They are definitely a for profit company and are a great alternative to going to the mall. Nevertheless the staff has no idea how to sell. Obviously management doesn't either or they would make sure staff was trained. If they had trained sales staff I would speculate that revenue would increase 20 to 30%. It's so sad that service is so sluggish and sloppy. I mean it's a great store with a great location. Oh well....

St Bernard has locations throughout the D/FW but their outlet is the true gem! Located out near Love Field in the warehouse sprawl, the Outlet is a bit out of the way for most. Their massive warehouse shop has a huge selection of clearance and last-season apparel, shoes, and outdoor gear for both cold and warm weather. Best known for ski and snowboard apparel, they also have a great selection of hiking gear, swim suits, shoes, luggage, sweaters, and casual apparel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Bear has helped several times and he's very knowledgeable. My only negative perception is that some of their clearance ski apparel tends to be priced very high for an outlet. But like any outlet, it's all about the hunt for a bargain. St Bernard still is a high-end retailer so the brands they carry are top line. But wherever you may be driving from, it's worth the hike. Dallas is definitely not an outdoor mecca, especially for winter sports so it's nice to know for those of us who travel frequently, there's a place to find great gear.
