We stayed in a camping cabin and we really enjoyed ourselves. The family amenities are so many and not crowded. The staff really takes care of the customers, they're very welcoming and helpful. They keep the grounds tidy, and neat. They have bathrooms and showers that were clean! I'd definitely recommend this place for camping with kids or without it.

No complaints! This KOA location is clean, has great events and amenities, and staff are very friendly and helpful! We picked this place because my husband unfortunately needed reliable internet while we went on vacation for our child's spring break: I can confirm that the internet here is easy to access and reliable overall! There's plenty to do here if you're not looking to go out in town: pool table, board games, indoor kiddie playground, outdoor playgrounds, rentable trikes, heated pool, the list goes on!

I have stayed here several times now and this last stay was super disappointing. I decided to take my family on a last minute weekend getaway to Busch gardens. I figured staying here would be great as the previous experiences but the first night turned into a horror show. Knowing that we would be late I called ahead of time to let them know we would be checking in after hours. The lady I spoke to on the phone said no problem, we will be sure to leave the light on in the cabin for you along with turning the ac on. Upon arrival I was disgusted with the condition of the cabin (mind you we have stayed in several other cabins here at this campground and never really had any issues). It was after hours so I figured I would address the issues in the morning. Issues being the cabin looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. There were dead bugs laying all over the floor, cobwebs and spiders everywhere and just over filthy (the mattress on the bed was even torn). These are conditions I would expect from a roadside motel not a family campground. That night I ended up getting stung by a hornet and had an allergic reaction. It was a miserable night (my kids didn't sleep because they were scared of all the bugs). And while I get it, we are camping there will be bugs, but I mean come on this was way worse then even tent camping (see pictures). The cabins are deteriorating with holes in the floor boards and on the outside looks like termite damage. I brought the issues up to the lady in the morning and she seemed very apologetic and said she would be sure to share the issues with the manager Peter. She did offer to move our cabin but we were already on our way to Busch gardens and I really don't have time to pack up all my stuff when I'm only staying the weekend. My husband had sprayed and had cleaned while I took a shower in the morning which shouldn't have been our job to do. When coming back from the park I stopped in to speak with the manager Peter and was rudely interrupted by one of the employees who got super defensive and said the cabin was cleaned the day before and that there was no way there were all those cobwebs and bugs. Peter the manager seemed like he could care less, looking down at his paper while I talked to him about the issues. I showed him my allergic reaction and he was like oh here is some burn cream.. what is that going to do for me?! No I'm sorry let me investigate or nothing, like might as well said who cares lady. Like I said it was a huge disappointment because normally this place I love to visit but now I might as well stay at a roadside motel when returning.

Super friendly and helpful staff, our campsite was a little tight for parking after we unhooked, but the site itself was really nice.

This was the most amazing experience! 1st time RV for me. Had some trouble getting the water working properly on the rental RV. Gary the owner came to the rescue! Gary patiently helped me trouble shoot until the water was flowing. The campground is immaculate with tons of amenities. Bathroom & showers were spotless every time and fresh smelling! It's to explore in the area. This is a must visit.

Couldn't have asked for a better stay! We stayed in a deluxe Cabin. We have never stayed at a KOA before and are already planning our trip back. We were coming to go to Busch Gardens and didn't love the idea of the hotels nearby and thought we would take a shot and stay here. It was beyond wonderful! The cabins were spotless and super comfortable. (I should say here I am picky on this stuff). My two girls loved the bunk beds and the playground. Great job to the staff, so friendly and obviously super well run!

Wow. I stayed here for two nights solo with my twin toddler girls in the deluxe cabin. The cabin was KL4. It was by far the best location of a cabin we've had there. The fire pit is semi-secluded and parking isn't right in the walk way. Anyways, my daughter for reason became ill in the night and the staff went way above and beyond to help us. Tom, Rosie and Tonya were such great helps to me. I couldn't have done it alone. Thanks so much guys for such a memorable weekend. Cheers.

Amazing campground with everything you could want and more. Due to the pandemic, the KOA team ensured a safe and speedy check in and we never had to get out of our car. Always super helpful, eager to say Hello and always checked to see that we had everything we needed. We stayed in an awesome little cabin. The new 9 holes disc golf course is AWESOME. TECHNICAL, wooded and fun.

Peter and the team here were great at making us feel welcomed. They work so hard to make the guests comfortable and happy. We stayed in a deluxe cabin for the first time. We loved it. It was better than staying in a hotel for us. We can't wait to go back when Covid is a memory. Activities are limited at this point but still lots to do while social distancing. If you're thinking about it... go here, you won't be sorry.

Those premium spots are just clutch. The morning of call is great. They keep you informed of any changes, say to get setup, and make it super casual. When we arrived, we knew where to setup, knew that checking in wasn't the omg gotta do this moment, and then just had the no-pressure rush. Why I like this campground - it's all about the customer service. We visit the store - smiling, helpful face that loves the dog (always helps) and always attentive to any questions we may have. When folks were having issues I saw folks running to help, fixing issues, and saying hello to customers pulling in.... all at the same instance (looked exhausting - but it's also what sets this place apart). For those that have an issue with the train, I get it... however, at a certain point it becomes white noise and it even entertained our daughter as she watched the coal or passenger trains roll on through. Imo - not a big deal as it just adds to the character of the place... but I guess everyone is different. Keep it up Anvil.. see ya soon! We enjoy camping in our RV and discovered this park had camping sites. So normally if possible we will check out a park before we drag our big beast RV to a location. I found the camping sites real nice and fairly large. None of the site look difficult to back into. However, they do have several pull through sites. None of the sites seem to have any cover - so you will need to deal with the sun and maybe summertime heat. Just know that. Some sites do have E/W. The dump station appears clean and easy in & out. The bath house was very clean As for the rest of the park. Just wonderful biking/walking path. Not sure but there are a few miles of them and all look flat. As for the trails to the water, they are rocked and again I'm sure a mountain biker can easily handle them. Not 100% sure though if bikes are allowed on them - so check before you do. I even seen an older lady driving her motorized wheelchair on these paths and she didn't seem to have any difficulty. The restroom area and picnic pavilions looked great and were very clean. Of course this facility is newer, so I hope they stay looking as great as they do today. I expect we will be back here with the RV in the Fall or Spring. I say this again due to no real shade in the campground area and no swimming avail.
