Shoddy and Scammy: I was seen by Dr Patel who is likely the worst dentist I've even encountered. I had coming in for a regular 4 month check up and cleaning. Dr Patel did a haphazard and perfunctory checkup and quickly recommended unnecessary interventions and an immediate consultation with a periodontist (in the American Dental network). Instead I had my x-rays sent to a highly reputed periodontist who correctly assessed my situation as under control and not in need of any of Dr Patel's suggested interventions. This agreed with the opinions of my previous dentist and periodontist. My periodontist also informed me that Dr. Patel's office had send in poor records and his assessment was both inaccurate and had missed some non periodontist related general dentistry items. I seriously doubt Dr Patel's competence and integrity; his checks were haphazard and his chart notations incorrect. He appears driven by sales and profit, not customer care. I intend to turn over records of this interaction to my lawyer; both this office and Dr Patel appear to be scamming the system rather than taking care of their patients. I would also doubt the positive reviews here..I heard one of the office staff pressuring a patient for a positive review. read more

American dental solutions is the biggest joke of dentistry in Berks County. Employees have no idea how to do their job. Not one person knows how to bill insurance correct. Call and leave a message not one person can call back. Schedule an appointment drive there and then have it cancelled and have to reschedule. Even if it was the last dentist around I wouldn't bother going to American dental solutions. read more

Had a dental implant procedure and paid the amount not covered by insurance up front. Since then, I have been requested to pay an additional $1400 that "wasn't covered by insurance" even though I have already paid the allowable amount according to my insurer. Come to learn that the office knew in advance exactly what the insurer would pay and already collected the allowable amount. there should be no way I owe more, but yet told I won't be seen unless I pay it. read more

Never heard of a dentist where they don't provide silver fillings only supplies white fillings. My insurance only covers silver filling. It would be an expense of $250. After 10 years I have to look for a new dentist. Thanks American Dental Service read more

Had an emergency extraction needed and was in pain, very professional team led by the dentist. Everything was clearly explained and my comfort was priority number 1. Everything was awesome, the only reason this is not a 5 star review is that they were busy and apparently running behind, I was not taken back to the room until about 45 minutes past my appointment time. Dr. Steve Salzburg (sp?) is the dentist at the Muhlenberg location and he is the kindest, most gentle, dentist I have ever experienced. He patiently explains everything to me. I must confess that I have been confused about my treatment, because it is a procedure I never experienced. However, time after time, he patiently explains things to me . The support staff are wonderful, all quite friendly, attending to all my needs in a very professional manner. This is truly the first dental center of any type that I feel quite comfortable at, and do not fear any appointments! I do not like the central office hub, which answers the phones, answers questions, and interacts with you. In other words, when I call the office, I do not get to talk to the people in the Muhlenberg office. I talk to people that do not know me, don't seem to have much knowledge in dentistry, and many times are difficult to communicate with. This is because I am in the process of getting dentures, and my speech is difficult to understand! However, they do not appear to have access to my case, and therefore they are very difficult to communicate with. Despite this, I totally love the office, people, and their manner in Muhlenberg, and will continue to tolerate the call center, main office, etc. I do not know where I am calling, but seriously, it might as well be another universe. read more

First off I broke me tooth , I called two days later, and got an appointment for a consultation. As easy as that was that was done the next day they had me come in for a crown. I was so pleased they did such a fantastic job. They numbed me and I didn't feel literally anything. Not even the numbing part. And I had great conversation while I was there, even thought they knew I couldn't talk. By far the best place I've ever been to. I really like the staff and the Dr. at the this location. If something is not right they are not satisfied until it is right. I am always treated nice and the ladies at the front desk are always polite and knowledgable about the insurances. I have been coming here for at least 4 years now, and I don't have any reason to look anywhere else! read more

I usually go to the Wyomissing location but because the Dr. moved to this location, I have transferred because the Dr. is amazing and is very informative on your care. The other staff is great as well so I will definitely be going to this location unless the Dr. would move again. :) read more

Worst service ever . Had braces from them & my brackets came off constantly. I wanted metal braces and got pushed into clear (more money) when I least expected it I had clear braces. I also wanted to fix my lower crowding and I only got braces on the top. Which makes no sense. I had a root canal done a few years back & recently found out by my current dentist that it is infected & an instrument was left behind. Find a dentist that will be there with you at every visit & knows what they're talking about. I regret having any service from them touch my mouth. read more

I recently had a bad experience with this office. Dr. DANUTA MAJ-KRUSZYNSKI did a horrible job putting a temporary crown on my 9 year old's front tooth, she was rushing and the end result showed. She first said she was going to have to make a mold for the temporary crown but then decided to pick one out of a tray of pre-made ones. None matched and the tooth was larger than the other front tooth and crooked! This was on a Monday it broke off two days later as my son was eating a green bean....A GREEN BEAN? so i decided to stop in that night (they were open late), i didn't receive any type of compassion for the error from the receptionist (Not Trish or Rosa they are both wonderful) I was told they were busy and we'd have to wait (mind you the waiting room was empty) so we left and i called and received wonderful customer service from the call center and they set us up for the next day at the Kenhorst office where Dr. DANIEL RUNKLE did the necessary repairs the right way, the way it should have been done from the beginning. Today I had a appointment at 10:30 am which I scheduled 3 months ago. I arrived at 10:16, walked in and no one was at the desk. A employee walks in about 2 minutes after and walks right past me without a word. I stand at the desk thinking she's just gonna put her stuff down, which would have been fine but she didn't come back. I waited 10 minutes before I saw her walking around in the other area and told her I had a appointment. She then sent a woman to help. Then the woman tells me that I was not in the appointments for today due to them changing their hours and that someone should have called me to let me know. I don't understand why the hours changing effected my 10:30 appointment when the hours online say 9:30. So at this point I'm not sure if I want to continue at this location. read more

Where should I begin. Been going here for several years (every 6months) never dis I have the same dr which I didn't like at all. My very last appointment with this terrible company the hygienist refused to clean my teeth cuz I had a permanent bottom retainer in with plaque behind it. And she told my my gums were swollen and she defiantly wasn't gonna touch my teeth, but she had a treatment that could fix it($600). Then comes in a different dr. Who makes me put on unsanitary sunglasses cuz he has a tendency to poke people in the eye. After my checkup with the dr I was told I had 2 cavities(again). I always have cavities when I go here so I decided I'm going to get a second opinion and I was right! No cavities and the plaque behind my retainer wasn't even close to what everyone else gets behind there. I always had a feeling from day one this company is only out to take people's money and I was right. Never going back to this terrible business!!!!! read more
