Today, we had our gas fireplace insert serviced for a gas leak. Ryan diagnosed and repaired the issue. He and his team were courteous and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves and, upon completion, asked if we had any questions and made sure we were satisfied with the work. Wanted to add a little "wood burning" stove to our 135 year old home. AHF was fantastic with walking my wife and I through options. Eventually settling on a gas stove. AHF set our instal date and there was a minor delay with production of the hearth pad, but they met the second instal date, were there promptly and finished the job quickly. BONUS their installers did a great job of cleaning up after their work. Installed in November 2022 A week later, I noticed something my wife and I didnt 100% like about the installation. After a phone call and sending a pic through email, they said they'd come out and make it 100% for us. Their installer was there promptly, and fixted the issue quickly. It is now March 2023 and we have been enjoying sitting by the fireplace almost every day throughout the winter. read more

I called the shore looking for some fireproof insulation for our enclosure. They were kind and helpful and instructed me to come and pick some up. I did. They store is clean and has different fireplaces to see and different finishes and anything one would need for a fireplace. They also were helpful and nice. They said they would be happy to come and service our fireplace for a maintenance check up and I plan to call them back for that. Once I do- I will edit my rating further. I've had so many contractors over the years with countless home improvement and repair projects and this was perhaps the best contractor experience I've ever had. The project involved installation of reclaimed Cream City Brick around our fire place. Both Fermin and Brian were great at providing me with various options and the installation team of Matt and Chris were fantastic. They were on time, on budget. I must also add that I had explored this same project with a competitor and had a terrible experience and much of it involved how, what I wanted, couldn't be done. The competitor was quite wrong and I'm currently staring at phenomenal and beautiful project finished by American Heritage Fireplace!!! I highly, highly recommend!!! read more

I went to gather information on wood fireplace inserts and ended up putting a down payment on a model and eventually purchasing it a few days later. Brian was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and walked me through the whole process. I had a lot of questions even after I got the unit home and he helped via email and phone conversations when needed. He's someone who really cares and even when the display unit I had was missing a part and had an incorrect sized piece he ordered them and I was able to pick them up the next day! Not only did Brian help me with all my questions about installation, operation, features, etc. but he also was able to navigate the heavy pallet into my unreasonably small trailer and provide advice for securing it safely. I visited American Heritage Fireplace looking to have new glass doors and screens installed in my fireplace, and I was very happy with my experience from start to finish. After a little bit of research online, I was expecting to pay about $2,000 for improvements to my fireplace, so you can imagine how pleasantly surprised I was when they quoted me an all inclusive price of $917. In the showroom, the owner showed me all of the options available for colors and finishes, and I am happy with my choices and they look great in my home. He quoted me 6-8 weeks for custom delivery and installation, however, the installation came early after only four weeks. The sales and service of this company exceeded my expectations, and I would be happy to recommend them to fellow homeowners in Milwaukee. read more

Horrible company with terrible customer service. Takes forever to respond. Once you do get an appointment, they don't show up when they say they will. It takes a negative Yelp review to get their attention but they never replied to me email, much less apologize. Not a dependable company. read more

Really a huge waste of time and money. I initiated a service call in January and had to call repeatedly to get someone to come out to look at my gas fireplace. It took 3 visits to diagnose. All covered under the $165 fee. But, wait...what about my time? Claimed I need a new valve at a cost of around $500. The valve came in July and they wanted me to pay for the part before they would put me on the schedule. Having low trust already I thought I should wait to do the repair when it gets colder so I can see if it fixes the problem. The symptoms changed and I spoke to the manager who said he stands by his diagnosis. When I repeated that the limit switch wire had been loosing its coating and had worsened he told me that I should have another company fix it that he was done. Made clear to him that when I adjust the limit switch wire it works fine. Glad I didn't buy into their diagnosis for the expensive fix. But, as I said no consideration of the amount of my time wasted with them and I'm out the $165. I did call another company and hope they are more accurate and professional. read more

I had a very positive experience of these guys. I presented them with a project I had. They spent a lot of time - a lot of time - seeing if they could make it work. In the end they couldn't but that was not for their lack of effort or interest. They were quick with communication, affable, zealous about their work, respectful, and I owe them this positive review for their good efforts. Admittedly, my project was a bit special so the fact that they couldn't do it should not reflect poorly on Heritage. read more

Can't say enough about this place. Had a gas fireplace installed. They were on time. They did what they say they would do and even more. They were competent. I had some concerns about the height of the flame and if they didn't come over 3 times to insure the flame was working properly. They checked this and checked that. I wrote up the contract that I would finish drywall, tile, etc. I was having a little bit of an issue and even though they technically were not responsible for that, they came again to give me a hand. Wouldn't hesitate a moment to recommend them. Unbelievable service! From service, to sales, to appointments, to installation; impeccable. They want you 110% satisfied. read more

Very well. The 2 men (Brian and Rob) worked very hard. Brian was up on the roof cutting, flashing and working in 95 degree heat. When there was a problem with the installation height, I called and they scheduled right away to take care of it and install it to our specifications. read more

I was looking to add a fireplace to my home so I called American Heritage Fireplace in the hopes that they could help. I initially was put in contact someone there who was very helpful and recommended a gas unit. After that initial meeting my good experience ended. I was put in contact with the sales man/ manager who unfortunately was the typical pushy salesman who was constantly up selling you on things that you don't want and doesn't listen. I still ended up using them and they installed my fireplace fine. However the service was poor the rest of the time I would not recommend using them, there are better companies out there. read more

I needed some service done for my fireplace at my new home I purchased I got in contact with Michal Jarzabek he was willing to work with me and my schedule to get my fireplace up and running and most importantly certified to be safe. I was able to get a accurate quote by just providing pictures from different angles. I am glad that I got this done and didn't take a long time. About 2 hours was needed to get this job done.
