My biggest fear was if mold was behind the tile - he was confident it wasn't. But of course I asked if it was and he did give me a price like I asked so I would be prepared. The work took 2 days due to drying time and he was able to work with my weird schedule as well. Definitely will use company in the future. And instead of putting the clamps to hold the sink in place on the bottom of the sink, they decided they would do a real c***** c*** job around it. Compared to other contractors that I know, Matrix deserves 5 stars. I gave only 4 because nobody is perfect, but they come pretty close in the world of contracting. 4.5 would be more precise. What got our attention mostly is the material they use. The walls are made with foam insulation sandwiched between two sheets of magnesium board. A basement flood won't destroy your basement, and the material is stronger than regular drywall. The drop ceiling sits straight and the floor looks great too. At first we wanted to know how much just the material would cost us, because we wanted to save money the dyi way. During the estimation process we had them price out the complete contract as well. Then we decided to save ourselves a lot of headaches by letting them do almost the whole job. I like doing the finishing work myself, such as trim and doors. That saved us a few bucks and gives me a few weekend projects.

Addressed concerns with Matrix and they show zero concern, they could care less and are laughing all the way to the bank. Shameful business practice, not to be trusted. Filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well in hopes others do not get taken advantage of like I did.
