His presentation was honest and straight forward, he didnt try to sell us stuff we didnt need or want and after inspection of our skylight he could have easliy said we need new ones, but he was honest and said they are good no reason to spend money unnecessarily. The crew was able to finish the job in one day and cleaned up extremely well. The price was better than others and was flexible on how we paid, acutally offered financing if you wanted it. Worked with Travis on a persistent roof leak above my home office, which seemed likely to require a small bit of resealing but potentially a roof replacement. Due to a busy season it took AHC quite a while to fit us in, but once they did, the work was done quickly and thoroughly, and for free as an apology for the delay. Naturally, having the reseal done meant we had a multi-month drought after, but at this point we've finally had enough rain I can say the reseal worked as desired. The point of contact for our project was David DaVeiga. He was extremely thorough in his initial assessment of our roof. He pointed out some of the big issues that could have posed a problem in the coming months and he gave perfect solutions to fix it. His team was very efficient and impressive. I had a small leak on my roof. AHC was recommended to me and I'm glad I decided to call them. I worked with the owner Jon and Corey back at the office. Corey was an excellent communicator and customer service was his top priority. Jon came out, sealed a few areas for me and said I was ok with the existing roof for a while longer. It's been a pleasure working with the American Home Contractors team. My first meeting with Dave was handled professionally and with care and consideration. This treatment carried over through my entire experience with American Home Contractors. We replaced the old stucco and cedar siding with James Hardie planks and shingles. All of our windows were replaced with new Beechworth Windows. We also replaced all soffit and gutters. Our house looks like a brand new house! We are so happy with this new transformation. We searched for a windows contractor on Home Advisor. After comparing to several contractors, we finally pick American Home. The salesperson showed up quickly and presented us with samples. He was very, polite, professional and not pushing. The window should be ordered from Ohio manufactures right away and be installed the weekend before Thanksgivings. For some reason, the person who is in charge our project left the company and our project was left in the drawer without putting any order. When I called the week before scheduled installation, folks from American Home was surprised to find out that we have been left behind hanging dry. I am glad that the owner, John Parker, called us immediately and apologized sincerely. He did everything he can trying to fix the issue. The order was submitted right away and was finished within three weeks. Installation of our seven windows happen on Saturday. It is the busiest day every week for them. You need to schedule at least two-three weeks ahead if you want it done on weekend. The two guys came in the morning. He kindly protect our floor and carpet with cover. I thought it will take at least a day, and I am happy that all windows were installed within 3 hours. The wall and the window trims get scratched. I have to re-touch the trims and re-paint the walls. During the whole process, the owner kept constant communication with us on every update. read more

We had a small ceiling leak on the back extension of our house. I called AHC and Dave DaVeiga responded. We set up an appointment. I was impressed with him from our first phone conversation. Now, my wife and I had our suspicions that we were going to need a new roof (shingles were starting to curl etc.) but of course we don't know much about this stuff. Dave was prompt, professional and thorough. Our suspicions were correct. He did an extensive walk through with us. Dave came back a few days later with a quote. I did some research and we decided to go with them. Mainly because of Dave and the feeling we both got that he really enjoyed and took a great deal of pride in his work and his crew's work. While we were waiting for our roof to be done I noticed that one of our neighbors went the cheap route while replacing their roof. Even though John wasn't able to help me with the issue I had, knowing that he still picked up the phone to check and see if there was anything he could help with. I told him of the situation and he gave me some advice, free of charge and only asked that I consider him when thinking of any future work. It's rare for people to offer advice free anywhere, much less in an area where most people are unfamiliar, and can get some *bad* advice. I have to thank John for his honesty and his help, and if he was willing to do it for nothing, just imagine how that ethic and honesty can be used when actually doing the work. These guys are FAST & they do high quality work. We had our vinyl siding redone. Very professional & easy to communicate with, which is so important when doing any kind of contracting work. We hit a minor snag where they didn't seal an area after removing the old siding on the first day so a raccoon got into our attic overnight, waking us up at 4am rummaging around there. However they offered to pay for an exterminator & they quickly sealed it up when they got to the house. Also, there were materials still left around our house after they finished (they started another job before fully finishing ours), which made us a little put off. But once those were cleaned up a few days later, we felt incredibly happy about the whole project. These were both probably random instances that just happened to have occurred with our project & we don't think it is any indication of their work ethic. We already recommended AHC to our neighbors & would recommend them to anyone looking to redo siding or roofing. The team handling the gutters did an A+ job as well.
