Update: While I unfortunately cannot comment on the quality of their work - I can't be more impressed with the owners, Chris & Vick, for immediately reaching out to discuss my review below. Based on our conversation it's clear that they both care immensely about their clientele - retained or not. The simple fact that they reached out personally to understand the situation demonstrates their commitment to customer satisfaction. While there was a missed opportunity in the past, I will absolutely consider them for future projects down the line. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We had a tree severely damage our house and needed extensive repairs. While doing the necessary repairs to the home through insurance we also decided to take the opportunity to remodel our kitchen and dining room areas out of pocket. The contractor who came out was extremely condescending and belittling - assuming that my wife and I could not afford the cost of the project. On multiple occasions the contractor made unnecessary comments related to the anticipated costs of the remodel - alluding to our assumed inability to afford the scope of the work. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere and couldn't be happier with the outcome of the work done. There are plenty of contractors in the market that will deliver a high quality product without thumbing their nose at you or assuming that they're too good for any job. If you want a company that acts like they're elite but only deliver the same outcome as anyone else - look no further - this is a great choice for you. However, I'd suggest you avoid the holier than thou attitude and find someone who will not only get the job done, but also treat you right. read more

What can I say! They were very patient with me as it was a possitive but yet a challenge to pick out and decorate my new space. They worked with me and really went above and beyond ! Magnolias job isn't just to make my home beautiful which they exceeding. Their job was also making sure I was 1000000 percent happy with the job they set out to do which, I was! I worked with many people named Chris but a huge shout out to Chris who was the project manager that really did wonders making sure the job ran smoothly and made sure I was satisfied with the outcome! Vic also made it a point to come by several times to make sure things got done which was nice to see the owner of a huge company making time for his clients. Magnolia is a great company to work with if you are looking to do a remodel for your home. Worth every penny and trust me your will spend a few but the job will be done right and professionally. We just completed an extensive exterior renovation of our home and couldn't be happier with the Magnolia's work and effort. From the beginning consultation, Will helped guide us through the many decisions and offered alternatives we would never have considered. One of the owners, Chris, was involved before we ever signed a contract and was a constant presence throughout the project up until completion. Franklin's work was masterful; we still can't believe it's the same house. No project goes perfectly smooth, but when bumps in the road arose, they did their best to address them as quickly as possible. We originally got estimates to do renovations on our previous home. We ended up up not doing the work at that time but Vic's attention to our needs made him memorable. Fast forward a few years and our new home needed a bathroom enlarged and made accessible. Vic and Chris came up with a plan to make the vision come true. Great experience working with Vic and Magnolia. We had our kitchen gutted to the studs and had major structural work done as well (tearing down a load-bearing wall, part of the roof, etc.). Also had a composite deck installed from scratch. The work was completed well ahead of schedule with very little "down time". The subcontractors all did very solid work and communicated very well whenever we had questions. Also, Vic was super responsive via text or phone, when it was needed. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone who has a complex project that requires a variety of subcontractors. Entire project took 9 weeks which was WAY AHEAD of the original schedule. read more

Too many people. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Got several estimates for kitchen renovation. Their rep came to give an estimate, did not take measurements and blurted out an estimate that was 30K more than the others just based on visually scanning the kitchen. After visiting their website, I understood why. THEY HAVE A LOT OF PEOPLE TO PAY. No thanks. They probably do really good work but I'm not interested in paying high administrative costs. My interest is paying for materials and labor. Also, I got the strangest feeling that this guy ( the rep ) really wasn't interested in getting the job. read more

He seemed very concerned and sincere about my experience with one of his staff. He personally came out to my home to review my project. He was prompt and kept me updated with his timing. He was knowledgeable and thanked me for allowing them the opportunity to reset my first impression. I don't know what their quote will be but they will definitely earn my business even if it isn't on this project. Had flood damage called to redo kitchen and dining room. Very responsive but when came to look and present quote I had to sign on dotted line right then and there. Not into pressure sales. Found a friend recommendation who did the job for 40% less and my insurance company was happy. I should've put in upgrades to meet the higher budgets I presented but I replaced what I had! Friendly and responsive when inquiring and scheduling an estimate. For your estimates, aim to schedule it for the weekend if possible, as they don't provide a set time of when they will arrive, only a 2-3 hour window. If you are home anyway during the day, that's no problem. But it would be hard to justify taking a whole day off just to wait around for an estimate. read more

