I had what could be considered sort of an emergency bridal situation. My Yolan Cris custom made dress arrived 3 weeks late to me in San Francisco, making it impossible to get alterations done in time for my wedding in Ohio. My mother tried everyone there, but it was bridal season and everyone was swamped. I was so doubtful of things working out that I bought a back up dress. My mother and I had almost given up, when she made her final hail mary and contacted I Do Bride. The owner was busy too, but she miraculously made time to get my dress done. In three days she altered the waist and sleeves, did the hem (on a lace dress!) and put in a bustle. The result was magnificent. I cannot express how grateful I am to I Do Bride! read more

Millie is such a nice, caring, and supportive person! She also did an amazing job altering both of the dresses I brought to her. I had received several recommendations to go to her for alterations, and she more than lived up to my expectations. I had originally brought in my first wedding dress which I knew could use some alterations as I had lost some weight. After looking it over we believed that the dress could be brought in enough yet still look nice and Millie began the alterations. I came back for my next fitting and it had become apparent that the dress was just too big for me. We would not be able to do alterations and have the dress look correct on myself because I had lost weight, but Millie was thrilled for me at this aspect and was so very supportive of it because I am improving myself and my future. She is such a sweet and loving lady and would recommend her work her anyone! Millie and I came to a compromise which we both agreed on, and I happily brought my second dress to her for alterations. She did amazing work with the dress which fit beautifully and the bustles held the whole night. I would highly recommend her and her work to anyone!! Took a bridesmaid dress in. Showed up 2 weeks and a couple days later (longer than they told me it would be) and she had forgotten about my dress. At this point the wedding was 2 1/2 weeks away, she apologized and promised it would be ready by Thursday, 5 days from then, and offered a free press. I showed up Thursday, put on the dress in the fitting room and it was so tight around my bust that we could hardly zip it up. I was then asked if I had gained a bunch of weight. Then she proceeded to tell me I must be bloated, I should go get water-pills from my gyno and basically that I had grown and there was no way that it was her fault. With a week and a couple days until the wedding, she sent me home with the dress (after I paid) and told me to drink water and possibly get water pills to slim down my bust, but that if I felt uncomfortable, I could bring it back to be let out some. I went back on Monday, because it was still just as tight as before. She asked me if I was pregnant (I'm not). I just wanted the dress to fit so I could be done with them at this point. She told me that the original size was where it would fit. Side note, the dress was 2 sizes too big when I brought it in! Didn't make any sense. I told her not to let the waist back out, as that part was fine. The very top of the chest was all that needed adjusting. I came back the next day to pick it up. I quickly tried it on and was relieved that it zipped up. As I was exhausted from the stress and the bad treatment, I just wanted out of there, so I took the dress. Once home I tried it on again. She had let it all the way back out, it does not fit as it is 2 sizes too big - AGAIN. I am going to have to find a belt or a sash to hide the loose material, not what I was hoping for. The wedding is on Saturday and it is now Tuesday, so I don't have a lot of time left. I am so disappointed with the service and disgusted at the way I was treated. I can hardly believe this happened. I am a very passive person and I avoid conflict whenever possible, which is why even though I probably should have gotten nasty with her when she was putting me down, I didn't. It is not in my nature and I shouldn't have to be aggressive when I am being provided a service. They didn't offer me any money back or even an apology, they made it clear that they thought the problem was me and my body. I would never recommend anyone to go to I Do Bride & Formal. I was charged $90 for nothing but stress and heartache. read more

I would never recommend this place to anyone I cared about! I feel that this woman that does the alterations does not know what she is really doing. She has a BAD temper if you disagree with her as well. She ruined a friends wedding dress and then tried to blame her for it! I as well was charged $20 a couple years back for just trying on a dress, and then was told if i didn't buy the dress that day I couldn't have it. The saddest part about all of this business is that if there is something that you do not like, they will not try to resolve it for you, you take what they give you and that's it. I understand everyone has a bad day, but this bridal store has just been one bad experience after another. (especially when someone ruins your wedding dress) read more

This was the first stop on the prom dress search with my daughter. Although we didn't buy anything here, Mary was so nice and spent a lot of time talking to my daughter so that she knew what type of dresses to bring her to try on. She was amazingly helpful. I would definitely return here if we needed another dress or alterations of any kind. read more
