Have been coming here for a few years now and have loved the remodel! Much has been done. I typically am at home or sitting in the car waiting for my 2 boys to get their hair cut as they are busy, but this time, I decided to venture inside. This place has had a face-lift, and it is stylish. We had a mutual friend help with the pictures and framing. And while this shop is busy. The 5 barber chairs definitely don't go a few minutes without a warm body to fill them. Don't worry. They have TV to watch during your wait, a bathroom for customers, and some styling products to purchase. It's still one of the most friendly barbershop around for a good deal! Great great place. Honestly, five years ago, this was just one of two places in Bonita Road that I would give three stars to. But they've done a lot with this place, despite the atrocious landlord (witness plants growing on the shingle roof...). But now the interior is a solid place well decorated and furnished. So a reasonably helpful staff in a dumpy place is now a reasonably helpful staff in a nice place. Four Stars. Enter Majic: he's amazing and now my go-to guy. Fantastic "old school" barber. Every time I go; great cut, beard too, but straight razor shave, waxing nostrils and ears (yes, I am that old), threading cheeks, forehead, and ears. An amazing job by a dedicated professional. Okay we love Alfredo! He is the greatest barber. We have followed him for 8 years ever since he was at the Lemon Grove shop. He is friendly and and can clean up and shape up anyone! My son has a ton of crazy cowlicks and every other place we have tried leave nick marks in his head or they burn him and Alfredo leaves him looking fresh! He lines him up perfectly and has made his fades and faux hawks hooked up! There is plenty of parking. Plenty of nice seating. The place is clean. There are usually 3 other barbers there. Good hours. I have had Majic, the Iraqi barber here, cut my hair three times now. Each time, he has done an excellent job. He is an old-school barber who cares about the little details and takes his time to get the job done right. By old-school, I mean that this barber will even trim your eyebrows and thread you around the ears. I don't have that much hair to cut anymore, but Majic consistently manages to make me look good and feel better about myself. read more

Was skeptical at first when I walked in as the place wasn't very fancy like most modern places also no fancy amenities they did have two TVs playing local news. However the cut came out fantastic got a clean skin fade from the older Asian gentleman I didn't get his name. I will be going back also great prices! TIP:Do not go to any other barber other than Alfredo! My two boys and I went in for haircuts the day before Christmas and the line was insane. Since I had some errands to do still, and the fact that everyone was waiting for Alfredo, we had our haircut by the guy all the way to the right. Now, we're a family of f**ked up haircuts! We brought my youngest son back a few days later and Alfredo was kind enough to fix his haircut free of charge (I just gave Alfredo a generous tip). The worst haircut i ever got. Some old asian guy who barely spoke english. Seemed like he was in a hurry to get to the next guy. I will never go to this place again. You get what you pay for. I've been their five times now. The first time was awesome but since then it's gets worse and worse. Simple directions like don't change the length of my sideburns can't even be followed. Las time they shaved them off with the top of my ear. I stopped them from doing the same thing today. Every low fade now turnes into a super high fade. I don't get it.