We recently finished a first floor townhouse renovation with Magnolia, which included a total kitchen gut, new flooring throughout, all new lighting, painting, crown molding, etc. We absolutely hands down loved everything about our experience with Magnolia from start to finish. Renovations can be stressful but not with Magnolia. Vic is beyond professional, has a high degree of integrity, great attention to detail and truly cares about customer satisfaction. He has an amazing team who we worked closely with every day - Nichole, Chris C. and Alexis. They were extremely responsive and buttoned up which was very important to me. I knew at the end of each week what was going to happen the following. If something changed I knew about it immediately. I also cannot say enough about the vendors Magnolia works with. They all work together seamlessly so there is never a mistake. I was also very impressed with how much the vendors respect Magnolia. Every one of them told me that they are the best and they really are. Anthony, the kitchen designer, was amazing with our cabinetry - he gave me a dream kitchen with the small area he had to work with. We feel lucky and grateful we found Magnolia and went with them, since it was a big undertaking for us. I was always so confident throughout the process and I am very fussy and meticulous. But so is the Magnolia team! They take pride in their workmanship. If there was a slight bump in the road, it was rectified in a minute. I can't imagine working with anyone else. We just contracted with Magnolia for a second project - a bathroom renovation. We put off these projects for years because we never trusted any other contractors to take on the scope of the work. My wife and I have saved for several years for a much needed vinyl siding job and couldn't be happier with results. -Quotes and pricing - Vic (owner) came to our house and was very straightforward with his presentation. Answered a lot of our questions and told us where to spend the money and were to avoid unnecessary cost. Never felt pressed. Dollar wise, they were on the higher side of average but not outrageous. -Ahead of work - Vic was great in communicating when things were getting delivered including porta-potty, siding, railings, dumpsters, etc etc. -Work itself - project started and ended on time and went on without a problem. Mike M. (Project Manager) worked with town on permits. Crew showed up early, and left late. Whole project took about 7 days which is what Vic told us upfront. -Property was spotless after everything was done. Way too expensive. We went with a word-of-mouth family owned and operated construction business that did the same job for less than half the price. Magnolia wanted to tear off the whole roof, and later our contractor discovered that was the necessary step as well. But we didn't have to pay the whole $75,000 they were asking for. We are pleased with the bargain we got with the other contractor. For the same complete job, we paid $31,500 with another contractor who received the same A rating on Angie's List. After having seen the wonderful siding job completed by Magnolia on my neighbor's home, I chose to give them a call to set up time for an estimate. Chris Fontana came over, gave me a thorough description of his company and samples from his iPad, of the work they've done in the past. He took measurements of the home, and provided my with material samples, for which my wife and I made a selection. A day or two later, Chris provided me with a proposal for the estimate which we ended up approving. Chris's team showed up on the day Chris said they would and did a wonderful job. They worked very hard and were methodical in their approach. After all was said and done, our house was transformed into a beautiful, bright home! The quality of the work was excellent! The job was completed quickly and the team took care of all the little details that made the house to look beautifully finished. Our neighbors were quickly to pay us compliments. My wife and I contacted Magnolia for a Window replacement job over the summer. It was only 9 windows but Chris took care of us and treated us just the same as if it was a 40 window job. We were very impressed with the responsiveness and communications that he provided. His pricing was fair and honest, and the windows he recommended were very good and within our budget. Once we had agreed on Windows and pricing and the job began, things went flawlessly. The job was completed on time and with absolutely no issues. They work clean and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the result. I contacted a total of 4 contractors for this job and of all of them Chris was the only one that seemed honest. The others were all used car salesman and gave absurd pricing and then would miraculously knock thousands off their estimate. Magnolia gave me an honest price the first time and that is why we selected them. Recently, my home developed a leak during a rain storm. In panic mode I called a variety of roofing contractors, all of whom left me either waiting for them to never show up, or just told me my job was not important enough/big enough to warrant a visit. This went on for 3 days. I called Chris to see if he knew of anyone that could help and he had someone at my house to help me out a few hours later. He really came through for me and I couldn't be more grateful. In 4 months or so my wife and I will be getting our siding replaced and there is no doubt in our minds who we will award the deal to. Contacted them to get an estimate on interior painting because that is a service listed for them on Angie's List. The man I spoke to (David) explained that they are more of a general contracting company and I am better off contacting a painting company directly - okay, completely understood. I was about to ask him for an estimate on a complete renovation of my kitchen and bathroom, which would be of course thousands of dollars in business, but he rushed me off the phone and actually hung up on me. He was so rude that he missed out on major projects I was about to give to him (I hadn't called anyone else yet). I would never want to work with someone so unprofessional.
