This concerned me since I had questions throughout about property tax and fees. Everything ended up working out very well but those last few moments were enough to stress me out. I would recommend them for the future. Due to Covid I never actually visited the office. And never met anyone in person. I met with a women named Jan (unknown title) of this branch and explained to her my request. This was a single page document with the name of the company issued across the top. A legal description of the purpose or intent of the document and at the bottom a designated place for my signature. What I expected to be a very simple request was apparently an ordeal. As a notary, I completely understand the need to "scan" the document before viewing the signatures of the parties requesting the service. My strong objection comes in when you abuse your position and violate the privacy of the customer(s). When I questioned Jan why she was reading sensitive personal information, she snapped at me and said she as a right to know what she is signing. I informed her that her role in this is to make sure I am who I say I am and nothing more. Her position at the bank nor as a notary public gives her the right to invade my privacy. I removed the document from her possession and informed her I did not appreciate her actions. She took an aggressive posture with me and stated, "Are you a notary?" I did not appreciate her tone nor her rude aggressive manor. In the banking industry there are a ton of choices. Your philosophy should be that of customer service. What can we do to help you as a customer. Even if she was right, (which I believe she is not), she could have explained the nature of her actions in a professional demeanor.

Somehow, they have been put in charge of family's major financial decisions. I will never deal with them again. Buying a house is the most important financial investment a family can make.
