention to. The girl working informed me of this in a very polite way and still checked in on me while I did my thing. Most dress shops won't let you in the door without an appointment. I bought my dress here after some feedback from a friend of mine who just got married. We had an appointment, and had an un godly amount of people that came with me to pick out my dress (9 plus me) which in my opinion was extreme, but you don't want to offend people right off the bat with wedding planning. The sales associate introduced herself, got chairs for all of the people with me and helped do crowd control with them. I was surprised by the one very lengthy review on here condemning them for proper etiquette it almost seems. If you are not the bride, your place is in a seat. Let the professionals help/ do what they are employed to do. Sure, you can have suggestions, which the sales associate took with grace, but also was able to read my face that I did not wish to follow up on said suggestions by my mom. That being said, I found my dress the first day I looked (this was the first shop I looked at). They were extremely helpful, and even suggested I bought the dress off the rack that they had just got in since it fit me perfectly. No issues, no stress, isn't that what you want from a bridal store? Definitely recommend! Their new location is great too :) read more

Had a great experience today! I am a bride and previously shopped at other very underwhelming salons. From the second we walked in the door our consultant Stacy was so helpful. She showed me dresses I wanted to see, suggested some to try, and listened to everything I had to say about how I felt about a dress. She was so knowledgeable and not pushy at all. I would highly recommend giving this place a try! My mom and mother in law were also able to briefly look into dresses while we were there and she was helpful to them as well! read more

I made an appointment, tried on lots of dresses off the rack, found one and purchased it. I then went to a seamstress on the recommended list that was provided by the store themselves only to be told the dress doesn't fit me. The seamstress stated that the style that I purchased did not sit on my body the way it was designed to and in order to make it work, she would have to take the dress completely apart and redo it. I was devasted. I immediately called the store crying to ask why they would sell me a dress that doesn't actually fit the way it's supposed to, only to be told that the sale is final and that the seamstress I went must not know what she is talking about. How terrible of a response to tell a bride about her wedding dress. I will tell everyone never to go here. No one had any compassion. read more

If you have had a bad experience dress shopping, and are sitting here discouraged, reading through reviews like I was, then cheer up buttercup and book an appointment with these girls! Seriously!!!! Most amazing dress experience. Going into dress shopping, I booked so many salons, from super high end to second hand wedding dress shoppes to find my perfect dress. When it seemed like I had finally found my dress at another store, the saleswoman lied to me about the dress not coming in white. You can only imagine my horror when I got on the designers website and saw it came in those colors! The saleswoman even went as far as putting a note in my file not "not tell the bride about this because it can never get here on time in white". When the receptionist read this to me over the phone, I was livid! I called every salon in Ohio who carried the designer, and these ladies happened to have the dress. They were very accomadating, and even stayed open a few minutes late when our appointment dragged out a little, knowing that we had come all the way from Columbus, OH! They did so much damage control they didn't have to, were able to rush my dress to me and have it not only get here on time, but an entire 2 months before my wedding day! I grabbed a few dresses off the hanger to try on, and my "the one" dress I tried on second. As soon as I walked out of the fitting room, Catherine, who was helping us just gasped! That's the one!!! She said! She had me walk around, sit in the dress and try it on with different veils as she called the designer to work out all the shopping arrangements. I had a very complicated order and needed lots of extra material for a build up that she was able to work out for me! The atmosphere here is so much like family! The girls were like my sisters and mom, they did so much damage control and gave me the best, most hassle free dress experience possible! Knowing that I was traumatized by my previous experience, and knowing that I was so anxious about dress getting here on time, Una offered to call me every 2 weeks to update me on my dress and she kept her promise! Huge respect and love to all the ladies! Being with you to pick my dress was better than an episode of say yes to the dress! Thank you so much for going out of your way to give me a dream dress buying experience! Love you guys! I would drive the 2 hours from Columbus again in a heartbeat and don't regret choosing a salon that was that much out of my way for such an amazing experience! read more

Kind of reminds me of K-mart, just way more expensive. A tiny hole in the wall/strip mall, and not the cool, undiscovered gem kind, that makes you happy to support your local mom&pop stores, but rather a tiny crowded store with not much lighting, and very expensive gowns and an inattentive waitstaff. Oh, and a much higher markup than you would pay elsewhere. I was there to try on some bridesmaid gowns, took one look at the price tag and left. I ended up calling the store where my friend bought her dress in PA and the price was 40% less (even with shipping!). I guess there are worse places you could go.....this one did seem to have a lot of gowns (one side of the shop is bridesmaids dresses and the other is wedding gowns), and there is a little staging area with chairs, where your friends/parents can watch you parade around in your overpriced dress. Something about this just felt horrible however. read more

