We recently stayed here for our final camp of the season. This park is very clean and quiet. The bath houses are spacious and very clean. Unlike some of the other camp sites I've been to the bath houses have a main entry with a row of toilets and a row of showers. I really like that because you can quickly get in and out and what you need to do. The RV section of the park has regular sites or premium sites. The premium sites come with patio furniture and nicer fire pits. The regular sites have picnic tables and a fire pit. They do have amenities like basketball, a swimming pool, horseshoe, a game room and mini golf. The mini golf was a few holes with no attendant, golf balls or golf clubs in sight. You may need to bring your own stuff or check with the office. The game room only had two games that work. My favorite part of this campground was the trails in the woods. It's a fairly easy trail my kids had a blast. The trail is about 0.88 miles. This park is very quiet so if you are looking to have solace and connect with nature this is your place. If you are looking to party this is not that sort of camp ground. That being said there are a lot of rules. *All kids have to have helmets when riding bikes or scooters! *no clothing lines strung outside * One automobile per site, additional vehicles must be registered. *No rowdy and/or boisterous behavior allowed! They have a-lot of pine cones here! The pine cones are massive and could hurt if they fall on you. Be aware of the falling pine cones! Overall my stay was pleasant.

We enjoyed a full hookup site. This campground is in perfect proximity to all three historic spots as well to Busch Gardens which we went to with the two day pass to break up the large amount of history. This all worked out very well. The campground is very nice, and well taken care of. George is the head of maintenance and grounds, and he makes sure that things get done. The grass is cut, the staff will pickup your bagged trash if you set it out on your site by 9am, picnic tables with umbrellas was a nice addition and the gas grill at each campsite makes cooking easier for the campers. Staff will deliver ice and firewood to your campsite. The swimming pool with splash pad was a big hit with the grandchildren and made the choice of staying at this campground easy. They also have an activity building that features things to do like a basketball shooting game, tabletop shuffleboard, a pool table, giant checkers, various board games, and more. There is a laundry room adjacent. There is a kid jumping pillow, playground, hiking trails, disc golf, and lots more. WiFi was good and the grounds are secure. We enjoyed our stay here. The cost per night of our stay seemed a bit high at first sight but with the many amenities the cost smoothed out once on site. A couple negatives I have is that a $10.00 price tag for a small bag of firewood was very disappointing and over the top. Also, we made our reservations early to ensure locking in on the available site of our choice but then were forced to pay an additional $10 fee to guarantee that they didn't move us into a site that would not be our preferences. Even so, we would stay here again if we wanted to spend more time in this area.

It was a little more than we were looking to spend but the stop was convenient. We arrived after hours and our reservation information was available at the office. We were not provided with a receipt by email or paper, so I was a little disappointed by that. I always receive a receipt in some form when staying at a campground. Other than that, the grounds appeared to be well kept. The sites weren't too close together. Unfortunately I did have a hard time sleeping. In the middle of the night, people were grouped up and speaking very loudly directly behind our camper. I never had that happen before. Their conversation was very loud and kept waking me up. We left really early in the morning the next day so we weren't able to explore much more than that. It was a nice stop though.

Things took an upturn from there and we ended up having a very pleasant stay. After all this, the campground turned out to be pretty nice and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Our site was right on the edge of the bay and very roomy. The amenities were fantastic, the camp store was well maintained; the campsite facilities functioned as they should. We would highly recommend this campground to anyone wishing to have an enjoyable weekend. A good place for kids to play and getting plenty of exercise. Extended our stay with no problems even over a major holiday weekend they went out of their way to adjust for us to stay a few extra days. This park has a lot of long term campers, mostly in the back half of the park around the lake/pond, and up in the tree line. Our site, upfront just off the entry was a short walk to the pool with a nice shade tree. Mostly level packed dirt and gravel, had to use a couple blocks and manually adjust everything a little but it worked. 50 amp FHU in the back right corner with the utility connections fairly close to each other, and worked as they should. The front area appears to be where those staying short term set camp. We had folks around us just overnight on a couple nights. The other rigs were at least a couple spaces away that stayed more than a couple days. The park, at least where we were, was peaceful, clean and comfortable. During the week day very quiet and relaxed. We used the pool a few times, in the evenings and early mornings it was well maintained, clean and hardly used. The check in office/camp store/laundry is in the A frame by the pool as you enter the park. Its dated, but clean and serves its purpose. The park has RV, cabin and tent sites, each with a picnic table and fire ring and various types of hook ups.
