We made an appointment with American Dry Basements System and we meet their reperenitive Paul Silva. Paul was very knowledgeable. He explained how the process would work how long it would take. He give recommendations and consel on our house structure and yard usage. I cant begin to say how grateful we are to work with American Dry for our 7000 sq ft home in Fairfield CT. We had major water issues in our basement with water coming up through the concrete. We were close to install a gutter system that sits on the footing and it just did not feel right. My friend worked with American dry and recommended them. Paul Silva came out and broke down the way water gets in. He is perhaps one of the most professional, responsive and organized people we worked with for our house. Truly an amazing representation of American dry so we knew we were in good hands. When the work began, we instantly saw that their system was miles ahead of anything out there. The footings are perfectly flat, so putting in any waterproofing on the footings with no pitch makes no sense. Their pipes are pitched into the sump pumps and they installed cleanouts so i can see into the pipe. The installation team led by Juan was incredible. He further explained the process and showed us the system along the way. Some of the hardest working crews out there. We had a lot of local friends with water issues come and see the work and it was impressive. During the entire construction process they also were sucking the air out side so dust was minimal and they cleaned up so good and fogged for mold. It is like getting an entirely new basement! The end result is my basement is DRY!!! No musty smell. It smells like a real floor. The sump pumps are entirely silent. My old sump pumps rattled the whole house. I just check my app and see how many gallons they pumped out. I researched for months and met with multiple companies and in the end I am certain i made the right decision. For anyone out there that is dealing with the stress of water in the basement, musty air, mold or flooding.... this is the system to install. BUYER BEWARE: Had 6" of water in my basement 12/25/21 during a storm. The water took out my water heater and dryer motor. Had $3,500 worth of American Dry Basements polymetric drain core with flow channels, sub-floor pressure relief system, heavy duty submersible pump system, supercrete and superslurry applications on 2/23/21. Called the company after 3" of water in the basement on 7/2/21. They sent someone out...who arrived in his personal vehicle, wearing shorts and flip flops but no identification, looked at my video of the flood, looked around the basement and said he would make the necessary repairs. I watched as he carried the big case containing what looks like a giant sander from his vehicle to the basement hatchway. He set it down in the yard and opened it upside down so everything started to fall out! He struggled but turned it over revealing the manufacturer's name boldly written across the lid of the case (big hint in determining the top from the bottom) When I glanced out again, he was stuffing his ears with paper towel pieces as a substitute for earplugs! Had 4" of water in the basement on 7/9/21 in an extreme storm where my street was flooded for the first time ever. Sump pump was humming but not pumping as the water on the street had covered the drainage pipe for my pump. This flood only took out the hot water pilot light. Called my incredibly intelligent plumber who came over and looked at the system. Said the pipe removing water from the house should not have been siliconed shut! He put a V in the pipe so water could drain outside the house in the event the drainage pipe to the street is ever submerged again. Brilliant? So please don't waste your money or fall for the sales pitch to watch their ADB 's video of them taking out the failed systems of other companies. My plumber indicated that a company called Wet Basements, though more expensive, has the knowledge and workmanship to solve problems like mine. read more

My wife and I were experiencing water issues in December of 2019. We went through every company you can think of that works the State of Connecticut. We really had 2 companies that we were intrigued to hire. We decided to go with American Dry Basement Systems, because of their process/procedure in cutting the basement floor. As well as applying the super-slurry and super-crete. A crucial piece that was taken into consideration as our home was built in the early 1940's. As well as to have the peace of mind the structural integrity wasn't disturbed, waterproofing concept, and not introducing cold joints. My co-worker highly recommended American Dry Basement Systems and I have to credit the owner for having all the youtube videos as well as social media presence. These two avenues to get future customers is what truly sets them apart from competitors. So much knowledge is transferred! Our sales representative Dennis, was amazing when he entered our home and explained everything. Of course he knew it was a touchy subject since our basement was finished. To need demo and reconstruction was a big concern, however we knew to correct the issue was the most important aspect. Dennis received a lot of phone calls from me, he definitely was easy going on every question I had and help ease our minds. Within 3 weeks of signing everything the work started. The crew lead by Jamey were great!! They were able to get the concrete opened up and partially trenched within a day. Total completion time was 3 days, but I rather the quality of work done. We wanted the guys to work in an environment they enjoyed. We offered them soda and water. We even gave them a bluetooth speaker to use while they were working to enjoy music. They were very thankful for the hospitality we showed them. After all said in done, the work was completed to our satisfaction, they was a slight issue with the concrete level to the existing floor. I let the customer service representatives know and immediately contacted me to schedule a foreman to come by the house on Wednesday. Overall I am giving American Dry Basement Systems a 5 Star rating it has been an absolute pleasure for the company to customer / customer to company relationship. From the office, sales, and construction employees, they all were fantastic!! I can't wait to see this system work better to keep our basement dry!!! Especially nice to have a proper system over a bucket with holes and no channels connecting to it. read more

Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. I had then install there system About 2 and a half years ago ! Had to be the worst decision i ever made! Im 57 years old! I paid about. 10000 dollars to them! I was concerned if there was ever a problem they might not want to come to mass to resolve it. The salesman assured me it wouldnt be that their life time warrenty was the best in the buisness! But it sure seems to be now! My basement flooded out about 3 mo ths ago ! Maybe the drain pipes clogged i dont know ! After relentless calls and emails andbroken promises they are not willing to solve the problem. They will not even respond to the bettrer buisness bearu about my leaky basement. 3 months my basement leaks just like it did before the supposedly waterproofed my basement !they have been heartless to me its been a real nightmsre trying to deal with them i was stupid i believed there ads life time warrenty how about no warrenty American dry basement im not asking you to pay for the heavy waterdamage ! Just please honor your warrenty and waterproof my basement. But this time for good! One flood is one to many!!!!!!!! When we brought it to the Better Business Bureau and the company came out, they agreed it didn't work and told us that they would refund us our money. First off, to the owner Pete O. or whoever you are shame on you for running such an unprofessional business! I went to ADB about a year ago after my family purchased our first home and it has been a nightmare! They were very professional and resourceful in the beginning (before they took our hard earned money), however the customer satisfaction they preach is fraudulent to say the least. The area in which they worked had a flood the very next minor rain day. I called them to report this and asked to send someone to come check it out. We would schedule a date and time and NO ONE WOULD SHOW UP about 10 times. No call back to apologize for the mishap each time, nothing. Their biggest sell point to us was their product guarantee 2x life. Well, we had a problem and after months of reaching out to them we had to find another contractor to come fix their issue. We have since heard from them and this was exactly one year ago. We called hundreds of times and were blew off every time. No follow up, nothing from them...We had to eventually take this matter to court to try to get our money back.... Well, they've never showed up to court (what company does that!) and the judge ruled in our favor as we have pictures to show the discrepancy and the add'l $ we had to spend to fix their horrible job. Additional time, effort, money, stress on the customers end. We still haven't received our back pay from them even with the court order months ago!!! This company is terrible. No ethics or morals. My family feels robbed of thousands of dollars. Again, shame on you Pete! Anyone looking to utilize this company DON'T! They don't stand by their product, and even worse their word! We recently moved into a home that had a sump pump and draining system installed by this company less than a year old. (Kept all documents for this system when we bought the house) Had a warranty that is transferable. After 6 months of living in the house we had water in our basement due to the pump failing to turn on. We made 4 attempts to get in contact with this company to schedule a service time. We were told our information would be transferred to the service department to set up a time and date. This is now the 4th day and we have NOT heard from this company at all. We checked our container that our sump pump was in and it was filled with water which would be flowing through our basement if action wasn't taken immediately. Our last resort was to pump out the water out ourselves to prevent flooding in our new basement that we furnished. Since no one was contacting us to inspect the broken pump. How can a company not call back their customers? I will never refer them this is so unprofessional. All we were looking for is a time and date for them to come out and check out the pump that was installed less than a year ago. You would think a company would honor their work for a product they installed. Talk about horrible customer service. If we waited for them our basement would be filled with water by now. We were forced to buy a replace pump out of pocked and have someone else install it. After not hearing from American Dry Basement I'd prefer that. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM. I hired this company to install a drain under my backyard patio door. The person who came by the house to give us a quote was very nice and professional. We agreed to go with them. I signed a contract and put down a one thousand dollar deposit. I tried to schedule the job to be done. The job was supposed to be done in The Bronx, NY. The company is based on CT. They agreed to do the job in the bronx. The first attempt at doing the job, we agreed 10am. I asked them to give me a call 30 mins before arriving as it was on a weekday and I would be at work. I would then go give them access to the property from work. I received a call around 8am that the workers were stuck in traffic and didn't know what time they would arrive. Around 11:30 they call that they were at the place and could not find parking. They did not tell me 30 mins in advance as I had requested. I then had a family member who lives near by drop what they were doing and run to the house to allow access. When they arrived, the men were not there. I called the main office, and they tried to get in contact with the driver and were giving me no new information. They finally gave me the driver's number. I called him directly. He was very rude to me and said they were already leaving. He yelled at me and told me that if I said I was going to be there, I should be there. Fine, they apologized at the main office and we tried to schedule a second time. The second time I asked for the same. Call me 30 mins before arriving. Nothing happened. I get a call past the agreed time from the main office telling me that the drivers were in an accident and they had to return to the main office. Fine, tried a third time to schedule. We agreed on a date, I asked to let me know 30 mins ahead of time and nothing. No call at all this time. I call the main office and they said they thought it was the week after. I told them I had run out of patience and I just wanted my deposit back. As of the time of this writing, I have been calling them every day to get my deposit back. I was told the "machine" was broken and they would be sending me a check in the mail. That only a person named "Devin" could issue the deposit. I was able to talk to him once, when he told me he would be on top of this. After that, he's never at the office. I called Dennis, I believe he's one of the owners and explained my situation. He said he was sorry and he would talk to them and someone would call me. Nobody called. As I am writing this, I'm on hold with the main office for 19 mins and nobody is talking to me. I still don't have my deposit back. This has been my experience with this company. My recommendation to anyone out there is, stay away from this company. read more