This place is a hidden gem! I stopped in just to look at headbands after going to 3 or 4 big chain stores. They were about to close but pointed us to the their selection. They had the largest selection of bridal headpieces, jewelry and accessories that i've seen! I was so happy! I found a few headbands I liked and the sales woman was so nice, helping me find similar styles and asking how my hair and veil would be! She was great. I bought the headband on the spot. It's perfect! I noticed a few days later it was missing a few little gems and called to ask about exchanging it. Before I could even ask to exchange the woman on the phone said 'oh no! that won't do!' and told me they'd order another and to bring it in to swap! So nice! Was looking for bridal boutiques in the area to find my wedding dress. Came across Galleria Gowns and saw that their sample sale was scheduled for the exact day I was planning to start my search. I called to see if any appointments were open and was greeted by a very friendly and helpful member of the staff. Despite the schedule being fully booked, I was put on the wait list and managed to snag a spot when another bride cancelled. The shop is beautiful and very welcoming. The staff is friendly and attentive. Ally walked with me through the store and helped me get a feel for my personal style as well as which dresses might fit me best. Since it was the sample sale, the selection was limited, but I tried on a variety of unique and lovely dresses. The changing room was roomy and the pedestal and mirror helped me get a clear look at each gown. Although I didn't end up taking a dress home, I was impressed by the range of accessories available (there was a wide array of veils, shoes, hair accessories, and items of jewelry) as well as the helpful attentiveness of the staff. read more

Went in with little notice needing to find a MOTB dress. I'll admit, I don't have a lot of vision and rely on the sales people to tell me what's going to look better on. The staff were very busy, but still very attentive sharing their time with everyone there. The store was large, aesthetically beautiful, with a lot of stock to see and try on. The dressing rooms are large with mirrors and there are plenty of three way mirrors with blocks for viewing the modeled gowns. The disappointing part was that the MOTB floor stock was mostly in sizes 12-14. I know they clip the back in when you're smaller, but this does make it harder to see what the dress will look like in the proper size. I'm equally interested in what the back of the gown will look like! Also, some of the stock is a little beat up with snags and pills. I hope that doesn't mean that after spending $4-500 I can expect my dress to snag easily. The brands are ones that fit and lie much nicer than those you'll find at department stores, but you'll pay a bit more as well. After about 1.5 hours I had 4 solid options. Thanks G.O.G.! read more

I went there for my first experience trying on gowns and I was disappointed to say the least. The space was small but for the most part had a decent selection of gowns. However, I almost tripped and broke my neck since there was no order to anything. Then the girl helping me just put me in the dressing room and said "let me know if you need me." I was stuck putting them on and off by myself and some of those dresses are heavy and have a ton of zippers and buttons! It wasn't a horrible experience but it wasn't at all what I thought it was. I don't think I would recommend it to anyone. Luckily I have other appointments set up and hope to have a better experience. read more

I found my dress here, and would have liked to find a bit better price, but it was "the dress", so what can you do? The owner Clara was great... the little old sicilian lady was ok, but I'd suggest not letting her do your measurements. They were both in the room to take my measurements and the little old lady told Clara she should order me a size bigger than what I measured at! Luckily she didn't listen to her because my dress fit great. Overall my experiences there were good and the ladies were helpful. Great experience here. Was referred to Galleria Gowns by the venue where we are having our reception. My consultant was Clauda and she is wonderful! Highly recommend her and the shop. This was the 4th wedding shop I had been to in my search for finding the perfect dress. I did end up buying my dress from here. And it was one that a lady working there had picked out. I was starting to get discouraged and thinking I would be leaving another shop without a dress. Low and behold before I even zipped it up I knew it was the one. I was married about five years ago and loved working with everyone from Galleria Gowns. It was the first store my family and I visited and never needed to go anywhere else. Some things to note: I lost a considerable amount of weight from the original fitting to the wedding, and their seamstress team was phenomenal. With impeccable detail, they also noticed beading that could be reinforced on the bodice to make the dress even more stunning. Clara's suggestions for shoes were spot-on- super comfortable, classy and well-priced. I **still** wear them today. I made my veil, and they steamed it before the Big Day. No pressure to buy theirs. Looks can be deceiving! I found this place on google and when I first pulled up to the place, I was a little weary. From the outside it looked very small and outdated. When I walked in, I found out it was just as small as it looked, packed with racks of dresses. This was the 3rd or 4th place I had looked for dresses (a mix of boutique and 'big box' bridal shops) but ended up finding THE ONE here! The selection wasn't as large as other places but there was a HUGE selection of exactly the types of dresses I was looking for. They were all right on trend. The women working with us said that my mom and I could pick whatever we wanted from the racks and she also pulled dresses based on what I said I was looking for. No limit on the amount of dresses I could pull. The saleswoman was very helpful and VERY patient. I loved so many dresses and when I finally found THE ONE I had it on for probably 30 minutes, trying on all different accessories with it to find the look that was most appropriate for my wedding. The 'try on' area was very small with a chair right outside for my mom to sit on but it did the job. The sales women was so pleasant, personable and never once rushed us. She was there to cater to whatever we needed and made such a special experience between my mother and I truly wonderful. Based on the places I had been to, the prices were very reasonable. This place may have not had the never-ending selection of other places (which to me, is just overwhelming) or looked as fancy and open as other places but the experience I had there to find the most important dress I will ever buy was all i could have hoped for! read more

Let me start by saying that the staff was friendly. I purchased a "mother of the bride" dress, shoes , earrings and a clutch bag along with an undergarment. Approximate $$$$$ spent was $450.00. I also purchased and had hoped to return, 2 pairs of ballet type slippers for the bride and myself . We never wore the slippers and thought that the shop owner would agree to the return especially considering the fact that I still had the receipt. Granted they have a No Return policy and have every right not to take the return. In my opinion, a smart business owner breaks their own policy and takes the return. This place is great. I stopped in here randomly while looking for my wedding dress and ended up purchasing it and all of my bridesmaid dresses there. Yes, it's a small, strip mall storefront. It can be overwhelming since there are so many dresses in a tiny shop. However, the service was impeccible. I had started at THE major bridal chain and felt like just a number. They made everyone in my bridal party feel special. Plus, their tailors are the best. My dress was very intricate with lace and beading and it came back beautifully and fit like a glove. I recently bought my bridesmaid dress at Galleria Gowns. I've had several friends and a sister purchase bridal gowns here too and all have been extremely happy with the selection, prices and service. This is a friendly, family business and they help you find the right dress. They're not pushy and they don't follow you around the store but they're there to help (and happily). As for the selection, it is a small store but they can order you anything you want from all of the major made-to-order designers. As for cost, wedding & bridesmaid dresses are always expensive unless you get something from David's Bridal. The prices here are EXACTLY the same (for the same line of dresses) as two other dress shops I visited. Overall - very happy with my experience. So much so that my mother - who bought her dress at another store - went there for her alterations. read more

I absolutely loved Galleria Gowns!!!! I had fallen in love with a Casablanca dress online, but I could only find two shops that carried Casablanca. I went to the other one first because it was closer to home. This other shop did not have the exact dress and they were so pushy and rude, ruining my first experience wedding dress shopping (they actually went out of business a few months later). Then I found Galleria Gowns and everything changed!! I didn't even mind that it was almost an hour from my house- it was worth it! Galleria Gowns had the dress I loved but I ultimately chose a different dress. I worked with Una and she was so nice, not pushy, and pulled a ton of gorgeous dresses. They have an amazing selection there and reasonably priced too. As I was trying them on, she could tell I kept going back to this one dress because I loved the silhouette and the lace, however I didn't like the flowers attached to the belt and felt the neckline was a little low cut. Una had one of the seamstresses, Dani, come over who ripped off the flowers, added a sparkly belt, pinned up the neckline, and my jaw about dropped to floor! It was a completely different dress and it was perfect! Unfortunately though, the dress was discontinued meaning I'd have to buy the sample I'd tried on. I decided to still go for it and I'm so glad I did!! I got a sizable discount since I was buying the floor sample, which I did have to basically put all of back into the alterations, but it was worth it! It turned out perfect! Dani is absolutely incredible and so nice and funny too! She took my dress down about 4-5 sizes and even added a bow that I requested on the back. I loved working with her and Clada (sorry I most likely spelled that wrong!), one of the owners who was down there on the ground pinning my hem, during my appointments! My dress was absolutely gorgeous, fit perfectly, and I had a great time in the process. Sure, if you're looking for a bridal salon/shop that looks like it's straight off of Pinterest so you can get the perfect Instagram photo of saying yes to the dress, then yeah maybe there's "cuter" shops out there, but I can't imagine having better service anywhere else! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They advertise that they make custom headbands. I had a forehead headband made that the girl assured me she would have no problem making. Well to start off, it was a month late by when it was done. I went to pick it up and realized that the little gems she added were twisting all over and not laying flat against my forehead. I left the headband again and she said she would fix it. When I went to pick it up AGAIN a week later, the worker said she added a special adhesive to the back to make the gems lay flat, well it was HOT GLUE all over the back of my headband. I was disappointed that an item that cost $150 was being held together with hot glue, but it looked ok so I paid and was on my way. Well a few weeks later, I took the headband out of the box and all the hot glue was peeling off and the gems were again twisting all over (this is now one week before my wedding). I called them and for some reason was not "allowed" to talk to the manager, but was told to bring it in to see if they could refund it. I go back and talk to the manager who says she cannot refund it and that there is nothing wrong with it. I state that the girl clearly could not make it correctly and that it was defective, as it was falling apart. The manager continues to be a complete b**** and states that it wasn't defective "just needed to be fixed". Well isn't that defective?! I did not have the time or patience to drive out there (over an hour drive for me) to pick up a $150 held together by hot glue. She also stated that due to quality she would not put something like it on her shelf, yet expected me to wear it on my wedding dayAfter arguing with her for 20 min she offered to give me $75. I accepted but assured her I was not happy, but refused to waste my time arguing. Moral of the story, their "custom" pieces look like something you can do at Saturday craft classes at Michaels. Save yourself some money and make yourself a macaroni headpiece (it will be the same quality). read more
